She was careless with that electric file and just about went through my nail bed. I am still waiting for the dents and thin nails to grow out, so thin I can't even file them. I went here only once for a bridal party nail get together for my best friends wedding. They were extrwmely unprepared and very rude once we called them out on the fact that there were 6 of us and one of them. They got another person to help, and he did my nails first. He held my fingers as if he wanted to break them and was extremely rough. Rough enough that he cut me deep enough to make me jump. He apologized and followed the cut by putting a hot burning liquid to stop the bleeding. Now my ring fingers have little scabs by the cuticle. Very disappointing. I go to Van. She is in high request from her clients and super adorable. She does a perfect job each time. Sometimes I've had to cheat on her by seeing other nail techs because she can get busy but I always have to go back to her to have her fix other shop's mistakes. But she does so with no issue. This nail salon is a little bit better than red nail across the street but I still would not recommend for the simple fact that they are rude to there customers regarding tips. 1. Tips are not mandatory and the amount a customer leaves is at their discretion. A month or so ago I took myself and a friend for a pedi for me and a mani/ pedi for my friend as a gift. My total was $49.00 and I left a $10.00 tip (20 percent) the manicurist came to me and told me my tip was too low, and said this in front of a salon full of customers. I was embarrassed and mortified. I was fuming and to not cry from embarrassment I handed her an additional $6.00 I had in cash! (that's a 39 percent tip) And to add insult to injury she tells me in the future she doesn't accept credit card tips! REALLY! why so she doesn't have to claim the tip on her taxes. These employees have some nerve and I know they believe in karma...so Fulton Nails don't be shocked when the IRS audits your business and possibly some employees...you humiliated the wrong well connected lady! And FYI...$8.00 for nail art on two nails is outrageous!! (most salons charge $5.00 and under.) This salon might have competitive prices on most of their services...but this is only because they expect a 50% or more tip! I checked online and the U.S. norm for gratuity for nail salons is between 15% to 18% on total bill for services. Fulton Nails you are running a business in the United States of America...please teach your staff to be respectful of American service industry business standards and if by chance I am in your native country needing a mani/pedi, I will respect your native country's tipping standards. read more

I, like many people, do not like to give bad reviews. But as a consumer, I feel like I have to warn others about businesses who take advantage of paying customers. Being semi-new to the area, I decided to try Fulton Nails after having a not-so-great experience at Red Nail across the street. All I wanted was a simple manicure before a work event. If I had known what that would entail, I NEVER would have came here. I was the first customer in the door, and the woman who helped me was nice at first. I asked if I could pay before having the color put on, in hopes of not ruining it. The manicures are only $10, so I left a nice tip of $4 in hopes that she would be appreciative and do a good job...WRONG. She stopped talking to me immediately after I payed, did a lousy paint job, and stuck me in the drying machine and never returned. The worst part: Before my manicure, the woman who was doing my nails asked me to take off my watch and bracelet. I dropped them into the open middle section of my purse so that I wouldn't leave them. (Plus it's the only section I could get to easily-- all the others had buttons and zippers). When she moved me to the dryer station, she followed me and brought my purse over-- at the time, I thought this was considerate and helpful. I left the salon after being told my nails were dry-- they weren't. When I arrived at my work event a half an hour later, I turned my purse inside out looking for my watch and bracelet...I opened every pocket and dumped out everything-- nothing. So I hauled myself back to the salon, frantic, and was greeted with nothing but hostility and rudeness from the staff at Fulton Nails. Now, I understand that no one likes to be accused, and especially not in front of customers. But I do not like to be lied to or taken advantage of. I told the girls who were there to go through my purse-- they clearly didn't believe that I had looked hard enough...was it the tears running down my cheeks that gave it away? None of them could seem to find either pieces. Amazingly enough, the woman who did my nails finally came out from hiding and magically found my watch while she was going through one of the buttoned up side pockets, underneath a bunch of receipts. Right-- four other people couldn't manage to find it and it just happened to be the one. I don't think so. People, DO NOT bring your business here. The spa pedicure is great! Maybe I've been lucky every time but I always am pampered and relaxed.

