Omg! We ordered hibachi takeout. Halfway through the meal my daughter noticed something that looked different. It turned out to be a spider. Yes a spider! We freaked out and called them only to be told that since it was a takeout that we couldn't get our money back but credit. That isn't the point we said ! She is pregnant and is worried that something she ate could affect her pregnancy. OMG! The health department needs to be called and out there to see what is going on in that kitchen. Fuji Grill is interactive dinner theater for adventurous extroverts. If swilling a stream of saki from the chef's squirt bottle appeals to you, then this place is for you. You will be continually prodded by the very talented and engaging chef to hold your mouth open like a trained circus seal so he can sling bits of food at you. Just know that he doesn't always hit his target, and two ladies at our table were left shaking broccoli bits from their bras. I didn't understand his instructions as he dangled a noodle in front of my husband and me but finally I deciphered that he was saying "Lady And The Tramp". Not going there, not today! The old adage about being hungry an hour after eating Japanese food applies here. I opted not to eat 6 cups of fried rice with my 4 oz of steak and scallops, so that was totally my fault. A friend took me here for my birthday after I told her I liked sushi and it was a lovely experience start to finish! I loved the quaint seating area against the window that was like being in your own private Japanese booth. Nevaeh was our server and she was SO attentive, warm, and accommodating. She was one of top 3 servers I've ever had wait on me in my entire life. We ordered delivery on the first night of our cross-country trip while staying at a hotel in Hamburg. We were exhausted from the drive and completion of packing that morning. Without a lot of options we picked Fuji Grill because of its high rating. 10/10 would recommend for delivery! I can't speak to their dining experience, but their food was AMAZING. We LOVE Fuji Grill II! They are so welcoming and the food is always delicious. We have gotten sushi that we've loved. We've also gotten hibachi that we've loved. We always start with the onion soup. Some people call this mushroom soup or clear soup but at Fugi, it's onion soup and it's sooooo good. It is pretty much this flavorful broth with just a few super thin mushroom slices and some crunchy onions. It's the perfect way to start and evening of Asian food. We have tried some of the special rolls and they have all been winners. My favorite is the dinosaur egg! It's not in the menu and may just be a special, but maybe just ask for it.. my husbands favorite is the angry bird roll which is actually a hot roll. It's very good. My friend took me here for some sushi. I've been here few times actually. For sushi and hibachi. They have some unique sushi selections. I opt for dancing dream roll. It's a spicy scallops and crunch with yellowtail, salmon and tobiko. My friend opt for spicy tuna. They are very good, though to me they are not spicy at all. We are also order gyoza and shumai. I love the gyoza. I didn't do the shumai because it has shrimp and I'm sensitive to shrimp. Lastly we ordered mochi green tea ice cream. I really love mochi ice cream. I like gooey mochi and combine with ice cream inside it's just simply the best. Though the food is good and all, my favorite sushi place is still Ichiban. I'll be honest this was a super weird experience. I am not even quite sure what happened at our dinner the other night. I feel like I walked in and entered the twilight zone. We usually have an annual winter getaway to an all inclusive resort and get our hibachi fix there. Due to covid we haven't really been traveling so we thought why not get some hibachi locally? Let me start by clarifying the breakdown of this review. -The food- 4 stars- we ordered the chicken and shrimp steak and scallop hibachi dinners. The food was good with the exception of the shrimp. Most of our tables shrimp was a little fishy and the texture was off. The scallops were fresh but needed a better sear to have been perfect. The rest of the food is good and what you would hope for. Portions were generous and flavorful. -The chef- 4 stars. He was talented and knew some fun tricks. Overall he was a good cook and wasn't responsible for the funky shrimp. He was a little snarky though, made several rude comments to the table. When he was playfully trying to throw zucchini into everyone's mouth he did angrily shoot a piece at my shirt. Glad it didn't leave a stain. He didn't do it to anyone else and it didn't feel playful. He had very good aim so I'm sure it wasn't an accident. He also had a water bottle that had a topper of a boy peeing. He squirted it into a little girls mouth. We were all a bit shocked, not appropriate. -The server- 2 stars- This was a huge disappointment, the waitress was so rude. She had to take our orders, bring and refill drinks and bring and cash out checks. Not nearly as much work as other restaurants. This woman didn't seem to care or realize she was working. At first she didn't remember who ordered what drink, ok no big deal. But then she didn't seem to want to bring refills, which were alcohol btw, which would have increased her tip. She ignored or forgot about several requests and seemed to be bothered to come back. Our table started asking other servers to bring us things, which luckily they were able to help with. At one point she even said out loud "I know, I'm terrible." Which would usually make me feel bad for someone but she didn't seem to care or to be trying to improve the situation. When we got our checks she accidentally put my Truly on someone else's check. In another restaurant this would be fixed and no one would remember it had happened. Here she explained the snafu and apologized but didn't offer to fix it. Once I realized what happened I asked her to fix this and add the drink to my card. She said I'm sorry and once again didn't offer or seem to want to make the change. She told the other guests it shouldn't be a big deal, it's only another $5. At this point everyone was over it and wanted to leave. -The ambiance- 1 star or less- I'll start by saying most hibachi is memorable the first