The customer service here is phenomenal! I needed service done on my spa and found The Better Pool…read moreGuy through a yelp search. I requested a quote through yelp and Beth responded promptly with great information. From there I was able to communicate with her via text to collect more information and set up the service. For me this was a great method to communicate as I spend a lot of my days in meetings/conference calls so a quick text to communicate was great. Since this was for a vacation home, it made things a little bit more complicated, but Beth went above and beyond to explain things to me and try to find a way to get the service done before I arrived for a visit. Even though it likely would have been easier to just arrange for the service when I was there, Beth actually said to me that she'd like to have it ready for my use instead of having to wait a week. I really appreciated that. There also was a some confusion with me receiving the write-up/pictures after the service, but again, a quick text and Beth was super responsive. She explained they had just switched to a new system and were still learning the ropes but went out of her way to make sure I got the information I needed. I also received a follow-up email with further explanation making sure I had the information. Overall, I was really impressed with the level of customer service here. It would have been very easy to just brush me off, but multiple times they went out of their way to help me. I highly recommend them!

If you're looking for a pool service company to solve your pool needs and problems, DON'T contact…read morePooltek Pool Services, unless you're ok paying up front for an assessment with no solution. The first red flag should have been that they required a $95 payment before even scheduling a tech to come out. And even after making the online payment, I had to reach out to them to confirm receipt and prod them to send out a technician. In short, my pool pump stopped drawing water effectively. I was stumped after checking the PCV joints, O-rings, the impeller, and having backwashed my line. The first tech spent all but 12-15 minutes on site to say he didn't know what was wrong but suspected a clog in the line. He said he didn't have the equipment on hand (the equipment being a $12 bladder kit I picked up at Ace Hardware later that same day -- something any pool tech should carry with them). After I tested the line for a clog with the bladder kit, water appeared to be flowing just fine. After several unanswered phone calls to PoolTek, I requested another tech come out. I told a man named Robert (presumably a manager I can't recall, that I had never had a pool repair company come out to my place and not leave with a fix or a solution. A second tech came out and after about 25-30 minutes, he also concluded there was a clog. So, that's when I contacted Dr. Pool Leak Detection to have them pressure-test the line for a clog/ leak ($300 more dollars out of pocket). While I thought it a bit pricey, the tech who came out was very thorough and gave me the results I expected -- NO leak and NO clog. He also pointed out a steady drip of water from under the pump, which I overlooked beforehand. I decided to purchase a pool pump seal repair kit for about $35 and disassembled the pump. Sure enough, I saw worn and broken seals/gaskets. I replaced them, reassembled the pump, and am happy to report it's working perfectly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING POOLTEK POOL SERVICES - unless you like throwing away money and being gaslit.
