Once for a master bathroom remodel that came out incredible. Second for a quick (and easy!) kitchen counter remodel. The third time is when we had a water leak that flooded one room. We called New Leaf and he was there the very next day. (Same day was not needed because of the restoration demolition). He let us know he has his team on standby for when we got the all clear that all the water was dry in the frame. And guess what, the day after we got the all clear from restoration people, New Leaf was there to go over the room rebuild and to get started. The cabinets were 50% more and construction costs were 75% more than other bids for the same work! We obviously chose to go elsewhere but they refused to release the designs, so we basically burned $3,000 and a lot of time only to learn that they were unnecessarily expensive. When I asked them for the designs they became defensive and refused to provide them. During this process, we also ordered a bathroom vanity from them that was 50% more than what we could have purchased locally, but we liked the design and were already working with them so we proceeded. The vanity took a month longer than expected to arrive and was wrong, but at this point we couldn't wait any more because the project had been held up so much. The people we worked with were all nice but their pricing and policies are completely out of touch with the market today. I wish I could recommend them but there are so many better options.

I had 3 other estimates before finding Showcase, and even know they are pricey, there were no hidden costs, as I could tell there would be with other companies. Scott West came out and was very thorough at helping me find all the materials and do the design. His integrity and expertise made it go smoothly. We had the ceiling and 2 walls removed, and added an outer wall, it was a huge undertaking. Once all the decisions were made, it was handed over to Steve Love, the project manager, who was amazing! Steve is a perfectionist, and involved in even the tiniest details. He gave me everything I wanted and more. They kept the project clean, and kept me informed at every move. They showed up everyday as promised. We did go over the completion date, but that's because I changed my mind several times, and Steve accommodated me at every level. He walks around with a small flashlight inspecting every inch of the project daily, making sure it's going correctly. Their subcontractors were all professional and highly trained. I highly recommend Showcase Kitchen and Bath, I wouldn't try to save money and just find hidden costs and headaches, these are the guys to go to!

Our first correspondence began in January, and although he was unable to accommodate us until March, we were understanding and willing to wait. Initially, he quoted us for three separate projects. While the pricing seemed high, we still decided to move forward and schedule the work. One of the projects involved plumbing concerns, which became more urgent, so we decided to have our regular plumber handle that portion separately. I reached back out to revise the scope of work down to only two projects. Surprisingly, the updated quote for two projects ended up being more expensive than the original quote for all three. When I questioned the pricing, I was told the original pricing was only lower because the work had been "bundled." A few days before the scheduled appointment, I asked whether it would be possible to push the work back by one day due to a busy client schedule at our business. He declined and instead suggested an entirely different date that worked better for him, which delayed the project even further from the original timeline. We agreed in an effort to remain flexible. He later requested a deposit, which was understandable. However, because this was for our business, I requested a detailed written quote and W-9 form so our accounting department could properly process payment. Despite multiple requests, he was unable to provide the documentation needed, and communication became increasingly delayed and inconsistent. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward and decided to cancel the project. His response afterward was extremely unprofessional, to the point where I ultimately blocked further communication. We ended up hiring another handyman who completed the same work professionally and for nearly 50% less than his quoted pricing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this handyman to other business owners looking for professionalism, transparency, and reliable communication.

Working with Alan was a delight. We interviewed a total of 7 general contracting companies for our kitchen remodel and Alan not only came with great ideas and remodeling knowledge, he also wasn't too salesman-sy or pushy which I hate. We already had a strong visual design in plan and I liked that he didn't show hesitancy for any part of the vision we wanted. There were several other companies I met with who were against cutting tile glass for example. We did a full kitchen remodel from the studs/flooring up and also moved the washer/dryer from the garage to the interior. We did some tweaks as we went on and the team handled the change orders fine and Alan was extremely easy to communicate with text and frequently stopped by to check up on the remodel and how we were doing. When we started to get estimates for replacing our roof we were prepared to arrange for and coordinate the solar panel removal and reinstallation. Nick Bar, the project supervisor from AHI, explained how AHI could take care of the entire project. Nick and AHI handled the permitting, solar panel removal, roof replacement and solar panel reinstallation. Nick kept us informed at every step. This included giving details about the replacement material selection to meet local codes. The crews (solar panel & roof) were each professional and courteous. I told them I wanted color-changing LED lighting, custom shelving for my consoles, a clean dual-monitor setup, and soundproofing for late-night gaming. They didn't just agree they brought back even better ideas. They redesigned the whole room, added hidden cable channels so everything looks flawless, installed floating shelves with LEDs underneath, and helped me choose the perfect paint color to make the room glow. They also suggested adding foam acoustic panels throughout the space, which ended up making the room perfectly soundproof. Every detail from the way I wanted the lighting to reflect off the walls to the exact height of my monitor mountwas done with crazy precision. Our first week he set up a group access on the notes app. As I found different interests in lighting, tile, flooring, etc. I'd add links to the notes. The crew was respectful, showed up when they said they would, and kept the site tidy, which I really appreciated since this was happening in our backyard.
