I am having to sue this company for significant damage to my house. Find another company, please. the problem was straight forward-a sink that was not draining. They first applied Thrift to my sink-then upon leaving my house they dripped the Thrift liquid across my cabinets, hardwood floors, flagstone floors, decking. They double charged me until I noticed it on the invoice and on three different occasions during a bathroom remodel they cost me weeks delay because I had an appointment scheduled and complete no shows. **CUSTOMER ADVISORY** If you're considering hiring Full Stack Plumbing, a word of advice: DO NOT sign their Acknowledgement Paragraph or their Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement! If my experience is their standard practice, you'll be presented with those forms on an iPad for signature, after the work is done and with no advance time to read the documents or determine whether the work actually was satisfactorily completed. For most plumbing work, and particularly work on a sewer line (as in my situation), there's no way to know at that moment whether the work was properly and satisfactorily completed. Until there's been a chance to use the plumbing, any unresolved problems will be undiscovered. The Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement is particularly overreaching. It purports to be a waiver of ALL claims against Full Stack and its employees for ANY damage, loss or injury caused by ANYTHING they did, including as a result of their gross negligence. It also says it's a waiver of the right to bring any claim or lawsuit or seek any damages for any loss caused by Full Stack. So, according to their form, they could act in a grossly negligent manner, or intentionally cause damage, and they'd claim they're not responsible. I've dealt with a lot of contractors and contractor waivers over the years, and this is the most overreaching form I've seen. If you're dissatisfied with Full Stack's work (as I was), and later try to reach a settlement, they'll point to their documents and say they have no obligation to resolve the situation. When you tell them you'll dispute a charge with your credit card company (a consumer's right under federal credit policies), they'll threaten to sue you. Apparently, their "waiver" of the right to bring legal claims only goes one way. Full Stack came twice to clear a root ball in our main sewer line using hydrojetting equipment (they said their root cutting equipment was broken), but failed to eliminate the roots. After their first visit, they failed to properly re-connect a sewer cleanout, resulting in a sewage spill in the forest. They charged an exorbitant amount for those two visits, without providing any estimate in advance, just a total presented at the end (their explanation for the high charge was that hydrojetting equipmenet is expensive). I then called Roto-Rooter, which was able to quickly remove the roots from the sewer line, and its bill was 1/3 the amount Full Stack charged. There are plenty of plumbing options to choose from. If you decide to hire Full Stack, don't sign their overreaching and questionable documents! read more

Called on Friday morning of Memorial Day weekend, 2021, with a totally plugged bathroom washbowl and a sluggish kitchen drain. They were willing to come the same day (many were not). The 2 young men not only fixed both in record time, but showed us how to do it ourselves if it occurred later on. My only complaint was that they didn't offer to wear masks if we requested. When I spoke to the initial technician I stressed that I did not need or want the best solution to the problem of my leaking water heater. I wanted the least expensive. I lease the building and my tenure in the space is coming to an end. We agreed that I did not need as big as the current unit & that an inexpensive 20 gallon unit would be fine for my needs. A different technician arrived to install. I had students in the building and did not pay attention...my bad. 2 1/2 hours later I was told all was finished and presented with a $1700 invoice. The unit was even bigger than the original one and I immediately complained that it was not what we had agreed upon. The technician became loud demanding to be paid. I handed over my credit card as I did not want a scene in front of students. I later talked with the office manager in an attempt to understand what had gone wrong & to complain that about the behavior of the technician. The invoice was not itemized. I asked for the breakdown to better understand what I had paid for in terms of cost of unit, labor, etc. I was told that was not possible. read more

The technician did not follow our instructions as to what we needed done. They told us they didn't do the drain type we were using and would connect to it later. When we installed the drain, a pipe needed to be cut. When they came to reinstall the pipe, they said didn't have the part needed and left with no communication with us. It was early enough in the day that they could've gotten the part. Now they are walking away or pushing us out two weeks when the inspector is scheduled next week. There are other alternatives in the area, use them. The owner likes to reply to these reviews and talk about how great they are and how they are committed to only doing things to code. This is my response to that: While the update certainly reads well from a marketing perspective, the bottom line is that this company took a full price check and delivered part time results. On top of this their inability to communicate with their customer correctly and be fully prepared for their work, would have pushed us back more if not for other options we have found. And unlike the insinuation in the owners update, their was nothing that was requested that wouldn't meet code, simply a company full of themselves and falling well short of expectations. Look elsewhere ladies and gentlemen there are many other options that will finish the work without delay or communication breakdowns. read more

I cannot say enough good things about these guys! I had a tub/shower faucet that would shut off when I turned on the Hot water. I had previously had another local plumber (who is highly rated) come to fix this. He made two house calls to work on this, had me order parts from the manufacturer, charged me hundreds of dollars, AND NEVER FIGURED OUT WHAT WAS WRONG! Then Full Stack came to the rescue ! Terrible experience with full stack. Make sure you read the fine print on their estimates - they include a clause that allows them to up charge if other issues are found, which is understandable...however, a minor issue was found with the pipe replacement job they did for me, and they charged me an additional $500 without communicating a word to be beforehand or during the job. They wouldn't work with me at all to drop the charges, considering it was a complete surprise with the zero communication for the additional charges. They told me to read the fine print on their quotes and gave me the green light to write a poor review because they could care less about their customer experience or satisfaction. read more

I'd give these guys 6 stars if I could. Here's why. I discovered a leak in the water supply line to my house at 1230 pm on Saturday 7/25/2020. I got ahold of Full Stack Plumbing at 1245 pm. I'd never heard of them, but CW said he could get to me by 3:30 pm. He and his partner arrived at 3:20 pm and had my problem resolved by 4:45 pm. The fee was extremely reasonable, especially considering that it was a Saturday. The issue turned out to be a failure in a previous repair -- one done by a well-known Raleigh plumbing and heating company. CW cleaned up the previous work and upgraded the repair with stainless steel hose barbs, replacing the previous cheap plastic. He had me inspect the repair before he re-buried the water supply line to make sure sure that I was satisfied. The Full Stack team was very professional throughout-- texting me to let me know their ETA and also texting a diagram of a Raleigh water hookup. Despite the heat and an unexpected thunderstorm they were cheerful and competent throughout. read more

I had a main sewer line backup on a Thursday night and not only did they come and do an excellent job, but the technician, Curry, was VERY knowledgeable about sewer issues and had me fixed up within 30 minutes for a really reasonable price. I property manage and have had a few decades experience with main sewer lines and it really is an art to work on them properly without damaging them. Curry is a hero! I bumped into him at Lowes and he could tell I was clueless, asked what I was looking for and when I told him, he said that does not sound right and asked what I was trying to do. I told him I had a friend helping me to replace a kitchen sink, I showed him a picture, he called my friend got the details, picked out the things I needed and told me to go buy them.
