Horrible experience that started out so great! Ray was very nice, came to my house for an estimate and seemed like he knew what he was doing. Also, he has five stars here on yelp so I thought it was a no brainer. Even though he was a few hundred bucks more than a couple other estimates I got I decided to go with him. Big mistake! The carpet in the living room is next to tile. That should be no big deal, I thought. Well after three attempts to affix the carpet to the floor and keep it from lifting I have given up on Ray being able to fix the issue. Now I have spent a bunch of money and the carpet will just need to be replaced. I am very unhappy with the result and would warn anyone looking to have carpet done to look elsewhere. read more

My dad discovered a "leak" from what seemed to be the toilet, he proceeded to fix it, when he discovered that the leak had ruined the wood flooring underneath the bathroom vinyl. Ray should stick to flooring and everything would be fine. He did a bathroom for us that ended in disaster. The shower had a slow leak that took a long time to show up in the adjacent room. By then the damage was done. I called Ray and his response was his work is only guaranteed for 12 months per state law. He had no care for our problem. When our new contractor tore out the shower Ray had installed we were shocked at how poorly the job had been done. Anyone with a remote understanding of construction would understand that he has no idea what he is doing in this area. I am most disappointed in the fact that he could care less about our troubles directly caused by his work and not stand by his workmanship. It looks beautiful and my wife is very happy :) Couple of things that bothered me was that few items were added to the the bill after the work was finished. It was for work that was necessary, but being informed ahead would have been nice since it was unbudgeted/unexpected expense for us. Also, there were some nails sticking out from the base moldings that were replaced as part of the same job. We have 2 small kids, and it was sticking out enough to be a safety concern. Not a big deal. I can just hammer them in. Just bothered me that it was overlooked and finished that way when he knew that we had kids who will be stepping on them. I don't think I could say enough good about Fullerton flooring in this very short analysis. Ray knows his business and knows how to please customers and he always goes way beyond what is required or expected. As an example we had difficulty selecting a new flooring for our home and he went out of his way to bring us samples and even took us to a wholesaler or we eventually found the flooring we wanted. His pricing is reasonable and he doesn't throw in a bunch of extra costs which I really appreciated. More than halfway through our flooring project we decided we wanted to also put plank flooring in our master bedroom and Ray reacted quickly and was able to accomplish that in the same week that we started the original project. We had waterproof vinyl floors put in our entire home. I love, love, love the floors. Tony and Ed did a good job on the floors. We also had new 5" high baseboards put in. Those I was not thrilled about, I felt even though the walls are not plum or straight they could have taken a little more care in placing them. We will now have to pay someone else to make them look good, by caulking, putty and painting the nail holes and baseboard joints. That being said I'm still happy with the job that was done. Ray came out, made some suggestions, and provided me with a very reasonable repair and refinish quote. His worker, Robert, actually did all the sanding, staining and varnishing over the course of 4 days. The floors look absolutely beautiful! Ray and his team did a fantastic job on our wood floor refinishing project. The floors in our new home were damaged and stained from years of neglect. The previous owners also had two different wood floors (similar grain) in adjoining rooms that we weren't thrilled about. Ray recommended a darker stain to cover since the damage was still visible after sanding and to best match the two floors. After the stain went down the difference was night and day. I called Ray with a very tricky problem - our contractors had removed a couple of laminate floorboards from the middle of our hallway for a big construction job and couldn't put them back in. I had to find new floorboards but quickly realized that the model was discontinued and I couldn't find any laminate flooring that matched. Ray found a really creative solution - he removed floorboards from the back of a closet (where no one can see the floor anyway) and installed those in my hallway.
