I'm a big fan of convenience. If you can combine convenience with a great service then you have a…read moregreat place. I feel that is what I found at O'Reilly. And their commercial has a catchy song. Good luck getting that out of my head now that I said it. Anyhow I needed to get some new wipers for my car as my current wipers were not working as good as they used to. I also needed to get some cleaning supplies to clean the interior of my car. In the past I have usually picked up these supplies at any number of big box stores. Then I thought to myself, there is an O'Reilly close to my office, I should check them out. I stopped in one morning and was greeted as I walked in and asked if I needed any help. I explained that I was looking for some wipers and some cleaning supplies. The gentleman walked out to help me and asked if the wipers were for my Toyota. While I was surprised, I was equally impressed that he recognized the type of car I had when I pulled up. I usually like to get Rain-x wipers. They are more expensive but work much better. The good news is I noticed they had a sale going on for $8.00 off a set of wipers. The bad news is they were out of a number of sizes including the size I needed. Without hesitation this gentleman offered me a different set that he explained were as good if not better than the Rain-x. While I thought for a quick moment he proceeded to tell me he would match the sale price for these other wipers. Sold! That's a great deal! He then showed me their cleaning supplies and what he recommended. This was about as good of an experience as you can have. From my receipt the gentleman that helped me is named Mike. I'll definitely be back to O'Reilly whenever I need anything for my car.

Yesterday I was at the store in Eagan around 645 and the employee behind the counter really said…read moresomethings that were so unprofessional. He was cussing and tell another customer that he hates being there and that the rest of the staff is s... and told the customer ahead in line that he is a father that doesn't get to see his kids so the father should make sure he takes care of those little bastards!! The worst part is it was in front of those children. He then.proceeded to try to tell me that he hates working there and is trying to get speedway in trouble and that the store manager and assistant manager are both s... employees and he wants to run the store. This made me feel very uncomfortable because I come to this speedway atleast 3 times a week and have interacted with both Robyn the store manager and Vee the assistant and have seen and heard how they treat the employees and customers and that is why I continue to come back to speedway but, if an employee can call children bastards to their parents face and it's ok. I don't need to come back to this speedway. This is not a good employee. On other occasions he has been cussing people out saying very inflammatory things in relation to Somalis. It didn't help that the gentleman yesterday was Somali. Never have i seen such disrespect and this employee Jose will single handedly cause the downfall of this location. Best regards, A regular at this speedway.

Last month, I did my usual road trip from the Twin Cities down to northern Iowa. It tends to be a…read morecombination of stopping in my old neighbourhood of Rochester for a bite to eat before heading down to Elma, IA to visit my friend at the cemetery. Sometimes, I stop again in Rochester before heading back. I don't believe that I did on this trip because the winds were gusty and I wanted warmth. I can do this entire day trip on a tank of gas with the right vehicle. With a rented Jeep, I hit Roseville on my way back to the hotel and the low-gas indicator came on. My usual gas station is the BP in Eagan. When you are about to roll in to a gas station with an almost empty tank and realize that the gas station has been demolished, that sinking, sick, empty stomach feeling is never good. Both my empty tank and stomach weren't expecting my go-to gas station to be gone. I can't tell whether it will resurrect itself as a better BP for if it's gone for good. Luckily, I did remember this Speedway roughly a block away. I rolled into that one. I love Speedway as much as BP. Why? As a Canadian, I can use my Canadian credit card at the gas pump and not have to deal with entering a ZIP code. I don't have one. Many gas pumps to cater to American credit cards. This one is Canadian-friendly. Yay! I was pleased to fuel my rental car. What a relief! This gas station was bright at around 8 pm. It was clean at and around the pump. No complains here. This Speedway does have a convenience store. I didn't need to enter the store, but it's good to know that it's there if I need snacks and drinks. I need to do some research on whether Speedway has an app. I know that it has a rewards program. I may need to sign up for it. This gas station is open 24 hours a day. It's comforting and cool. I may have found my new go-to station. (463)
