I've only had one below the belt hair removal/wax and it was traumatizing to say the least BUT I have many friends who have been telling me about sugaring with Tatum and how gentle and beneficial it is. I finally took the plunge and it was the best experience I could have asked for. The salon itself is adorable and I was immediately greeted and offered refreshments. I went to Tatum for brazilian sugaring after a year of growing out the bush. When I last had sugaring done elsewhere, it was just too painful and unpleasant. I was expecting about the same amount of pain this time, since I thought that's how brazilian sugaring is supposed to be. However, Tatum is so well-trained that at times, I felt nothing. I can't say it was 100% painless, but I felt almost no pain majority of the time. Not only is she skilled at what she does, but she's also super personable and easy to talk to. I have been getting sugared for alittle over a year now and just today I went to see tatum at aloha sugar! Being a younger hetero male client, it can be somewhat of a nervous position to be in when laying there completely naked for a Brazilian sugaring, but Tatum was by far the best experience I've ever had. Her sweet and calming demeanor from the moment I walked in had me completely relaxed the entire time, even while she ripped the hair out of my most sensitive areas lol. It wasn't in the least bit painful at all thanks to her skill and technique, and this is where you can tell her experience really shines through in her craft. Even with her calm and friendly demeanor, you can also tell she's a very humble yet rad chick, just the type of person anyone can relate to, which makes for natural, easy conversation to distract from the task at hand. I've honestly never had such a comforting or positive experience with a Brazilian sugaring. Even the spray tan that I got for my upcoming vacation from her was absolutely on point. Not blotchy, not too orange or too dark, and not uncomfortable at all. She really understood everything I was looking for and hit the mail on the head!
