My kids ran themselves ragged at Hyper Kidz. It's a large space with lots of different places to play. Since we went on a holiday, the cost was $20 per kid + tax, so it's roughly equal to most other play places. After you ditch your shoes and coat, you enter and the kids go wild. To your left is a massive play structure that takes up half the space. To your right, you'll find a smaller area designated for younger kids. Past that, there's a good sized area for the 0-2 age bracket. Continue forward and you'll see a broken digital dance floor where a mascot occasionally comes out for a dance party. I appreciated the variety found in each play structure. There were slides and climbing areas and ball pits. There's limited seating for parents, so if there's a huge crowd, you may have a hard time finding a seat. It's also pretty difficult to keep track of your kids - once they're inside that giant structure, it's kind of a black hole. I did appreciate that HyperKidz has one of those awesome drinking fountains optimized for filling water bottles. If your kids are like mine, they'll be chugging water as they run mad. I saw several party rooms, but we were just there on our own. If you need your kids to blow off steam for a few hours, HyperKidz is a good choice. When we had to leave after three hours, my boys were sad to go. That's the sign of a good time. Tip: Sign your waiver online before you arrive to speed up your check-in!

Dirty floors, tiny bathrooms, rude staff. Is the last thing that i expect when visiting a children's indoor playground, however it was my first impression of this location. Along with security, which was extremely confusing and intimidating. Their pricing online for 2 adults and a child under 3 is $12.99. However, I was charged $20 for myself, my sister and my 1 year old. This could not have been a confusion as the waiver requires the child's DOB. Needless to say will not be returning.

It was a discount Wednesday so it was busy. But it was nice to see the workers out and walking. The play area is tall enough that adults can walk though with kids if they don't want to leave you. I do think older kids should be kept more out of the littles area. But it was a large place for enough people. The bag/ shoes storage area should be changed. There isn't enough for everyone

We only paid $14 for entry (adults free) and I believe as long as you wear your wristband you can leave to eat then come back in whenever.

It was perfect for our 15 mo. There was plenty of seating and tables for parents, plus a designated area for parties, which is a nice touch. They also have a solid menu with coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, and options for kids. I only tried the coffee which was good, and the food looked great from what I saw. They do require kids to wear grippy socks. We didn't come prepared, but they had them available for just $1.99. I did notice a few kids without them, so it doesn't seem heavily enforced. Also, parents will need to remove their shoes. One of the best parts was that there's no time limit on play, and they allow in-and-out access, which makes it really easy if you're juggling errands or a toddler's schedule. Overall, such a great find and definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.

Once getting inside, we put our belongings in a few cubbies (Chicago winter bulk), and checked in. I signed a waiver for my daughter on an iPad that I returned to the cafe counter -- no separate registration area. You can pretty much see the entire space when you walk in. There are three themed play scenes (firehouse with brick-looking blocks inside, a medical area, and a farmers market corner. Additionally, there are two indoor climbing gyms, a ball pit connected to a large play vehicle via slide, and a more protected area for kids under 36 months that was more cushioned. A party room to the left when you enter. Our kiddos loved the many play vehicles that were scattered throughout the space. There's also a large inflated inner tube with handrails for kids to safely jump. We also had a lot of fun with the red vehicles that can set up at the top of two gentle ramps. My toddler requested to go down the ramp several times; "more more!". This play space was definitely had more cafe seating than I expected, with 4 couches in a row even facing the play area with coffee tables out in front. The avocado sandwich my sister and I split was delicious. Nicely toasted, packed with fresh ingredients and a tasty alioli with a hint of spice. It tasted like it was made from scratch and with love. One of the better sandwiches I've ever had at a cafe! Staff were friendly and attentive too. All in all, the set up is great for parents and toddlers. I wish there was a station for dirty toys that have been chewed on/put in ones mouth but I can see that the primary age group for this playcafe is 3+. We had a great time and I would consider coming back again, especially as our little ones can play more and more independently.

We have only visited this location for birthday parties, once when they first opened and once…read morerecently. The first birthday that we attended was a mediocre experience. It was a Sunday late afternoon. The venue had at least three birthday parties ongoing at the same time. Each birthday party's section was divided by a short fence. Separation is minimal at best. There were too many kids in most of the inflatables and the capacity level did not appear to be controlled. Parents had very limited space to stay close to their children. It is not an issue for older children but it can be a challenge for younger ones. With the more recent birthday party, the hosts opted for a private 2.5 hour session and it was a lot more comfortable. The party had approximately 50 people. Our children were able to venture and explore at their own comfort and with plenty of space to jump, bounce, and run. I am unsure if FunFlatables has the option to cater food but the hosts brought pizza, fruits, cookies, soft drinks, juice, and birthday cake. Our party had at least six plastic picnic tables so there were enough seating for everyone. The venue is relatively clean. There are two all gender bathrooms. For a private party with a controlled capacity, that is adequate. If they have open play and/or birthday parties with a lot of attendees, that might not be adequate. Most children in the midst of fun tend to wait till the last minute to indicate they have to use the bathroom so you might want to plan ahead!

We did his party on a Friday evening (5-8pm) and it worked out perfectly. Sure certain areas are closed at certain times but while we are usually there they eventually open them up. Not had any issues. A lot of the equipment you can tell has been used pretty good, but just like with anything still should watch your littles at all times. I would try to avoid weekends if possible. Lots of parking. They have dot ice cream that isn't dippin but still good...so bonus!

The good: - Once your kids get the hang of the self-latch system, they'll be able to climb safely without close supervision. - There are lots and lots of climbing walls and some have unique features. It's very entertaining for climbers over 48". - They have a drinking fountain. - They have hand sanitizer dispensers. The bad: - Many areas were shut down. We couldn't do the ninja course because "something is leaking from the ceiling" in one of the areas. Some features on the climbing walls (like the wheel you turn to bring a trapeze thing closer to a ledge) are broken. - They are severely understaffed. When we visited on Monday, Aug. 11, the ropes course was only open for a few minutes, as was the wall-hang slide. Because those areas require employees and there weren't enough people to work them, they were closed off for the bulk of our visit. - It's a bit expensive. I feel like I'd pay the $30 per kid if they had access to everything, but between the broken attraction and the areas shut down because of staffing issues, the price felt steep. - There's not a lot of seating available if you're a parent who just wants to watch. There are a few benches, but you can't see large sections of Funtopia when you're sitting there. I was hoping to do some work on my laptop, but there were no tables near the benches. - If you leave, you cannot re-enter once you leave the building, so hunger may become an issue as outside food is not allowed. I'd love to come back here with my kids, but I hope they have enough staff to keep all the attractions running and I hope they fix the "something leaking" on the ninja course. I got the sense that this was a place run by teenagers and the owners may be absent or uninvolved.