time you go, then it's usually the same. The people in the restaurant aren't that memorable because you are there for dinner and a show. This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was shocking. When we walked in we realized it was very busy. After being seated we noticed it was a bit rowdy. It was a Friday night at dinner so many people needed to let loose a little? After looking around further some of the other guests looked dirty, like they didn't bathe, wash their clothes or wipe their kids faces before they went out. It has to be bad if you notice this when you are out to enjoy yourself. People seemed to be careless and the restaurant was a bit messy as a result. When I went to use the restroom another worker was finishing up and said to me "I'm glad I came in here before you. Someone threw up all over." This is super gross and like I said it was about 8:30, late dinner time. This place was full of families. I'm not sure who was going that crazy!? The stranger part was the server didn't seem shocked, upset or that phased that this happened. I get the feeling it might be a common occurrence. I definitely wouldn't recommend it here and I won't be coming back. Too many weird things to say they had a bad night. I heard better things about Dao. Next time I'm in the mood for hibachi I'll go there. read more

We did hibachi - and the food is always good there. It's always a little salty, but I think it's supposed to be that way? The veggies are always fresh, the chicken is trimmed to zero gross crap on it, the steak and shrimp are good quality. My issues are service ... never asked for a refill. the grill guys still wear those stupid cowboy hats - they should have the shogun warrior hats or a sushi chef hat. The menu's are greasy and disgusting. There are boxes piled up in one corner ... just looks tacky. The attention to detail is not there. read more

Fuji Grill II is one of my favorite restaurants. I usually go with a group from my work every couple months and every time I leave thoroughly satisfied. One thing to note, I've only even eaten at a sit-down table and have not had a hibachi experience at Fuji Grill II. I usually get the Sashimi Deluxe, which contains 18 pieces of assorted sashimi. The fish is always fresh. The salmon in particular is so buttery smooth I often wonder why Fuji Grill is able to provide such a superior taste and texture compared to other Japanese restaurants. If you're hungry and adventurous, I recommend going with the Omakase, which simply means you name a price and the chef will dream up some fantastic sushi creations not often found on the menu. For dessert, I really like the Exotic Bomba. To be honest, I think they just buy it frozen, but they do a really good job of dressing it up with chocolate and whip cream that it makes it worth it and I always look forward to getting it at the end of my meal. I also like how they treat their regular customers. Go often enough and they will go above and beyond to give you a fantastic experience every time. They may treat you with complimentary sake or edamame or a delicious seaweed salad. I was forced to pay for drinks that weren't made property and that we were NOT happy with. The bartender was so disrespectful and rude it was unbelievable. She embarrassed me in front of my party and told me paying for the drinks no matter what. Our food was excellent and our sever was awesome. Fuji grill is a great place to get value for your buck. While most people come to celebrate some event and choose to sit at the grill for the show that is Hibachi, we opted for one of the side tables. You can get the hibachi without all the fan fare and faster too. Out first food came within 5 minutes of ordering. The sushi is some of the better sushi I have had in our area, not counting Wegmans. It is fresh and delicious. The hibachi steak was delightfully cooked but did lack flavor. A little Wasabi from the sushi cured that. The rice was great. I ordered a side of noodles to mix my veg in. So good. My shrimp were a little over cooked but tastey. Also they have a pear martini on the menu that is so good we stopped at the liquor store so I could make more at home. The only bad thing is the noise. Every time I have been here no matter what day of the week, it is packed. This lends to a very loud atmosphere and it was hard for us to talk, ven with the little curtain closed, which were not helpful at all. If you are looking for a quiet dinner this is not the place.. I felt bad for him because I ordered Sushi and it was so backed up that our Hibachi meals came, we're eaten, and cleared before the sushi arrived, which we had to take to go because everyone had finished their meal before mine had come. I walked in around 12:00pm for lunch. The establishment was much bigger inside, and I was surprised by its size upon walking in. The size is similar to that of a chinese buffet. I was seated right away, no waiting. Afterwards, people starting coming in for lunch. The table was cleaned but I had noticed water mark stains on it, and the table legs were a little wobbly. As soon as I was seated, a waitress came over for my drink order. Since I am an avid Coca-cola drinker, I learned quickly that they served only pepsi products so I skipped soda and stucked with water. The lunch menu was a pretty good deal (2 rolls for $7, or 3 rolls for $10). I picked the 3 rolls, which came with a miso soup...but I added a salad with ginger dressing for an extra $1. Service was quick. Soon after the waitress walked away, she came back with my soup, salad and water. 5 minutes later, my rolls arrived. I had ordered a spicy yellowtail, spicy salmon and spicy tuna. My rolls were not made with pieces (nor chunks) of fish. Instead it was more grinded up fish with tempura groundings in it. I was very disappointed, as I ordered raw rolls, and I did not want anything fried in my food (but that is just my personal preference). Ambiance: this is a hibachi restaurant so expect there to be noise, people cheering when the chef entertains his table, etc. In addition, the music over the speakers are more of a pop or hip hop music. Pros: Service is VERY quick, good for lunches, Extremely affordable, $12 was my bill (plus tips), Waitress is pleasant. Cons: There were no issues really.
