I now look at my life a lot differently after talking with him so many times. I am sad he moved away, but I am happy for him, and I am so glad I put in many hours of hard work with Michael. One of the things that sticks with me from our sessions is his gentle prodding to get me to understand and describe how I physically feel when talking about upsetting or uplifting emotional feelings. Where do I feel it? How does it feel. The words "bad" or "good" just weren't descriptive enough, and he encouraged me to more fully process my feelings. I really enjoyed this new take on therapy and it worked well for me in understanding my own feelings and telling others how I feel. This approach greatly improved my ability to communicate with people that are important to me. The tools I gained while working with him are priceless. It wasn't always easy, but I learned the most during the hard times. He was forever willing to give me and my wife another chance to connect emotionally and encouraged us to slow down and be open for each other. He is a talented therapist, and I have a feeling he helped a lot of other couples connect and communicate better than they ever had before.

From the first time we met, I felt very comfortable with Michael. Being newer to his profession, I was a little hesitant but my fears were unfounded and I would recommend him to anyone who really needs to slow down, and someone who is ready to get into some deeper work. Michael Glavin is a true resource. It's unfortunate that he is moving, and I wish him all the best. Anyone who's looking for a very centered, caring person, would be very comfortable with his skill set. I can't imagine how much more effective he will be as be develops his practice. Sincerely, RL

I felt horrible and not like myself. My mood got worse and so did my symptoms. I started having nightmares every night and couldn't sleep. At one point they couldn't handle my symptoms anymore and transferred me to northwestern memorial hospital where I left with a lot of trauma due to my experience. Not only did pathlight not listen to my concerns but they also made sure that the er would keep me there by using things I said during my therapy and completely twisted my words so I had to go inpatient. After fives day of inpatient I discharged myself from pathlight as I am better of at home then in that environment. Also The new medication they put me on caused me to get pneumonia a very rare side effect. When I called to ask for help from the person who PRESCRIBED it they said they couldn't do anything since I discharged. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I left feeling worse and with new trauma. I would stay away if your not the "average depression or anxiety case."

When asked for options, the same repetitive aversive answers are given to try to beat you into following regulations at any and all cost even if its detrimental to treatment. Threats and incredibly low information about the individuals treatment (as an ADULT) were commonplace and all (yes all) staff had no answers to simple program questions and requests for higher ups or people who CAN answer your questions are thrown out the window. Please stay away for your own good
