Horrible experience that started out so great! Ray was very nice, came to my house for an estimate and seemed like he knew what he was doing. Also, he has five stars here on yelp so I thought it was a no brainer. Even though he was a few hundred bucks more than a couple other estimates I got I decided to go with him. Big mistake! The carpet in the living room is next to tile. That should be no big deal, I thought. Well after three attempts to affix the carpet to the floor and keep it from lifting I have given up on Ray being able to fix the issue. Now I have spent a bunch of money and the carpet will just need to be replaced. I am very unhappy with the result and would warn anyone looking to have carpet done to look elsewhere. read more

Fullerton Flooring - Flooring Near Me

Fullerton Flooring did an outstanding job refinishing our oak floors. We have 25 year old oak floors in our kitchen, family room and dinning room. They were looking shabby, and we were thinking of replacing them with laminate. Ray came out and gave us an estimate to refinish our oak floors instead of replacing them. We agreed on the refinish, and we're glad we did. Ray and Robert sanded down the oak floors, restained them to a slightly different color, and then put on two coats of finish. They look better than new. I can't believe how fantastic they look. Ray was extremely pleasant to work with, as was his helper Robert. They showed up on time each day and completed the work in three days, always being respectful of our home and belongings. Ray and his team exceeded my expectations in how they managed the project and in the results. I can't imagine better results or better people to work with. Thanks Ray. read more

Fullerton Flooring - Our beautiful new (refurbished) floor. - Flooring Near Me

Fullerton Flooring did an amazing job replacing our old carpet, tile, and linoleum with beautiful new wood laminate flooring and porcelain tile. The results are incredible!! It completely transformed and updated our home. Their craftsmanship, quality of work, and attention to detail is amazing! Ray was such a pleasure to work with. He is very thoughtful and considerate. He helped guide us through the entire process, and ensured the project moved along efficiently and expediently. The project was completed within the timeframe originally quoted. With a limited budget, we only planned to do the downstairs, but Ray's pricing was so competitive, we were able to do the entire house (upstairs and downstairs). We are very pleased with our experience with Ray and Fullerton Flooring! read more

I am glad my real estate agent referred me to Ray. Him and his team just installed my carpet the other day and I am very satisfied. Not only the quality was good but the turnaround time was efficient. Ray is a genuinely nice person and provided excellent service. Thank you and I hope to work with you in the future. read more

We've had these guys do 2 different jobs for us. Both came out great. In the first job, they sanded, stained and recovered our homes original (1958 era) wood floors. The second job was more challenging as they replaced a tiled entryway and matched the previously stained floors. I know where the difference is, but I know hardly anyone else could ever tell. read more

I got lucky and was referred to Fullerton Flooring by a friend right before I was planning on remodeling about 1200 square feet of my floors. Fullerton Flooring has very fair pricing for excellent quality work. My wife and I are extremely happy with how everything turned out. Our flooring job included a carpeted stair runner to make it safer for the kids and new baseboards/crown molding. This job literally transformed my house. Ray, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was to our satisfaction. He worked with us on our crazy schedule and got the job done when we needed it. He treated my house as if it was his and he fixed my garage door entrance step as well as some other small things that he could help with. He is a very nice guy that really takes pride in his work. I can't recommend Fullerton Flooring enough! Thank you Ray! read more

Fullerton Flooring exceeded our expectations they went above and beyond to help us find a solution to our bathroom nightmare. My dad discovered a "leak" from what seemed to be the toilet, he proceeded to fix it, when he discovered that the leak had ruined the wood flooring underneath the bathroom vinyl. My dad is a very good handy man but he realized this was far beyond his capacity and that's when he decided to call in the professionals. We had three different flooring companies come out to quote the project, they were okay with replacing the vinyl floor but they did not seem to know what to do with the damage floor underneath. When Ray showed up he knew just what to do he explained in a very detailed matter what needed to be done and the material that would be needed to fix and beautify the floor. Ray also suggested that we go out and check out a flooring project he was currently working do we could get an idea of the quality Of work and services Fullerton Flooring provides. We did just that and found out that his team is very professional and diligent in what they do. They got started on the job, did just as he said and finished within 6 hours, they cleaned up very nicely and our bathroom looks great, he worked within our budget and was honest about his work. I would strongly recommend that you give them call for all your flooring needs. read more

Ray is THE BEST . Very caring and personable . . Finished my work ahead of schedule. Would highly recommend them. .

