So, I reached out to my accountant friend who reached out to her bro who suggested this place! Of course I went to them -- they're Vietnamese and close! I called, made an appointment (they're open 7 days a week!) and it took me less than one hour to finish up my taxes. What a relief. The person who signs off on all the paperwork is Mr. Huynh. He has front-end staff that inputs the information and then he goes over it with you. Huynh gave me some tips regarding my retirement investments and after shuffling around some $$, I shaved off $1300 -- that's $80 well spent in my book! I normally do my own taxes, but if I have another year with more documents than usual, I am coming back here! I'm pretty sure their clientele is mainly Vietnamese but why would that stop you from coming here? LOL.

I reached out to this company to consider hiring for my taxes. My previous CPA and I had become…read moregood friends over the years, and he never had a problem with doing my taxes, quickly and efficiently! However, unfortunately he passed away. I'm a senior so have been doing self employment taxes for many decades. Never, and I do mean NEVER have I encountered (as I also see some reviews say here), such TOTAL RUDENESS and lack of caring or ability to treat a potential client with courtesy, unprofessional behavior, and just general incompetence as with this firm! It may just be that I made an appointment with the senior/owner, who stated up front that he'd be retiring soon.... I was early for the appointment, but then waited for 45 minutes AFTER the appointment time, with no apology, and then almost an hour of going over "how I'd done everything incorrectly," with nothing short of berating me, and how he wanted it done, diagramed for me (which was fine, but then he didn't want me to take notes saying that he'd give me the diagram, only to FORGET to give me the diagram!), and he didn't seem to know how to even make a copy of the few documents that needed to be sent w/ returns, so he just kept the originals... I would have made copies ahead, but my printer was malfunctioning, and we are talking less than 10 pages of W2's,etc.. Went home feeling like "Man! Does this guy have early dementia w/ temper issues, or what?" After I worked for several hours back home to "re-organize" what was always easy for my other CPAs to use, I sent to him, only to receive yet further ridicule from "Larry" who after waiting almost 2 weeks to get back to me, then said when I finally called to find out "if he received or had any questions" that he'd "had thousands of clients and not one had ever questioned or had trouble following his directions!" He then got really angry and said that he "didn't think we were a good match and he would not be able to prepare my taxes!" So, if you go with this firm, I hope that the younger son or daughter in the firm (Larry's kids), will be able to treat you with courtesy and competence. Larry definitely needs to retire. To the extreme that I copied my letter back to him to his son, hoping that perhaps he'd take over for a potential new and easy to work with client.... I'm guessing they walk on eggshells around their dad. Sad, but not the way to run a successful firm!

Basically and simply greedy and wanting to do the least amount of work possible to get their paycheck. I literally had never used a CPA before ​and expressed this before coming into office. I was promised I would be taken care of, informed through the ​process and I can tell you, I was basically "taken" advantage of. I met Brandon (whose​ initials are a ​representation of the office) and tried to ask him questions during our less than​ 5-minute​ meeting that was rushed. From the get-go​, the documents I was told to have prepared for the meeting were insufficient and Brandon requested more items. Which was fine but remember I am new to utilizing a CPA and relying on Brandon's office to help me prior to our meeting, which was simply emailed me a form of documents to bring which I had, but obviously the doc they sent was not updated. Next was just the overall customer experience... During my 5 minutes, ​Brandon maybe said 5 words, "hmmm", "oh" and "nodded" at the docs I did bring in. Literally still no explanation of anything, from what I need to do from the customer side of things...this continued throughout the rest of experience I encountered for this meeting and the duration of​ months I worked with the office. I never directly spoke with Brandon again, just got sent on my way and told to bring more documents. I should have cut ties immediately and took my service elsewhere but I just thought, maybe I just drop docs off and that's how a CPA works. Far from the truth as you are paying them to advise and work with you on your taxes... Advise from a professional standpoint better than me using FREE to $50 TurboTax​. Hence, why you hear​ people say I can't advise on that, it's recommended you get a "tax professional". I tried to ask to come in the ​office to figure out what was actually going on ​if I was actually doing what I needed, and had questions and was deflected through email over and over again and did not feel any value as a client. "...Therefore, we are not responsible. Please take your business elsewhere." The last sentence written in an email to an error I literally figured would be minuscule ended our relationship. Please don't always believe the website of a company, as BKM has great marketing, not customer service. She lost my taxes the day before the filing date, missed my appointment, and then said she had to stay up all night doing them the day before (why didn't she do them before that?
