I knew I wanted the cement look on my fireplace but I didn't know where to start because I don't know too much about the different types of materials out there. After some research I realized that it's some type of plaster, so I started to reach out to plaster companies on yelp. FSS was so easy to message and ask questions. I saw one of their pictures on Yelp used a product called Tadelakt and I realized that was what I was looking for. They texted me a product catalog so I can pick a color, they ordered the material, and finished the job in one day once it arrived. They even came back the next week to clean up some edges per my request and left me some material in case I needed it, but offered to come again if I had any concerns. This company is FANTASTIC. We needed a lot of repair work done all the way around the base of the house, in most places extending nearly three feet up the walls once the old crumbling stucco was scraped off. They gave me a fair estimate and were able to do the repair soon after my request. They were very efficient, hard-working, polite, masked, and cleaned up thoroughly after finishing, with the added bonus of being really nice folks. They clearly worked well together and afterwards I learned that this is a family company; father, son and others. They took obvious pride in their work and rightly so! Their work was AMAZING. I was concerned about the stucco match as our entire neighborhood has the old, heavy stucco pattern and it is easy to see the many less than ideal stucco repairs on other houses. Our strange stucco pattern was perfectly matched and all of the other related work SO nicely done, every square inch of it. Fernando and his crew were reliable, honest, and worked hard and fast to remove the stucco we had and replaced it with a semi-smooth texture. We chose Sterling grey as the color with white trim. He provided us a sample between sterling grey and dove grey with the two textures. Before they started we requested an additional quote to also add window, door, and garage frame moldings. We are very impressed with FSS Plastering! A wood specialist had removed a large amount of old decorative wood trim on the front of our 2 story home. The next day, Fernando and his crew replaced the exposed old tar paper and wire mesh with current waterproofing materials and used current techniques. Everything was done with the utmost care.