Ray should stick to flooring and everything would be fine. He did a bathroom for us that ended in disaster. The shower had a slow leak that took a long time to show up in the adjacent room. By then the damage was done. I called Ray and his response was his work is only guaranteed for 12 months per state law. He had no care for our problem. When our new contractor tore out the shower Ray had installed we were shocked at how poorly the job had been done. Anyone with a remote understanding of construction would understand that he has no idea what he is doing in this area. I am most disappointed in the fact that he could care less about our troubles directly caused by his work and not stand by his workmanship. If something goes wrong with your job you will be on your own from our experience with Ray. read more

Ray was very professional. We hired him to install the wood floors in the kitchen and ended up having him install all the cabinetry and countertops as well. He did a terrific job and stayed within our budget and time line even with the Covid-19 situation. I would highly recommend him for any flooring or remodeling work. read more

Refinished our wood floors and the floors turned out awesome. It looks beautiful and my wife is very happy :) Couple of things that bothered me was that few items were added to the the bill after the work was finished. It was for work that was necessary, but being informed ahead would have been nice since it was unbudgeted/unexpected expense for us. Also, there were some nails sticking out from the base moldings that were replaced as part of the same job. We have 2 small kids, and it was sticking out enough to be a safety concern. Not a big deal. I can just hammer them in. Just bothered me that it was overlooked and finished that way when he knew that we had kids who will be stepping on them. Dirtiness in pictures are from other construction, not from the floor job. Pros: great looking floors. Cons: rough finish on non-floor items. read more

I don't think I could say enough good about Fullerton flooring in this very short analysis. Ray knows his business and knows how to please customers and he always goes way beyond what is required or expected. As an example we had difficulty selecting a new flooring for our home and he went out of his way to bring us samples and even took us to a wholesaler or we eventually found the flooring we wanted. His pricing is reasonable and he doesn't throw in a bunch of extra costs which I really appreciated. More than halfway through our flooring project we decided we wanted to also put plank flooring in our master bedroom and Ray reacted quickly and was able to accomplish that in the same week that we started the original project. The workmanship is superb and I did not find any flaws whatsoever. I highly recommend Fullerton flooring. read more

Saved me $2000.00 in minutes. Two other floor companies told me I needed new floors, then I spoke with Royce and Reza, two very honest guys. They said I can use the existing floor just need sanding, stain coats ans finish coats. Those guys were right on, the floors look brand new and saved a ton of money. Also the sales lady Cindy is first class. Thanks Fullerton Flooring! read more

Stairs: Carpet to Engineered Hand-scraped Hardwood Price: Very good! Quality: Excellent Customer Service: Excellent Owner's Mindset: Earnest, humble, hardworking, hungry, honest, passionate Time to completion: under promise over deliver This review has been way overdue. Ray and his team at Fullerton Flooring is hands down amazing. I called and spoke to many flooring specialists near the Orange County area and Ray was the only responsive person to take initiative. I received quotes from many, but no one wanted the business. I own several businesses and have been in sales for many years. The attributes of staying hungry and humble goes a long way. Initially I thought that the pricing was fair, but once looking at the work & time that actually goes into laying down hardwood for stairs is no joke. What impressed me the most was the flexibility of staff that worked around my schedule. They quoted 3-4 days for the entire project and had it completed in 2 days (full days). Amazing quality! I ended up giving the difference that I negotiated as a tip to the worker which ended up being still a great deal. I always believed in treating people right and paying for quality. I'll never pay a $1 more for something I know I don't have to, but I also give way more than asked when I know they deserve it. If you're considering a flooring vendor give Ray a call and he will personally come out to give you a fair quote. *Ray if you read this, I thank you again for the great work. Ray from Fullerton Flooring is a great guy. He came to our house at least 4 times to show us different samples of flooring until we were able to finally pick something we thought we'd like. Before the flooring was done we changed a bit of our ideas - and Ray flowed with it and made it happen. The crew from Fullerton Flooring was polite, clean and efficient. Our floors look great now. They were quick. We had them do 1200 sqft. They were in on Saturday and out on Tuesday. Highly recommended - and we found them on Yelp as well. read more

