She even showed me how to pencil in my eyebrows properly and now they look fantastic when I do them myself. She also took great care to make sure I was buying the right colour of face powder - we tried several until we found one that was just right! This made me very happy because my last experience buying powder at the Downtown location at The Bay, I almost had to argue with the makeup artist over what colour I needed because she was trying to make me buy a shade darker than my paper white pale complexion in case I got tan during the summer and I patiently had to explain to her that I wear 75spf sunscreen on my face and tanning was out of the question. I like this location and will be back next time I need something.

No time spent asking me what I wanted, what I might consider, or what she thought might look nice on me. When I got home, my brows were too dark, too thick, and too short. During the trial she was very detailed and took lots of time to make sure that I was happy with the final look, and on the wedding day the whole team that came (we had a large bridal party, and Mink will provide more assistants to the main artist to make sure that you finish on time) was fantastic. What was important for me too was that everyone had very good hygiene standards when doing our makeup, so nobody was worried about cold sores or breaking out from contaminated product. They were very kind and professional and helped keep the morning on schedule. Sana did a beautiful job with the makeup for my Bridesmaids. And Zoey did gorgeous natural glam for me and also helped my more senior mom with her makeup (my mom has alopecia and Zoey gave her beautiful false lashes and natural looking eyebrows). *Important note: I didn't do a trial* For my hair, I asked for more beachy curls, and specifically not a super polished curled look. Zoey did a gorgeous half pinned detail in the back, but the curls were far too tight and didn't look like the images I shared. She assured me she'd adjust to make the curls more relaxed but we ran out of time so I ended up having to do some fixing myself to get the look I wanted. I think she wasn't expecting my hair to take curls so well! Ultimately I was a bit disappointed that the hair wasn't totally what I wanted, but since I didn't do a trial and there was no time left for adjustments to be made, I made peace with it.
