Was in the mood for some Korean food an this definitely hit the spot! The atmosphere was intimate and cozy, a hole in the wall type deal with k-dramas playing on the TVs. I ordered the Asian Pear juice and my friend ordered the White Grape Nectar juice, which were both really good. I ordered the Deji Sangyeopsal which was all right, the gochu sauce made it good. However, where the restaurant really shines was its DELICIOUS bibimbap. It came out steaming and audibly hissing and tasted amazing. If you go here, get the Dalsot bibimbap. Only complaint I have is that there no little side dishes like kimchi or radish (a side of kimchi was 8 (!) dollars) that came with the dishes. read more

This place is great! It was small but the staff tried to be accommodating to everybody that came. Our friends ordered some appetizers and I ordered the soup and the egg rolls. The soup had the dumplings in it. You can order them either pork or vegetable I assume they're both great. I know that the vegetable one was really good. As for the egg rolls their sauce really made the difference. My boyfriend ordered the beef lo mein and it was the talk of the table. Then there was the s'mores dessert that everybody enjoyed. Someone mention how the chocolate could have been a little bit more melted but other than that it was a good idea. I would recommend this place to anybody that's around the area if you want to get a good meal for a reasonable price. I tried the Spicy Jjampong and Spicy Chicken Bao buns. It's evident I love spice! The soup was very fulfilling and tasty and the bao buns with spicy chicken were soft and flavorful. The soup is great for one person if you're really hungry but can also be shared since the portion is big. Staff is friendly and there's also a cute patio/garden area out back to enjoy. I'm so sad I forgot to take pictures!! The food looked so delicious and it smelled so good that I ate without thinking! Service - 10/10, as soon as we walked in, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They explained the menu to us because we were confused if the "deji samgyupsal" was like stir-fried spicy pork or if it was actual pork belly that was spicy. (It's spicy pork belly! SO GOOD.) The server was always quick to make sure she mentioned how hot the plates were and positioned it so we don't have to touch the plates. Food - I cannot even begin to explain how rich in flavor the Kimchi Soup is! A lot of other korean restaurants are stingy with the amount of pork (or other meat) they put in the soup, but even after I was full and ready to stop eating, I was able to pick out lots of pork! They give really fulfilling portions. The vegetable dumplings (steamed) are super delicious! And the deji samgyupsal was the right amount of spicy, with some sweet chili sauce on the side. Atmosphere - We came during lunch time. The music is not too loud, the restrooms are clean, I love the decorations on the wall. We had also never had Kimchi and were kindly provided small samples of it to try and to take at no charge. It's something small, but the small things are what exemplify what a business cares about. I'm not very familiar with Korean or Chinese other than the Americanized versions. That being said everything we tried definitely had new and different flavors for my pallet to explore. * * I personally had "Deji Samgyeopsal" - seared pork belly in spicy sauce with lettuce and gochujang sauce. It was very flavorful and different. The spice level was mild and overall it was a solid dish regarding flavor profile, quality, and quantity. The pork was slightly dryer than expected, but pork can be tricky and these are hard times so that doesn't deter me at all from returning or recommending this establishment. Pleasantly surprised to find this place! It feels kind of out of the way - in a random area - but once inside, there's an intimate cozy feel. They have tons of vegetarian options, I didn't know what to get because there were so many things to choose from! Ended up getting the veggie dumpling soup to start and the veggie japchae. Wow - this is definitely our new neighborhood favorite. We couldn't be more excited to be walking distance to such a gem!! Great food, friendly and fast service, what more could you ask for? Perfectly priced as well and great quality . We both ordered the chicken stir fry, and it was sooo yummy! The order comes with the stir fry chicken of course, egg drop or chicken noodle soup, an egg roll, and fried rice. Pro tip - if you don't want rice, you can get extra stir fry veggies! You get so much food! We were full after the soup and egg roll. My only wish is that the soup wasn't served so hot. It immediately burned the roof of my mouth, and it stayed smoking for another 15 mins on the table. I realize some people like it that hot, but i really couldn't eat it until 10 mins after I received it. It was delicious however once it cooled down !! The dessert looked AMAZING! I should note that everyone in my party of 6 (including myself) is from Korea, so our expectations for Korean restaurants in the U.S. are quite high, to say the least. We ALL thought the food at Fuchai was amazing. We shared Dolsot Bibimbap, Pork Kimchi Jjigae, Jajang Myeon, and Spicy Jjampong, and all of them were excellent. Not bad. Inexpensive prices in Edgewater, in a small restaurant tucked away in al old building on 2nd ave. Small dining room is tastefully yet sparsely decorated. Dishes were good but not excellent. Ordered steamed dumplings, with a thick skin that was not very appetizing. The dipping sauces were tasty, but came in cylindrical containers that made it all but impossible to dip the dumplings. Also ordered the dolsat bibimbap. The toppings were good, but the pot was not sizzling and we did not get the nice crunch on the rice bibimbap is known for. All in all it was an okay experience, but it could be better. I would recommend the owners to get Korean silverware, and pay better attention to detail. read more

What a hidden gem! Reviews are true, people. Trust them. This place is great and the staff very friendly. Fried chicken rice will always be a must when you go to a Asian restaurant, because to me if that's not good, nothing else will be lol! The small portion is more than enough for to share if you're having other entrees. Pork buns are out of this world! You'll want to take that sauce home to put it on everything and Veggies Lo Mein is a great option too. An amazing place for yummy oriental food, right in the heart of Wynwood! I ordered a good selection of food: an egg roll, pan fried dumplings and pepper steak. The egg roll was outstanding, the best I've had in a very long time. The crispy shell was nicely complemented with a dash of cinnamon and quality ingredients. Dumplings were very good but could have used stronger flavors. Pepper steak used superb ingredients but also could have used a bit more flavor. The chicken noodle soup was excellent, flavorful with delicious ingredients. My waitress, Amy, was a charming and delightful young lady. Overall the result was excellent when compared to other local eateries. It was also nice to see food that was not carbohydrate-infused. I haven't found a better place since I moved down to Miami. A little north of downtown, this small (25 seats) Asian Fusion eatery is a gem. Modestly priced with a solid menu of apps and entrees the service was excellent and the food was very good. We started with smoked chicken dumplings (lightly fried). Light crunch with a yummy filling and a ginger sweet dipping sauce. As an entre we had the Jajang Myeon with chicken. Super food and lots of flavors bursting in our mouths... the pancakes were full of flavor and not greasy or oily. The dumplings were perfectly steamed and the stuffing had lots of mild spices. The vegetable bibimbap was so flavorful my taste buds were dancing. The broth has me spooning it out to the last drop. The chick and tofu dishes were perfectly cooked and just the right portion size.
