    Fullhouse Cafe

Full House is one of the eateries in the Vee Quiva Casino. Whenever I want to be close to that ancient astronomical calendar, Sierra Estrella, be comfortable, and eat a meal with my family, Full House is my #1 choice. Especially when it's 115 in the shade. April 25, 2024 we crossed the wall of fractal casino sound, crossing the Fullhouse threshold. We were swarmed by lovely smiles. We were seated, orders for drinks and food taken and had a pleasant dining experience. They have a breakfast buffet. Eaten by, in my personal financial case, Jackpot!! Winners! We enjoy the giant flapjacks, the eggs just so and the steaming coffee.

We were seated quickly. The restaurant was practically empty. Sort of sad considering it's in a casino (Vee Quiva). Food is good. Always is. We were served right away. My potatoes came wrong but they fixed the problem right away that was nice. My eggs were perfect. Server was nice and attentive.

My wife and I came in for our anniversary last week. We had very low expectations after reading the reviews whist deciding what to order. Took a chance on this place and we are pleasantly pleased. I felt it was a great value and delicious!

We decided to have breakfast here before our checkout after a two day staycation. Familiar with this hotel and casino, this restaurant recently has a name change and renovation, so we thought I'd be worth checking out again. It took around 5 minutes for our table to be ready but unfortunately, the wait to take our order and also to receive our food was very long. I'm not sure if they were short staffed that morning, but we could overhear a woman at a nearby table jokingly comment to their waiter on how slow the service was, and boy was she telling the truth. I ordered the chorizo omelette that morning. It was decent, nothing to rave about but the wait times sort of tarnished this restaurants experience that morning. After waiting so long, I was looking forward more to checking out than our food arriving. Hopefully they get into the swing of things, especially if they have a breakfast rush.

What a great experience! We had visited Mimi Forno shortly after they opened in 2018. Life got in…read morethe way and we didn't return until April of 2026. Even without reservations we were seated immediately. Water and menus were on the table in the blink of an eye. Our server, Josephina, was quick to take both drink and appetizer orders. I ordered some bread, not immediately realizing the difference, and should have ordered the focaccia. The martini that my wife ordered was, in her words, perfect. The Caesar Salad was the best I've had in quite a while. Just incredibly fresh greens, great dressing, grated cheese, and tasty croutons. I could have made a meal just from that. My wife ordered the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli and I had the Lasagna Bolognese. Neither is an unusually elegant dish but both were prepared perfectly. The house Chianti was so enjoyable that we ordered a bottle and enjoyed it throughout the meal. To finish off the experience we had an order of cannolis and they were delicious. Thanks to Josephina for such a great evening and we will be back to try the "Bottle & Bruschetta" they feature on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I felt like the texture of the gnocchi was amazing and I enjoyed the thickness of it. The pesto sauce was also great and my favorite parts had the bits of nuts in it. The shrimp arrabiata was good too with nonfishy seafood and not too spicy. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce but I wish we got a few more. There is a happy hour Monday through Friday from 3-5pm but there isn't much advertisement about it online or in-store. The happy hour menu is pretty small but includes the Shrimp Arrabiata (1/2lb or full lb), Cheese Pizza, Margherita Pizza, $2 off cocktails, and a few more items I forgot to take a picture of!! Our server was a friendly man with dark hair and an accent. He was super nice but we noticed that it would take us a long time to get something we needed, like the check. In his defense, we were chit chatting for a while and probably didn't look like we needed help or service. No hate, he was very kind with good intentions. The restaurant itself was cute and a little bit smaller, making it harder to walkin if it was a busier night. Overall great food and nice staff. If you're looking for authentic Italian, come here!

This place is now my favorite spot for Tom Kha Gai! I got mine "Thai hot" and it did not disappoint! Perfect if you can handle spice like that. The cherry on top was that my picky eating toddlers loved this place too!! They ate the Thai nuggets, vegetable fried rice, and Thai vegetable chow mein. My compliments to the chefs! With the southern portion of the 202, new places are springing up left and right. Thai Chili 2go is one of the many offsprings off Baseline and the 202. I had a hankering for some Thai food for lunch and did not have the time to go to my spot in central Phoenix. Looking on my Yelp APP for Thai selections in my area, I found TC2GO. I am glad my time restrains caused me to find a new place! For my first time I went with a safe option. I ordered veggie fried rice with fried tofu. It was AMAZING! Driving back to my desk was a test of my willpower of not pulling off the side of 202 and devouring this fried rice that had such an enticing aroma. Do not worry, I made it back to my desk. I walked past my office without any chit-chat as if I was a zombie and plopped down to eat this rice, OMG! I will make this a regular rotation for lunch when I'm in office. The beauty of TC2GO is that it is as its namesake, a to-go place. They have a small dining area and a small patio as well. If you're ordering in person, they have two kiosks to order from or you can do it online or via their APP. I gotta be honest, I was very perplexed by this method of ordering Thai food. Not in a sense of the technology, but rather not having a server sizing you up and you trying to justify the heat level you selected for your plate! :-) I smashed my fried rice before any thought of taking pics came to mind. I will post some food pics on my next visit.
