I heard about Lisa through Groupon. I seeked out a deep tissue massage and it was great. She was very attentive about the amount of pressure she used. The massage was very relaxing and I was very confident in her abilities. She uses aromatherapy scents which made the massage very comfortable. She also uses hot stones and a heating pad. Overall, I was very happy with the service I received and am very thankful. I would not hesitate to recommend her, in fact, I'll probably have my husband see her for a deep tissue massage as well in the future. There is amply parking so no worries about street parking. Hold the phone, this is some serious good massage. I have chronic pain, and massage really helps mobilize certain joints and overall just make me feel better. Lisa heard me out in terms of objectives, did a fantastic job, especially with regards to pressure, and paid special attention to my problem areas. But wait, there's more! She busted out a hot stone and warm towels because heat helps relax the muscles and overall just feels great. In summary: Money well spent. read more

WOW is all I can say about this woman! I found Lisa through Groupon while searching for an affordable massage option on the North side of the city. I had no trouble at all booking the massage and was able to get in pretty quickly. I love that Lisa uses a holistic approach to healing, both during her massages and within her Life Coaching sessions. During the massage, she used high quality essential oils to help calm my body and mind. Throughout the entire massage, she also made sure I was very comfortable, but without talking too much (haha). Her office is very conveniently located in the West Rogers Park neighborhood and has a decent sized parking lot. I finished my massage and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to inquire about the other services I had seen on her website. It detailed that along with being a masseuse, Lisa also bears the title of "Life Coach." I had never heard of this term before I met her and wanted to see what it was all about. Since there was a pack of 4 sessions available on Groupon at the time, Lisa offered me the same price to come in and try the coaching. Her rates are very affordable either way! I am about to finish up my last session of life coaching and have to say that it has really helped me jump start a much needed change in my life! Lisa understands struggle and has been in all of our shoes before. You can tell her ANYTHING and not feel embarrassed or worried that she will judge you. After finally spilling the beans to her about what was really standing in my way, l was able to really free myself. She offered wonderful techniques, literature, and audio/visual references to help me understand why I felt certain ways and how I could rise up and become better. Lisa really cares about her clients. She is not what I would expect a "normal" therapist to be like. There is only good vibes in the room. To get started..the location is great and easy parking in a parking lot! so it just starts stress free. I woke to neck, shoulder, and back pains every day. I accepted pain, tension, and soreness as a given, and it was debilitating to the point where I often felt lethargic and unwilling to move. As someone who had yet to turn 30, this was not a good thing! With every massage I received from Lisa, my body became more and more relaxed. I felt a genuine loosening in my body that has allowed me to breathe better, improved my range of motion, and largely eliminated the physical discomforts I had on a daily basis. Having received many massages through the years, it's only through having Lisa as my massage therapist that I received not only instant relief but have seen a true transformation in my body's function. In her massages, Lisa has an incredible ability to work out problem areas while creating a deeply relaxing atmosphere that helps one let go of tension. What further sets Lisa apart is her attentiveness, caring approach, and genuine interest in her clients' well-being. She always takes time before the massage to understand my problems, checks in multiple times during the massage, and has a conversation with me afterwards about how I am feeling and to discuss what would be helpful moving forward. This is possible because Lisa doesn't book appointments back to back and sets aside ample time before and after the massage to listen to her clients. It's just crazy because despite how much time and attention Lisa sets aside for her clients and how amazing she is as a therapist, her rates are much lower than other places and represents a superb value that makes getting massages regularly affordable for many. The massages were helping me immensely physically, but emotionally, I was still stressed out about my job, about working long hours, about wanting to do everything perfectly, about constantly worrying over people and the outcomes of my projects. Throughout my life, I have always thought that working hard till I have nothing left to give is the way to success and to being happy. But in reality, I got to a point where I wasn't enjoying what I was doing anymore and wondered at times what I was doing with my life, despite any success I may have been having. Having seen from Lisa's website that she is also a certified life coach, I told her about the problems I have been having in my life and with some hesitancy, decided to give coaching a shot. As people, our inclination often is to think that admitting we have issues is weakness, and that getting help means we are pathetic. Neither of these things are true. In our busy lives, we could all use help to live better, be less stressed, and be more joyful. She has great technique and the therapy sessions have been extremely effective in resolving my neck and back pain. Her location is convenient and parking is free.