We could not be happier. We found these guys on Yelp after OC Dustfree had left our floors looking awful. The great job Fullerton flooring did convinced us to join Yelp and leave a review. Fullerton Flooring's service was quick and amazing. They are very familiar with the flooring in the area and had the boards which were needed for repairs to our floor in stock, since the floor we have is the same floor that most of the houses in Fullerton built in the mid 1950's have. We couldn't be happier, these guys did a great job with minimal supervision (we were actually on vacation while they did the work), even going the extra mile and installing some 1/4 round trim in rooms where we had carpet removed because they knew it would look much better and would be something we would want. Take a look a at the photos we have uploaded, they really tell the whole story. Our floors went from awful to amazing! Thanks Fullerton Flooring! read more

My mom Zoe and I recently had our floors and bathrooms done with Fullerton Flooring. We cannot recommend them more! They were so professional and hard working. They communicated very clearly with us about how long everything would take and what to expect. They pay attention to the small details to make sure that you are 100% satisfied with their work. We will definitely use them in the future for any house improvements, and we recommend them to all of our friends as well! read more

I can't imagine better service or quality from any other flooring company. Fullerton Flooring is your best option for flooring in SoCal; I cannot speak enough on their superb efficiency and quality, regardless of the project size. After jaded experiences with big and small name businesses, I thought the standard of flooring was - in the least - a song and dance of making you feel special with bogus "calls to the manager" for price reduction or last minute specials, or at worst, very poor workmanship that has left us needing two different floor repairs. Ray not only provided me the best - and unbelievable - estimate when compared to two other companies, his personal attention to our home and family proved incomparable. With just days till Christmas and the unexpected early delivery of our newborn, Ray took it upon himself to ensure that he provided us the best option for our finances and our family needs. With his friendly and compassionate style of service, Ray worked around our schedule despite a busy workload himself. Although a very small project, he treated us as if we were his highest paying client revealing his respect for his work and the people he serves. Completely replacing our floors due to serious water damage, Ray and his team took charge of every aspect of the project, even taking out our trash and cleaning a few areas of our patio that, while unrelated to the flooring, he knew we needed given the demands of our new baby. I highly recommend Ray and am fully confident you'll walk away feeling you got the best in quality and service. Everyone that has visited our home have voiced their positive impression of our new floors, and we recommend Ray and Fullerton Flooring every time. read more

If you are looking for someone to do your next flooring job, your search can end right here with Fullerton Flooring. We wanted to get rid of the carpet in our great room and go with wood, so we started getting estimates from various contractors. One contractor told us that the 60 year wood floor under the carpet could not be refinished. They just wanted to sell us new hardwood. On the scene comes Fullerton Flooring who said that it could be done and it will be beautiful. Well let me tell you, it turned out absolutely gorgeous and looks like a brand new floor. We also had a bathroom with 30 year old + wallpaper and vinyl flooring. Fullerton Flooring installed new porcelain tile, removed the wall paper, and painted this bathroom. This bathroom now has an updated look/feel while retaining the retro character...I love the old pink sinks. This look is coming back in newer homes. Ray the owner walked us through each step to make sure that we got what we wanted. Throughout the entire project, he was hands on. They do exceptional work, and take their time to do it correctly. We have additional projects that need to be done, and when we are ready we will use no one else but Fullerton Flooring. read more

I contacted Ray after reading reviews on yelp. He came right away to give us an estimate and completed the job within matter of couple days. Ray and his crew work with professional manner. My family didn't speak English too well, but despite that, Ray brought samples and pictures to demonstrate and to show how it will look like after the job gets completed. Despite the language barrier, Ray was patient and went extra miles to meet the satisfaction of his client. We are enjoying our new laminated wood floor in 2nd floor and enjoying the tile in our first floor. His team was proficient and fast, exactly what we looked for. Thank you Ray!! read more

Fullerton Flooring is fantastic. Ray was a pleasure to work with. You can trust he will do an amazing job and adhere to time and budget. He has impeccable workmanship and takes pride in the quality and aesthetic of each project. We previously had flooring replaced in the front of our house by another company, but were very disappointed in the results. We hired Ray to put the same wood flooring in the remaining bedrooms. There is a marked difference between the two projects. Ray pays much closer attention to detail, listens to the preferences of the homeowners, and creates a beautiful product. You can count on Ray and Fullerton Flooring to get the job done right. read more

