I got two rolls from this place, unfortunately I don't remember the names exactly but one was crazy tuna (boring) and the other was the Honolulu roll (Amazing). One roll was just plain, and flavorless to be honest. It was just meh, I was upset over the cost of it since it was so underwhelming. The second roll however was simply amazing. It was sweet and spicy, all the flavors mixed perfectly together. I was overly impressed by the roll and honestly couldn't believe they came from the same place. Everyone at the restaurant was very friendly. I got my order to go, while waiting at the bar I was given a glass of water which I didn't even have to ask for. Decided to stop in at this place coming from out of town after reading the reviews. I have to say that when I arrived it was a ghost town which should of been an indication that something isn't right. We went in and it was empty and a little dark. This place got great reviews so quite naturally I wanted to try it out. I ordered unagi, mixed tempura, And a Dragon Roll. The food was good. The roll needed improvement. It was loosely wrapped and much of the sushi roll fell apart (even before I added soy sauce). The tempura was fresh, fried well, not overly greasy. I enjoyed the different types of veggies they used. I use to rate this place 4 stars because their hibachi is actually really good. If you go for hibachi I think you will be happy. Their regular sushi though over 70% of their roles are spicy! So be aware of that? My biggest disappointment was my last visit. I ordered Chicken Katsu. I thought that this place's Chicken Katsu was made incredibly incorrect but this was NOT the case. This was my mistake and I apologize for being so upset. However, now that I have a better understanding, I believe what the issue was, was that the photograph on the menu of Chicken Katsu is not of Chicken Katsu but rather a photo of Chicken Karaage and the description to me read like Chicken Karaage and I was expecting something like Chicken Karaage like the photo to come out and when it did not come out like I was expecting I was severly disappointed. Mainly because I've been to places that have blown my mind with how good their Chiken Karaage is. So to be totally fair I think I would amend my rating to be 3.5 stars. read more

I've always wanted to try this place and I finally came around. It's definitely family oriented big group small groups or even a date type restaurant. Me and my wife ordered a cosmo and pink lemonade, the server was a guy I believe his name was "Ted" he was okay not the greatest service but he knows how to make an amazing cosmo so I give him a thumbs up for the cosmo it was delicious. The prices are honestly amazing for everything you get a lot of hibachi places give you little to none for a arm and leg, you get soup, salad, shrimp, rice, and noodles with your order. So you get your moneys worth that's for sure. Our chef was amazing he interacted with our daughter gave my girl extra scoop for our little girl. The one thing that set this place apart from all the hibachi places I've been to is the seasoning and sauces they put on your meats giving it a lot of flavor, I saw the chef add butter to steak, sauces to the fish and shrimp, and seasonings. It made the meats more delicious, other hibachi style places don't give you any you just get a bland of good quality meat. Overall delicious food, great entertainment, they even do a crazy bday celebration for your bday. This place is a definite go! Was quoted 38-48 minutes, but I couldn't have been waiting more than maybe 20 minutes. Ordered the sashimi and nigiri lunch combo again, and this time requested no tako since it's not my favorite. Beautifully cut sashimi, very well proportioned tuna roll and nigiri. My only slight non-complaint is that I wish they'd put a little dab of wasabi between the fish and rice. Nbd, I did this myself as they provide plenty of wasabi on the side. But it's just another step. I could see customers having complained about that in the past so not the biggest issue. read more

