After having loyally filled my prescriptions from the same doctor for the past eight years, I was rather abruptly informed yesterday (9/17/25) with no notice, that Fry's Pharmacy would no longer fill prescriptions from my physician. No explanation was given. No courtesy was extended. If you take a medication like I do that can be hard to find, this is a true hardship. The right thing to do would have been to give me notice before my last prescription was exhausted; I would have had time to find a replacement pharmacy, with no interruption in treatment. Instead of treating me as a patient and valued customer, you discarded me when you were through profiting from me. Shame on you and your company for treating people this way. Your argument is with the physician, not the patient. There is no excuse for this behavior. To my fellow patient's that read this: Be aware that Fry's may do the same thing to you as it did to me. Protect your health, and find a pharmacy that values your business, and acts with consideration and compassion. read more

I have shopped a Fry's for over 30 years. Imainly shop,at the Fry's on El Camino in Sun City West. It used to be a good experience, but over the past year or so, it's been a chore. Empty shelves, rarely see anyone stocking, but the worst is checkout. I know you are attempting to force self checkout on your customers, but not everyone likes it. I am elderly, living in an elderly Community--Sun City West. Older people have problems with having to fill a cart while shopping, then scanning the items, them bagging them, then loading the groceries in their car. It's uncomfortable when you have someone watching you, then checking your receipt again what's in your bag. So most of us stand in line for 15+ minutes with 10+ other customers with only 1 or 2 cashier's ringing up groceries while self checkout is either empty, or 1 or 2 younger customers are using it. If you cared about the aged community that shop at your stores, you may want to rethink forcing self checkout on people who hate it and refuse to use it. read more

After reading the reviews regarding Fry's pharmacy, I have to say they are most certainly consistent, if nothing else...after attempting to check on the clarification/ status of a prescription that I received notice of via voice mail (that was virtually unintelligible). After eventually (after quite sometime) of someone answering the phone, I was put on hold for a lengthy period of time...after what seemed like an eternity the phone began ringing thru again and was eventually again answered after stating that I was checking on a prescription I was told I needed to contact the pharmacy...I explained I was just put on hold by the pharmacy and really didn't have the time to go through this whole ordeal again!!...thanks bunches Fry's although I do enjoy your store generally, I'll make sure to have my prescriptions filled elsewhere...another customer service fail! read more

Called the Fry's at Litchfield and Waddell in Surprise to get an answer on a delivery fee showing up before I confirmed the order. First time, talked to a supposed manager that couldn't give me an answer. Second call. Person said they'd park the call and get the manager. On hold for a half hour before the call disconnected. THIRD call. ON HOLD FOR ONE HOUR AND SEVENTEEN MINUTES. Obviously, they didn't want to deal with it OR try and find an answer. Called a different Fry's on Reems and Bell in Surprise and the woman explained that it's an InstaCart fee and to apply on the actual Fry's website. So maybe that's why the store at Litchfield and Waddell SUCKS! Their employees AND management don't give a rats ass. Way to get things done and CARE about the the customer. I have been into the pharmacy 4 times to pick up my current prescription on the word of a worker in the pharmacy, it's still not ready. This particular pharmacy is located within Fryes on the SW corner of Lindsay and Broadway in Mesa, Az. Today's pharmacist is named Brandon and he is very rude and condescending. Despite being told yesterday that my prescription would be ready in one hour (it wasn't) Brandon informed me that it would be ready in 2 hours. I have been out of this medication for 2 days but ... not Fryes, particularly Brandon's, problem. read more

My wife was visiting the Fry's Grocery Store located at 5140 W Baseline Rd, Laveen Village, AZ 85339, picking up medication at the Pharmacy counter at approximately 1:25pm on 10/11/2021; while having a brief conversation with myself and her physician concerning the medication she was prescribed; the clerk or pharmacy tech demanded my wife hang up the phone call; siting to my wife loud enough for us to hear on the call that she was committing a H.I.P.P.A. violation. My wife then asked the clerk to repeat what she had said, then was told that if my wife was fine with her information being released, she can continue the call. I immediately contacted the store directly at (602) 237-7000, and spoke to a manager by the name of Chandra, and explained the situation. The manager then became argumentative with me, explaining that her staff cannot do their job when customers are on the phone. I advised the manager of my plan to contact corporate with my grievance, to which her reply was thank you, then disconnected the call. This is absolutely atrocious behavior and will only lead to me never going to any establishment and making any future purchases with anything concerning this corporation. read more

So very tired of the pharmacy. We check on our prescriptions and they will tell us one date then when we call to check on what time they move the date all the time. It happens every month. Im so sick and tired of none of them knowing anything. They all need to be fired and put in people who know what they are doing. Meds are always a day late.. ALWAYS!! Why should they care when they aren't the ones in pain. They dont care about customer service or customer care. I hate their pharmacy. Cottonwood frys sucks!! read more