We had waterproof vinyl floors put in our entire home. I love, love, love the floors. Tony and Ed did a good job on the floors. We also had new 5" high baseboards put in. Those I was not thrilled about, I felt even though the walls are not plum or straight they could have taken a little more care in placing them. We will now have to pay someone else to make them look good, by caulking, putty and painting the nail holes and baseboard joints. That being said I'm still happy with the job that was done. I've seen much worse work by builders. Tony was very professional. read more

I found Fullerton Flooring here on Yelp and I am so thrilled that I did! I have 500+ square feet of original red oak flooring in a 60 year old home, that were looking quite sad. Ray came out, made some suggestions, and provided me with a very reasonable repair and refinish quote. His worker, Robert, actually did all the sanding, staining and varnishing over the course of 4 days. The floors look absolutely beautiful! Robert was very conscientious, arrived on time each day, cleaned up each evening and did a meticulous job! He helped me select a slightly different stain color, by bringing 3 quart size cans of different stains, and we both agreed on which one would look the best. He and Ray also were very helpful in moving my extremely heavy dining table in and out of the house! It was quite a challenge for the two men! I highly recommend Fullerton Flooring for any of your floor needs. You will not be disappointed! read more

I needed to replace a very small part of my laminate flooring. When I called other companies in the area, either they did not return my message or simply pushed me away with some excuse (I assume because my job request was too small). However, not Ray. Ray at Fullerton Flooring picked up my call on the first ring and was so professional. Although my request was a small job, he still treated me as if I was an important customer. He left my house with the job done, the place clean, and me happy. I honestly could have not expected a better service. He is so honest, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend Ray at Fullerton Flooring! read more

Ray and his team did a fantastic job on our wood floor refinishing project. The floors in our new home were damaged and stained from years of neglect. The previous owners also had two different wood floors (similar grain) in adjoining rooms that we weren't thrilled about. Ray recommended a darker stain to cover since the damage was still visible after sanding and to best match the two floors. After the stain went down the difference was night and day. The floors look great! We saved money by refinishing over replacing and we are very happy with our choice. There were a couple spots we didn't like after the job was done and someone was out right away to fix them. Ray also replaced the baseboards in our entire house and the change is really amazing. Always professional and happy to help. We love working with Fullerton Flooring and we will definitely call them for our next project! Thanks Ray!! read more

Great job and very happy with the work. Competitive quote, professional and also, finished when they said they would and didn't stop halfway through and have to come back 2 weeks later like I have experienced in the past. Ray (owner) and Fullerton Flooring came highly recommended by a realtor friend of mine. She always knows the very best people to use for anything related to the home. Ray and his team did a great job removing all our old carpeting and installing laminate flooring in our entire house. From the original appointment we felt very comfortable with Ray. The work was done in a timely manner and the price was very fair. Ray even included beautiful new baseboards in his price and was still much less than the estimate we received from the larger home stores. Additionally, he had a positive approach to solving all of the issues our older house presented. The floors are beautiful. Thanks Ray!! read more

Ray and his team are great! They put a beautiful acacia hardwood floor and installed a subfloor in a large room in our house. He doesn't give you a hardsell, you helped us get exactly what we wanted. He communicated with us often, keeping us up-to-date on what was happening. They worked in a timely manner, and were very neat in their clean-up. When we replace the carpet in our bedrooms in the future, FF is who we will call. I feel like I didn't just get a flooring/carpet guy for life, I felt like I made a friend. I called Ray with a very tricky problem - our contractors had removed a couple of laminate floorboards from the middle of our hallway for a big construction job and couldn't put them back in. I had to find new floorboards but quickly realized that the model was discontinued and I couldn't find any laminate flooring that matched. Ray found a really creative solution - he removed floorboards from the back of a closet (where no one can see the floor anyway) and installed those in my hallway. He then put in a similar model in my closet. Both spaces looked great! Ray was really responsive and scheduled me in within a week of me calling him, as he knew I was anxious to get all the flooring done. He was professional, on time, and got the job done perfectly. I would definitely hire him and Fullerton Flooring again. read more