I've been here several times, but the more recent trips have not gone well. They are usually busy, which seems like a good thing, but basically they rush through your mani or pedi to get to the next customer. A day later my nails were chipped, as the tech hadn't applied the topcoat over the entire nail (hello???), and when I went back to have them fixed, they were snotty about it and acted put out that I wanted them fixed for an event I had them done for in the first place. Just left. I came with my friend to get gels who swears by this place, and I came with her because she raves about this place. I had the worst experience. I had a guy who did my nails. He was rough, and he made me bleed. He just went along as though nothing had happened. He rushed through the entire process, and even was so rough with my fingers while buffing them that he cracked my knuckle. The cuticle that he made bleed is red and swollen. My friend and I who started our nails at the exact time was just getting her first coat of clear polish down by the time I was getting the finishing oil... He completely rushed the process like a total jackass. By the time my friend was done, he was already halfway done with yet another customer who was filling her acrylics and getting a change in color. I cannot recommend this place. Save yourself a lot of pain and a couple dollars and go elsewhere. read more

This place used to be great, but has went downhill big time in the customer service department. The nails were always nice but when the owner started embarrassing clients in front of others, I decided not to come back. Tips aren't mandatory, but apparently they feel they are at this establishment. It's supposed to be a relaxing environment, not hostile. Walk on over to the Red Nail Spa across the street. They sterilize their implements, and majority of the manicurists originally worked at Fulton Nails. It's a much cleaner and is a happier environment for sure. read more

I have to say that Van does an amazing job with your nails.. But after being a consumer for 2 years she out of no where told me "I don't think you like the work I do on your nails... Sooo could you please not come back after today"? That was a year ago & I'm still in shock from the way she asked me not to come back after 2 YEARS of being with her!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is awful. I came here because my usual place was closed and I desperately needed a fill. My nails were thick on one side, thin on the other. On one side my nails were slanted inward, the other side was straight. How she painted my nails, it looked grown out at least a week. I was not happy at all, and when I asked for my money back, the manager said the only way to refund me was to take my nails completely off, then started arguing and told me she wasn't gonna refund my money. What a joke!! I'm a hairstylist, so I know how important customer service is, this place has none!!! Also this place is so filthy it's disgusting. I'm giving Fulton Nails 5 stars because it is perfect for a weekly mani/pedi. Even their basic pedicure has an amazing massage and everything is done quick quick quick, exactly how i like it! I get my nails done often and all I want to do is space out, read a magazine, and drink my coffee. I do not want to have a conversation or be stuck waiting forever. They do get pretty busy so I try to go early or call ahead for an appt if I think they might be busy. Also think they have the best color selection, price, and long-lasting shellac manis around. I have tried a couple of times to go to fulton nails and have been disappointed constantly. I tried to give them chance after chance and I never walk away satisfied. Some of the women that work here are not the friendliest and I had one occasion where the women made me bleed while doing my nails, and it started to hurt and she wiped over it with her fingers to wipe the blood from the cut she made... and I'm not one to complain about my nails being done but that is not ok. I understand mistakes happen and the clipper slips and you cut someone, but to not acknowledge it or ask if their ok or wash it off and put a towel over it, but she just wiped it with her fingers and after that I never went back. Stopped in tonight for some pre-New Years Eve nail care. Had a pedicure and my nails re-shellacked. Was having my nails shellacked in Windsor and a friend mentioned that she was going to Fulton Nails for shellack and paying $10 less than I was. She said they Fulton Nails were nice, clean, quick, and efficient. I found Fulton nails to be all of those things. They were hopping busy tonight and making sure to get everyone in quickly. Greeting regulars by name and being social and chatty with their clients. I liked the vibe and I liked saving some money. I paid by credit but made sure to tip in cash. I noticed a reviewer complain that they had been asked to tip in cash and they were appalled by this practice. I have been asked by my previous nail salon and by a hair dresser to tip in cash before, no biggie. As someone who waited tables back in the day...I understand the IRS game with tips. The IRS will average your tips from credit cards for you to pay taxes on...which isn't fair since people are more generous tipping with credit cards then cash. If you aren't familiar with shellack...you should become so. It is a painting process for real nails were the polish is guaranteed to stay on for at least 2 weeks without any chipping. I had mine re-done today after 3.5 weeks and I had only one chip where I had actually broken the nail by dropping something on it. I am HARD on my nails and swear by this product! read more

I have been coming here for 5-6 years. I love Fulton Nails. I get my nails done with Shellac by Van and she does my eyebrows. I have never had a problem, and if I don't like something they instantly fix it. She is always friendly. The down side to this business is that they are often busy and its hard to get full attention sometimes. I have had to wait during my manicure for her to do other things. Its fine with me normally but sometimes I have places to go and cant wait around. read more

There's a male that does nails that sits in the back that is VERY RUDE AND ROUGH. Without fail, he cuts me with the sander or nail file EVERY single time and today was no exception. My nail beds (4 of them) are red and sore from him sanding the actual skin plus he used filthy, rusty nail clippers on me. Van does a great job. She is kind and she does great work. Will never go to this place again. A friend and I went to get pedicures. That was the fastest one we've ever had (maybe 20 minutes) and it was awful. Her guy kept getting distracted and then filed her toe instead of her nail. He didn't say anything to her the whole time. Completely unfriendly. Mine was only a little better - but not by much. I was referred to Fulton Nails about a year ago from a friend and have been a customer ever since. There's a large selection of regular nail polish as well as shellac. Your mani/pedis will last for quite a while and they also do designs freehand. Anything from tiger stripes, polka dots, leopard print, etc. They do get busy so an appointment is highly recommended. I try to go in early morning during the week for a more relaxing feel. Weekends are very hectic there and I feel that they don't do as good of a job as they would on a slow weekday. Overall though, they do an awesome job! I'm always complimented on my mani/pedi's and have converted quite a few people to this nail salon as well. read more