Went to the store on Higley & Chandler Heights the night before Easter it was 9:51. I needed to run in to get orange juice. I was denied at the door because they stop "letting people in at 9:50." When I called customer service to let them know that I thought this was probably not the best business practice, the woman asked if I spoke to a manager and I said no, she said next time ask for a manager, then she proceeded to tell me they go home at 10pm after the registers are shut down. If this is the case then change the hours to say 9:50 pm instead of 10pm on your doors since that's when your doors CLOSE, or schedule people till 11. Fry's Pharmacy in Anthem, AZ is amazing. I don't know what has happened to the Pharmacy Dept on Glassford Hill Prescott Valley AZ, but I was hung up on this morning! I have been using them for approx 8 years with no problems, until about 1-2 months ago.. Your pills are Never ready to be picked up, and their excuse is your Dr. hasn't call them in. Call your Dr. to see what is going on They say they were called in, but will send another ORDER.This morning I tried to call in a refill, and they said there was something wrong with my phone number and transfered me to someone else, After waiting for about 10-15 minutes on the phone you get the dreaded click sound and the message "if you would like to make a call!!!!! In otherwords the call was disconnected" These pills were called in from 12/3 , 12/9 and 12//19 and NONE of them are ready to be picked up. I did call my Dr. office again and they resent the orders. I have a condition (several really) that I can stop breathing and fall alot - myasthenia gravis. I am so upset with the Frys Pharmacy, two months in a row they were unable to fill my prescription on time! I'm on a pain patch that last 7 days. So my doctor gives me 3 refills. Two months in a row now the pharmacy has been out of my patch on my due date which is every four weeks, 28 days. . You would think that the pharmacy would call you to let you know they are out of your item, so you could call another pharmacy company in your town to see if they could fill it by your due date. So now because of it not being on hand I will be going through withdrawals. So not right! Something is wrong with the ordering system at Frys and needs to be corrected. My scripts at Frys are thousands of dollars a year, I am so upset I will be looking for a new pharmacy. read more

Why do you let the automated service call and tell people their prescriptions will be ready on a certain date but when you go to pick it up, they tell you to come back the next day they are behind? and they can't seem to fill a prescription soon enough, so you don't miss 2 or three doses of your medicine. if restaurants were run like fry's pharmacies' there would be no restaurants open for business. come on fry's lets work on the customer service. my fry's in the 1915 S. If I could give negative stars, I would. The fry's on hunt highway RARELY has the drive through open, they take 3 - 4 days or more to fill prescriptions, and if you are in the hospital and need a prescription, you have to wait hours or days! This is totally unacceptable in this day and age. Hunt highway had 6 people working in the pharmacy but say they don't have enough staff to open the drive through. This makes it very clear they want sick people in the store so others get sick and they can sell more medication. They should all be fired and replaced with human beings. read more

I placed an order for my daughter's medication on Thursday and they told me it would be ready in an hour. When I went in on Tuesday they told me that an order for her medication was never placed and I would have to come back the next day. At that point, my daughter would have had to miss a day of meds. I think we deserve an explanation from Fry's Pharmacy especially since we are both on a fixed income. I am a NP. Fry's has been able to manage high blood pressure meds, statins, very well in the past 8 years. All of a sudden - their new phone system is a nightmare. In addition, many meds have been short of pens, meds not being followed up on after PA's. Also the customer service is an absolute mess. I've prescribed for many patients over the last year and I've never seen such a mess in my entire life. Pharmacists not filling entire prescriptions and shorting them for 15 days instead of at least a months supply. Fry's pharmacy has put my patients in danger for no reason, meds are paid, prescribed properly, data for insurance pharmacists is properly stated. Tis company has made the lives of my patients a living nightmare. End of story. Giving a one star only because there is no place to advocate for patients and try civil remedies, not even sure there are civil remedies even for injuries in this state. Please hire some competent people, maybe some of the people you have refused to hire because I happen to know a few that you didn't want and they were much more dedicated and qualified than the mess you have now... This pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. After one day of my medicine "not coming through" I got it reordered, now that could be on the doctor. That's fine. They resent it at 8 am. Corporate is obviously not doing their job. Just at Fry's pharmacy in Mesa-Broadway and Lindsay. Have been waiting on prescriptions that were called in by my physician last week. I was told that they were behind due to Covid vaccines being given there "we are a week out". So prescriptions can not be filled, because of vaccinations? This a poor excuse. You should have proper staffing to do both. Cancer, High Blood pressure, Respiratory infections etc still happen during a pandemic! People need and depend on pharmacies to provide service, and have prescriptions ready in a timely manner. This is just poor scheduling. My prescriptions are still not ready after 5 days, inexcusable. Another member of my household went to get their prescription that was sent in yesterday for Strep, he was told their electronic system is down. Yesterday they told him that the provider did not call it in. Spoke to provider early this morning and it was sent in yesterday afternoon, while he was at Urgent Care. So no Medications, but plenty of excuses. Someone at corporate needs to take a good look at this pharmacy and the people that are supposed to provide service, not excuse. I have never heard of anyone getting well from a pharmacist excuse! I will be using another pharmacy in the future. I may take my grocery business elsewhere as well. read more

For years I have used this for my medications. and one reason was I always asked for Qualitest brand for the hydrocodone and today they told me it is no longer available. The other generic brands do not work as well and take longer to be absorbed into my system. When you make changes like this we should be forewarned so we can shop at a different pharmacy.
