This was a huge mistake. As soon as this one night show was announced I bought tickets. The comedians in the Stone Cold and the Jackal Show were actors I watch regularly on a television series. What fun it would be to see them do a live comedy show where they play very serious characters. It was distressing when my skin cancer surgery was scheduled for the day before the Funny Bone show. Knowing my son was coming for the surgery I bought a ticket for him knowing he would be able to keep me safe. That wasn't the case due to the business's lack of preparation for an almost sold out show at a larger venue. The new location is a beautiful large space, much improved from their previous location overlooking the plaza at Town Center. The Pembroke Square space, just across Virginia Beach Boulevard from the old location, has a spacious, large seating area. There isn't a bad seat in the house unless there's a large head blocking your view. Our table for four was on a wide aisle with great leg space. The big problem came from the fact that the club hadn't planned well for or adjusted to handling a full house in the much larger venue. It was obvious when we arrived early to find a long line for their valet parking staffed by only two employees. I'm not sure what my son told them when he walked from the vehicle to the valet stand. It must have been an explanation of my medical condition because an extremely nice attendant shortly came to my vehicle and told us he would take us now. I'm not sure whether that turned out to be a good or bad thing. There was an extremely long line in cold blowing wind with no attention at all paid to assist handicapped people. My son held onto my arm trying to protect my hand. In the line in front of our party I saw a woman using a walker and another in a wheelchair. Not good! It was such a relief to finally get inside. Our server came promptly to take our food order. It was a typical menu similar to Cinema Cafes accessed by a QR code posted on the table. I had checked it ahead of time on line to find finger food that I could eat with my left hand, since the other was immobilized from surgery, The order was taken on a digital device. Everything seemed good......at the time. The problem was that the food never came. As the time passed both the tables around me & I started to question our server, who was busy running the charge cards for the people across the aisle. Just before the show ended the man at the table next to mine told our server to cancel his food order, After the show ended my server came to the table, apologized & said the soft drinks we had received were comped. The poor man at the next table asked me "Does this mean I don't have to pay for drinks either?" It was total confusion, To make things worse the show was bad. One of the actors was funny. The other should stick to his TV role. The end was excruciatingly bad. They asked for words from the audience, which they plugged into what was supposed to be a funny script, but wasn't. By the end of the debacle my hand was really hurting. My son told me to stay at the table while he navigated the valet line. He left to do that. To our surprise what appeared to be a kitchen employee brought our food order in 5 big takeout boxes, which we couldn't possibly get outside in 2 plastic bags. I texted my son, who then parked my vehicle he had just gotten from valet. He came back inside to take the food, me & my heavy, heavy purse holding the 3 souvenir glasses you had to buy to get the unlimited refills that we didn't need since we got no food. It was a relief to get home, have a late dinner and take 2 pain pills. Needless to say I forgot to take a picture of the food. The sweet potato fries were very good. The chicken strips had WAY too much breading. It will be a long time (if ever) before I go to Funny Bone again.

This is the first time that we had been to this location. I like this building and the large parking lot. Inside the building a beautiful full bar greeted the attendees of the Marlon Wayans comedy show. It was nice to grab a beverage while we waited for the interior venue doors to open. The seating was tight because the show was sold out but we were very comfortable at our table. The acoustics of the room were great. The entire lineup of comedians were enjoyable. The food was delicious and the server was great. We will be back. A great night watching Marlon Wayans.

Was able to check out the new location watching Felipe Esparza. Well worth the price of tickets. Love that the new location is on one floor and the setup is a bit better, just wish all the tables were like the bar style facing forward. It's uncomfortable watching sideways even after altering your seat and shifting your body. The food wasn't the best and wish they had more fresh items on the menu. Our waiter was not too great. He kept mixing up our drinks with the couple that sat with us and seemed irritated by his own mistake. We had to correct him literally 5 times that the couple didn't get a bottle of wine and that the glass of wine on our bill wasn't ours. He didn't ask if we were done with our food nor if we wanted a box and instead just grabbed it after we paid. I can't recall his name but I think it was Buddy, but was a mid aged African American guy.