I've been a customer of this salon for over 5 years. I recommend Van, Lisa, Kim or Triu for shellac and pedicure. They are always busy so it's best to call in advance as they won't ordinarily turn you away at the door but you can wait for a long time if they're backed up and you come in as a walk-in. In fact once I was left soaking my feet for almost an hour and nearly left. But that is the exception, not the rule, and I haven't found a place in the area that does as good of a job or one where my nails last as long. Also I've damaged nails a day or two after being in and they have been happy to make the repair no charge. They're always friendly and professional. I've gone elsewhere but always end up back at Fulton Nails. read more

I came here a few times, hoping my experiences would improve but I was totally wrong and filled with regret. The guy, not sure his name, works WAY too quickly and doesn't do a good job. He puts in a small amount of effort because my nail isn't covered all the way and he goes really rough. Last time I went, my friend and I called in the morning for an appointment for two fills. We got there at the exact time the appointment was, and it took us an hour to actually be seen. Isn't the whole point of appointment is so you don't have to wait, or am I wrong? Vann is fantastic, but I never get the chance to have her do my nails, just the guy does them. I'm never going back. read more

i had a terrible experience today. i asked for gel fill and pedicure. i was told it would take about 1.25 hours and it took over 2. the girl burned my finger with the grinding machine. i asked for the color "book" that has darker sparkly polish twice but she gave me those floppy things and the color turned out way too light. she also started clipping my nails without asking me if I wanted my nails shorter! i told her she should have asked me first. she said she could add a tip, but I try to avoid them, so my nails are too short. at the end, I spoke to the owner for a discount (I have been going here for years and this is my first complaint) - the services were $40 each, so $80 total, and she only offered a $10 discount! i said it was not enough. she said she could not afford more as she pays the girl $30 per hour! are they really paying twice the minimum wage (plus tips) to their employees? i would think. it! that's between $80,000-$90,000 per year if you include tips! i know nurses who work for less! i am so unhappy. they are losing a lot more than $10 because they are losing a good customer. the girl's name is Mica. try to avoid her or avoid the place alto because they don't care about their customer. read more

I just had my worst experience at this place. My mom and i came in here for pedicures with an appointment and waited 25 min to be seen. They sat us in chairs and soaked our feet in luke warm water which quickly turned cold. I sat at the chair in cold water waiting for almost 25. No one was around. All the technicians were in the back eating lunch. if you're running a business that is open all day long, breaks should be staggered. All in all this place is always busy and I don't even think they're that impressive. I will not be back. read more

Got my nails done by a lady who had no idea what she was doing. My nails lifted in 3 days. But charged me 48 dollars for a fill. i went back to get them fixed and the owner said she knew that lady didnt know what she was doing but needed people. Lol. And she charged me 25 dollars to fix the slopy mess. Then 2 days later my nails broke and the owner said they are to busy to fix it. Just bad service... often will wait 20-30 minutes for your service to begin AFTER being seated. This last gel manicure I was cut twice with no acknowledgement from the manicurist until she sprayed my nails with alcohol, then she splashed on a blue liquid that burned even worse. I went here to get a basic manicure last week because it was recommended by a friend. I was helped right away and the staff was very friendly but unfortunately I wasn't happy with the finished product. The polish was uneven at the cuticle and my nails were filed into an odd shape. When I took my polish off the next day (it was so bad I couldn't stand to look at it any longer) I noticed that they were scratched as if someone had filed them down with sand paper. I've gotten plenty of manicures before and have never been this unsatisfied. Needless to say I won't be going back. The friend who recommended this salon to me gets gel nails and is very happy with them so if that's what your looking for maybe you will have better luck. I made an appt for earlier today and when I walked in they were very busy. I had 2 different people do my nails and they ended up terrible. I got a full new set French tips and they kept on letting other customers walk in instead of saying they didn't have time. This made them rush doing mine and the white tips do not match up w my nail line, the acrylic is way to thick and she didn't have them dry long enough so a bunch of dirt is stuck to the top. The lady did not listen when I told her what shape I wanted and just rushed to do whatever she thought I was saying but did not listen. There is also glue left all under my nails on my fingers. This is not the first time I've gone here and they have done a bad job. Not coming back. read more

I've never had a problem with the outcome of their work, they always shape my acrylics exactly the way I want them. The only way I'd say they can improve is to be a little more personable with customers, but I can understand that can be hard with a language barrier. read more
