This place has seriously gone downhill since being turned into a restaurant. First off, it took almost 2 hours to eat there. We ordered the starter and entrees all at once (2 burgers, 1 kids sliders, 1 fried mushroom). Took about 40 minutes to get the app and then another 45 minutes to get the burgers. Burgers were not great. Our toddler fortunately refused to eat her burger, and I say fortunately because the wife and I both ended up with food poisoning, I'm assuming from the meat since the little one at everything but the meat. The arcade was eating kid's quarters left and right all of the claw machines were too loose to even attempt to pick up a prize. None of the machines would scan the QR for free play. To top it all off, manager was never came around to check on the tables never helped the poor understaffed kids who were clearly stressed at the Friday night crowd, nothing. Instead was outside hitting the vape in front of the restaurant in between check ins or telling the bus boy where to go. Overall just a really bad experience and not the first time we've given it a shot (last time we had horrible service and the burger quality tanked from when it was a food truck), thought it was a fluke but clearly something has changed. We get it. Friday crowds are tough. But this place used to be a go-to in the Spring Branch area. We don't have much and it's being taken over by corporate restaurants like Chili's. Fun Buns in Spring Branch - A Delightful Experience! My visit to Fun Buns was fantastic from start to finish. The Sea Bun was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. My love went for the Cowboy Bun, and it was just as impressive with bold, savory flavors that hit the spot. The menu really offers something for everyone! The atmosphere was just as enjoyable as the food. The bathrooms were sparkling clean, which is always a nice touch. The game room added an extra element of fun, making it a great spot to relax after a tasty meal. On top of that, the host and wait staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely be trying out their mixed drinks. If you're passing by you gotta check out Fun Buns in Spring Branch. Seriously, forget all the smash burger hype happening all over Texas. This place is doing something way cooler. I went for the PB&J burger because, and it was unreal. The patty was thick and juicy, and the mix of creamy peanut butter with that sweet and spicy raspberry chipotle jelly was just mind-blowing. My buddy got the Hawaiian burger, and that thing was just as good the grilled pineapple was a game-changer. To top it off, we got a boozy shake, and it was the perfect end to a perfect meal. My wife and I finally made it by here to eat a late lunch. We sat at the bar to watch some Sunday football while eating. We had the pleasure of having the GM wait on us due to employee not showing up. He took it all in stride and did a great job. The food, burgers we had, were great. we had the pleasure of being served by Gage at the bar and the fried mushrooms which are delicious and huge. Great suggestion. We left to an appointment and came back to have dinner and I had the PJ Bacon burger and OMG it's was so savory I highly recommend. you would think the combination may be weird but trust me it all complimented one ingredient to the next and with sweet potato fries oh my heaven. and they're thick cut fries. we will be back. We had such a great experience at Fun Buns! They were able to accommodate our large party without any issues, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The food was delicious and fresh--even with our big group. A huge bonus was the game room for the kids, which kept them entertained and happy while the adults enjoyed their meals. Wonderful service. Kids loved the French fries. Tried a very unique peanut butter and jelly burger and it was phenomenal. The second time we got the cheesesteak and the pulled pork burger. Again both fantastic choices. Can't wait to go back and try more! read more