Came to the new Funny Bone location to see Desi Banks! This is my first show at the new location, but I have been going to Funny Bone for years! We came for the 9:45 show. Doors were supposed to open at 9. We got there at 9:22 and doors didn't open until 10:20. The show didn't start til almost 11 and still had 2 opening acts. We had a party of 6 and all ordered drinks and food. I had a margarita and it tasted like straight juice for $14. Our food never came despite our waitress telling us at almost midnight it was "coming right now." By 12:30, we still didn't have our food. When we finally got our food, I immediately asked for a box. I never got one and had to ask 3 times before finally getting one after the show was over and the place was cleared out. At a little after 1, we were still inside, the absolute last part there STILL waiting to pay. We did end up getting our food free of charge. The menu says parties of 8+ would have automatic gratuity, but our checks still had added gratuity. At that point, I didn't even have the energy to question it. The waitress had every excuse on why things went the way they went, but she hardly ever came to our table. If she did, she would have realized way sooner we never got our food and possibly fixed the situation sooner. The new Funny Bone is nice. It is much larger and more spacious, but the service is POOR. It seems the staff is unable to accommodate a much larger crowd. Also, parking is terrible. If you get there late, expect to have to park around the corner at Kohls or Target. They do offer valet parking for $10. I have never had such a poor Funny Bone experience and I have been going every few months for years! They definitely have some work to do at this new location! I'll give it ONE more chance in hopes that this was a fluke.

This review has nothing to do with the show itself because it was very funny. Thanks Corey B. This review is about the facility itself. They need to make some changes. Perhaps more time between the shows and being honest and real about times. Doors open at 7:45 for a show at 8:30. Fortunately we were there early and in the beginning of the line but the line was looooongggg!!!!!! I would hate for it to be cold or raining. The doors did not open at 7:45. We were seated at a table for 4. I felt like everyone at our table was on a United flight in seat 34B. It was cramped!!!!!! Definitely not enough room. Sardines. And the bathrooms are a long way away. Not very handicapped accessible. Fortunately we had no problems with food or drinks. Service was good. The food is what you would expect. Fries.....kind of soggy and limp. And we got the nachos. Would I l go back? Yes....if there was a comedian I really wanted to see. I would go way early and realize that I am there for the comedian not the food, seating or service or drinks.

The new location is really nice and easily accessible. I think they should get rid of the $10 valet parking service, as it's not necessary--people just want a quick laugh, drink, and bite to eat. There is plenty of parking nearby within a short walk. The food prices are a bit high, for example, $17 for 8 buffalo wings, $16 for a regular-sized burger, and $11 for gourmet fries. Still, all the food was delicious. I would return to see a well-known comedian but not an up-and-coming one, due to the menu prices. The service was excellent and very attentive. Overall, we had a great time!

The venue is very nice since the remodel!!! The waitresses were the best and Damon Williams was hysterical ! The food was a miss for me . I ordered the wings and they just did not have much flavor. I will definitely return to the venue to see other comedians thought!

Ready for some good laughs :)

Nice comedy spot. Pretty good comedians that I've seen so far. It's nothing worse than seeing comedians that don't even make you crack a smile. Tickets are reasonably priced. Seating is arranged by the club. It's four to a table. Seating is pretty close so get to know your neighbor lol. Drinks were good. We didn't order any food. So can't comment on that. We enjoyed the show even though it started 45 minutes late. would be nice to start on time. I still would attend another show when in the area. There's plenty of parking available. We parked in the parking lot up the street. It was free.

Just a couple of friends getting together and having a night out. We went out to dinner and went to funny bone after... It was easy getting in, the waitress were great... Fast, quick, accurate... It's not anything fancy, but you aren't there for the easy the building looks.. Just to enjoy the show.

I've been to the Funny Bone quite a few times and every time has been an enjoyable experience so when I saw the advertisements for Guy Torry, I definitely wanted to see him. Thankfully, I'm on their emailing list and was able to get the tickets for a discounted price. Once we arrived for the 7:30pm show, we waited in a very brief line before being seated. The menus are within the QR Codes on the tables so once we scanned the code, we were able to view what items we wanted. We decided to do burgers and margaritas while we enjoyed the show. I chose the Fire Burger which was absolutely amazing (highly recommend) and the drinks were great as well. The opening comedians were pretty funny and Guy Torry was great, we were laughing the entire time. Unfortunately, the area we were sitting in had very close seating so the waiters continuously apologized for bumping our tables/chairs as they were bringing out food. The area was very dark as well, so it made it hard for them to see tables and we even struggled with seeing our food when we received it. If that area could be a little more lit, I'm sure it would help the waiters greatly. Needless to say, the drinks and food were great so I recommend checking out the Funny Bone if you are looking for a good, comedy show.

But I've never seen them host a main stage production of a major musical theater work such as Stephen Sondheim's "Assassins". The theater experience was perfect. It's a great space in a great location. I'd love to see them partner more often with production companies who perform musical theater works and plays that can be staged in their space.