I went there last night for the first time in awhile and I was so disappointed! We were eating on the sushi side. I had to wait for my friends, so I sat at the bar and was never asked if I wanted a drink. When my friends came, we were seated. I ordered tea and it was brought out in a paper cup with a tea bag hanging out of it. I ordered chirashi and the serving was skimpy. The fish was ok. The pickles were inedible, and the rice was not sushi rice. My friend's bento box looked good. The ramen ordered by my other friend was reported to be good, though I noted the egg was hard boiled and not a ramen egg. Something else weird was that utensils and napkins were brought out in a basket and it wasn't clear that's what they were. The place was also loud, even though we weren't in the hibachi side. The worst thing was the restrooms. The plumbing wasn't working right and it smelled like it needed to be cleaned. Worse, the smell emanated into part of the dining room. My gf and I have been regulars for two years and this place used to be our favorite sushi place, but sadly after tonight we've had enough. We understand that food is not always perfect, and mistakes happen, but this felt like a robbery. When I ordered the Tonkatsu Don the lady told me that it didn't come with soup and salad, only soup... I asked if she could substitute for a salad instead and she catered to my request, however the menu says it comes with soup AND salad??? Then after I ordered and paid and looked at the receipt, I found out that the prices on the menu were false. Everything we ordered was a few dollars more expensive than advertised. Putting all these aside, we were still excited to fill our sushi cravings, but what we found was a salad with NO DRESSING??? So we're supposed to eat it plain??? Then my dragon roll that's supposed to have "unagi or eel" didn't even have any... just cucumbers, avocado, rice and unagi sauce! Finally my Tonkatsu Don looked like a piece of fried bread instead of chicken and tasted rubbery and bland. I would've gladly came back for a refund, but of course they were already closed by the time we got home. So for anyone looking to fill their sushi cravings, please use this review as a fair warning... you're better off buying sushi from Walgreens or Safeway. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Sushi was okay, but everything else was massively overpriced. Teriyaki my husband got was a little bland, but overall fine. Just not worth what they were charging. Would I have cared if the service was better and the restaurant wasn't kinda disgusting? No. But the place was filthy, the bathroom was a biohazard, and we had to ask for chopsticks. I usually give places the benefit of the doubt, and since we are living in a post-pandemic world I'm willing to give grace, but it really seems like management is willing to let this place rot--and you can tell by looking at it that this place was not being well kept pre-March 2020 as well. It's a shame coz as I said all of the sushi that my friends and I got was pretty good, as was the miso soup. Dinned in on the hibachi side. My servir was Erik. Had to ask for everything twice and then at checked out i was charged less then wat i provided in cash. Called back and spoke with Erik, per Erik he did nothing wrong and got transferred to the manager. Well, I do not know when we will be back. The last couple times we had bad waitstaff but good chef. This time we had okay waitstaff but bad chef. This was on a Friday and last time we came on a Wednesday. The chef was the youngest I've seen and just trying to do things too fast. I do not like their teriyaki sauce drenched noodles. I do enjoy their fried rice, so there has never been a problem with getting double rice instead of rice and noodles. The chef repeated my order to me with the double rice, and what do I get but rice and noodles. I have a major problem with undercooked and overcooked items. First of all undercooked shrimp is a definite no-no. I ended up boxing mine up and cooking it at home. I had tried to put a shrimp back on the grill to cook so I could enjoy my dinner, but the chef tried to put it back on my plate even though I said it was undercooked. Everyone else at their shrimp, and my friend even said his shrimp was slightly raw in the center but he was so hungry that he just ate it. When the centers of the shrimp are still gray and not opaque there is a major problem. My lovely filet was overcooked. Some pieces were cut too small, which made them cook faster and made it tough. It wasn't tender anymore. The vegetables that come with the dinner. They were not even uniform, so some cooked faster than others but as soon as those smaller pieces were cooked the chef served. So I got a lot of raw zucchini. Whoever prepped the veggies did a terrible job. read more

This is my absolute favorite restaurant! When we moved from here to GA, I always talked about how much I missed this place. As soon as we moved back I came straight here! We always sit at the hibachi grill. When the chef first arrives to the table, they have a squirt bottle full of Sake and they'll offer to all of the adults some Sake, and the delivery method of this Sake is to squirt it through the air into your mouth and the stream will continue for as long as you can continue, it's a very fun way to start of the dining experience. Everything else they do while they're cooking depends on the chef themselves, but it's always entertaining, and they've always been good with kids. I get sushi every time I'm there and it's always amazing. I highly recommend this place to everyone. read more
