We simply decided to begin pre-marital counseling because we valued talk therapy and figured it could only be healthy. Little did we know how many communication breakdowns we would be empowered to identify and improve week-after-week. The laughter and tears and happiness and anger which we are free and safe to express with Aysha -- and use to become closer to one another -- is priceless. Aysha has become a crucial part of our relationship. We regularly walk away from our sessions with so much to talk about and in a great place to share our feelings even better than before. And through our weeks, we consistently recall her counseling and refer to her insight. She is truly adept at listening to us and understanding us, but most important, she's helped us better listen and understand each other. I would recommend her to any couple in any level of satisfaction. She's helped us grieve through loss and celebrate each other alike.

I like her so much that I've navigated and fought through a myriad of insurance issues, including having to suck up and pay out-of-pocket for services. Aysha has been so wonderful and understanding through it all, and of course has continued to help me sort out all kinds of long and short-term issues that have prompted me to see therapy. She has flexible hours (LOVE Saturday appointment availability) and is very responsive to emails and phone calls/texts. In short, I would recommend her (and Simply Counseling) without reservation. Oh, have I mentioned that I'm a mental health professional myself? :)

I realized most of these things they could just have had me fill out before my sessions started instead of using my money to go over tests available online. My coach was not at all prepared to speak with me when our sessions started. The sessions ended up me helping her catch up on what she had missed. I thought regardless, she must have some ideas of what path I could take and could lay out a plan via email to help me through. No, she said I would have a hard time finding a job (even though it's literally her job to help me find one!). My last session in what I'd pre-paid for ended up being ignored. After asking around to a few other career coaches on LinkedIn, one of them actually gave me some free advice on next steps to take and said I'd been scammed. It's all about marketing yourself, and she suggested some fields where my specific skills could be really valuable. ALV said they would offer my last session to someone more suited to me, but my question was, why wasn't this person offered to me in the first place? Isn't it their job to pair you with someone who is professional and understands your skillset? I asked them if they would address any of the wasted sessions that didn't help me at all, maybe in the form of sessions through this better career coach. They said no, and said it was my fault for not knowing that I had a bad mentor. I was really upset. They said it's not typical of them to issue refunds, but they'd refund for my last session if I didn't want to use it. Really a complete waste, and they are indeed very expensive. They do not go the extra mile for their clients.

All of these positive changes have led my life to take a new direction, one that I chose for myself. Alisha has allowed me to take on a new perspective and realize my potential power, and how I can create a new reality. This definitely did not happen over night but surprisingly, very quickly. I am sure this may be different for everyone and what they are striving to accomplish. What I can honestly say is that she takes the time to genuinely get to know who you are as a person, what is important to you, and what you hope to achieve in life. After our first session, I knew I made the right decision in meeting with her. Given her background, it became clear how knowledgeable she was on various life topics and offered me solid, immediate steps I could take to acknowledge what was important for me at that moment. I feel she takes on a very personalized approach, which allowed me to feel very comfortable and open with her right away. Of course I felt more motivated, and driven but in addition - she truly listens to you and cares about your wellbeing! She is able to view things in a different perspective and offer concrete solutions or action steps. Another aspect I admire is her relaxed, not rigid style of coaching, yet very professional at the same time. Everything is tailored to whatever is convenient to you. If you are thinking to hire a life coach/mentor/advisor/friend/and a genuine soul who is passionate about your goals, and helping you create a life you love...I would not hesitate one second to reach out to Alisha!
