Thanks to some water damage from above, we had to replace our ceiling and cabinets in our condo. This led to us re thinking the entire kitchen space. The design I came up with required running the water, drain, and gas lines in a new direction. We absolutely would recommend Jack Meir and American Home Improvement (AHI) to anyone looking to do a big home remodel project or a small one! Back in July 2024 we interviewed a bunch of different contractors for At that time was just a full kitchen remodel and new flooring throughout the house. Jack gave us a competitive quote and spent an hour with us at the house discussing the project and showing examples of his work. We weren't ready to start construction until end of September and he was never pushy, and was able to start 3 days from the time we said "let's do it!" Jack set up appointments at various cabinetry and tile places, and met us at each one to help us and ensure that we worked with reliable vendors that he's familiar with their work. During demo, his crew found asbestos flooring in a few bedrooms(!!!) and he advised us on getting a good company to do testing and abatement-- because we knew eventually we needed to redo our hallway bathroom, we also had his team check that bathroom floor and sure enough-- asbestos black mastic! We had the abatement team out within a few days and because of his professionalism and amazing organization skills he was able to keep our project on track without delay. Also the asbestos abatement was very reasonable. We ultimately re-did the whole kitchen, installed engineered hardwood flooring throughout the house, entire hallway bathroom remodel, recessed lighting throughout the house, resized a window in the kitchen, upgraded the electrical panels, repainted the interior of the entire home, installed beautiful under-eave lighting, and refinished and fixed a wood/ metal side yard gate. Throughout the whole project Jack has been very on top of everything-- coordinating his guys to come out, checking in on their work to ensure it is what we had in mind and of high quality, coordinating applying for and getting all the permits and inspections with the city, and making sure our entire project was done and ready for move-in all within 9 weeks! He is a miracle worker! It's unheard of to do this much work on a house and have it done in this amount of time. It's because Jack knows what he is doing and is amazing at coordinating his subcontractors to come out on time in the right order, and they all do high quality work-- no short cuts! Jack and AHI have spent years working with and finding the right people who are trustworthy and reliable. His guys show up on time, do great work, and the follow-through if anything ever needs to be fixed or changed is unparalleled. He has been so wonderful to us throughout the process-- keeping us updated on the schedules and making sure we are happy with the end product. AHI and Jack Meir have been so wonderful to work with.