We arrived around 10 minutes after it opened and it was already starting to get busy. You can pay to play at the desk next to the bumper cars which is closest to the ropes course, escape rooms, axe throwing and go kart racing. They do offer military discounts with an ID, just ask. They will give you a ball color of your choice for game use when you pay. Clubs are at the entrance to the right of the golf course along with the score cards and pencils on the wall. I love how they have a place at each hole number to place the score card and pencil which also provides a surface to write down your score. The course is under black lights which the edges of the course are outlined. 9/2024 This was pleasantly fun! However, it was multi -sensory overload for me the moment I walked in. We were there to celebrate my niece's birthday as a belated birthday treat for her & we had family come in out of town, who also recently had a birthday. If you do research on their website you will discover they have A LOT to do! But like everyone has mentioned activities are individually priced. I feel like the more you book, the more you should get some combo discount. They do offer 15% off for military with an ID, but not online. Caveat - It's only in person with proof of ID and you can't come in earlier in the week or in advance and pay for attractions for the future and get the 15% military discount off. It has to be purchased & used on the same day for it to be applied. There are no military discounts on Dark Ride. Some attractions you need to book in advance online like bowling, escape rooms, axe throwing, & the simulators. Check their website for any changes. Saturdays are popular, so I signed a contract for advanced scheduled attractions so that my niece and cousin could participate in the activities they wanted, to prioritize & not be disappointed or waiting a long time to participate. You do get a discount if you do so but a signed contract & payment is due prior. You don't even have to come in person to do it. Either call or email for your inquiries and they can work something out for you. We didn't book a party although you can do that but a food minimum is required and a reserved room is only for 45 minutes. Skyla, one of the events coordinator made things super easy & convenient to book. She was very helpful answering questions. I had never been so I wasn't familiar where attractions were located. Once I found out, I planned all the activities on the same floor back to back for convenience & chose available times that were roughly 30 minutes apart. We just showed up, checked in at the desks located close to that attraction. Silas, one of the managers came to greet me and informed me where to go. He was pleasant and willing to answer any questions. We did the 30 minute Zombie Research Lab escape room. You want to check in 20 minutes prior to your reserved time. It was fun and we broke out with 7 min & 22 seconds left with a group of six. They have quality props and hints pop up on the tv monitor. Four of us participated in the ropes course. You're allotted 15 minutes to do whatever elements you want. They make you empty out all your pockets for safety since you're 40 feet above the ground over the bowling alley. I'm not sure if it was because we booked it as a group under a contract that it was only the 4 of us at the one session, but that was nice. There were maybe one or two elements that were challenging. But it was still fun! Our 3rd activity was axe throwing which is a flat fee regardless of the number of people, max of 6 per lane for an hour. Darrel was our instructor and he was fun! We really enjoyed ourselves and with some of us he really tried his best to help land some throws but some just couldn't. There were alot in our group that didn't participate but they were able to enjoy us throwing axes. My niece was killing it with her throwing skills. Our last activity was an hour of bowling. These are time sensitive so you better arrive 15 min earlier to get your rental shoes and pick your ball. We did the VIP lane which is an additional price but great because there are only 4 VIP lanes and they are away from the rest of the lanes. You can still see lanes 5 and on but there's a glass wall in between & it's a lot quieter. The seating is comfortable and enough to fit six people. Bowling is also a flat fee for an hour or more up to six people. Plus an additional $5 pp for shoe rentals. But if you have a military ID you can get up to six shoe rentals for free. You can also order food at your lanes but I don't think anyone came by to take our order. Unless someone in our group went up & ordered. Overall we spent from 2pm -7pm there. We even squeezed in a hologate game of Zombie Resurrection which is an adventure in itself!

Despite a lot of guests bowling at once, wait times were reasonable and the lanes had comfortable seating areas for everyone to relax between turns. Apex has a gigantic arcade, axe throwing, bumper cars, an immersive dark ride, escape rooms, high-speed go-kart racing, Hologate VR, laser tag, mini golf, pool tables, a ropes course, and even sports simulators! That was a little weird tho. Took us a min to get started, not sure what the hold up was. Once we began, I feel like our instructor went at a decent pace and explained directions thoroughly throughout the night. As the night went on, there was a staff member who consistently went around all night collecting trash and telling everyone their painting was "beautiful" and "nice." This made all of us attendees laugh because we all felt our paintings were actually looking crazy lol. Had the option to order food and drinks directly at the bar or to scan a QR code attached to our easels and order from our phones. We didn't get any food because we had dinner plans, but from what I saw other people order, the food looked pretty decent. I did try a drink, the White Peach Sangria (8/10) it was decently sweet and refreshing. I can see myself going back for another painting class. We did the individual paintings side of the building, but on the other side, the easels are coupled together for the paintings to be "connected" so I think we'll do that painting style next time.
