    Pupusa

I only come here for the pupusas. They're very delicious, and not greasy like they usually are everywhere else. I feel like they could improve on their customer service skills, otherwise I'd give it 5 starts. The prices are great, they're $4.50 each and they're big.

Ever since I picked up a 3rd hustle, I pass by this place so often that I stood myself that I would stop by. Tonight was that time. Ordered Pastor and Chorizo tacos and it was pretty good!! I wanted to try their sopes and he recommended chicharon and cheese with jalapenos. Boy that hit the spot!! It was freshly made by their abuela on the spot too so you know this is for real freshness, and the chicharon had a crunch at every bite. Truly a hidden gem!!

My goshes summer is here! If you want to hit the spot on a hot sunny afternoon this is the place. We came here after a day at work to relax and enjoy something fresh and good for you. I had the tamarindo ice, slightly tangy and total cold - perfect! Next time? A fruit cup.

Since we had unusually high temperatures tonight I thought a nice cold fruit bowl would be nice so I found this place on Yelp and since it had great reviews so my husband and I went down and ordered a fruit cup with Chamoy and a Bionicos. Well apparently they stop making things with fruit at 7:00pm but the woman reluctantly made us the stuff anyways. I wish she would have just said they stop serving fruit at 7:00pm and left it at that instead of taking our money and giving us garbage that I could not even salvage once I got home and ended up throwing away. Thanks for wasting our time, money, and a bunch of fruit that would have been fine had you not drowned it in watered down crap. And the reason the fruit is in a bowl is because she filled a to go cup to the point where once I opened it the liquid spilled everywhere. How exactly are you supposed to eat this and why would you? It literally tasted like a cup of water with a bit of chamoy for color.

Love the tostilocos, raspados and torta de pierna! Great pupusas, bacon wrapped hotdogs and tacos Friday-Sunday only, starting at 6pm.

Love that I can find Agua Fresca here. Had he Chorizo street taco and Fresa Agua Fresca. The taco was enough for 2. My husband had carne asada tacos. They didnt start serving tacos until 6. We had to park a block away and seating is outside but the food was good.

You had me at fresh tortillas!! Amazing! Don't let the fact that this place has humble decor and bright colorful signs from which to order dissuade you from stopping in. The staff is friendly, quick, and pays attention to detail. It felt like the woman at the counter was the owner. She took great pride in her food and service. I had menudo and it was clean and fresh tasting (highly recommend). My partner had a tostada de camaron (yum!). The tostada had small chunks of jicama and pepino - it was crispy, fresh and crunchy. It came piled high with tons of shrimp and a little spicy kick. I usually measure a place by their chile (salsa). I have to say they certainly did it right. Hot as heck. Watch out for that punch. This place had all my senses going wild. The colors, the smells, the taste. But mostly my belly was happy. Full belly= happy heart.

Got finals? Get yourself a Gasolina. I'm pretty sure it's got a full can of Red Bull in it. They are very generous with their portions and the ingredients are fresh. If you're worried about your environmental impact, BYO container. Oh and they have Takis! Yes!!!

    Tachimoli
    Maricela C.

The tachimoli is delicious! Mango, tamarindo, chamoy, lemon, and salt. It's like a tamarindo slushy with mango. Perfect on a hot summer day. $5 medium, $6 large. They have cut up fruit w/ lemon and chili, fresh fruit smoothies and juices (much better than Jamba/Robeks), tostilocos, tortas, Mexican slushies (raspados), and so much more.

    Mangoneadas 2.28 each

It took about 5 minutes of me standing in front of the cash register before the lady acknowledged me. Then randomly looked at me and said "are you ready now?" Ummm. Yes I had been ready. I ended up picking up 4 mangoneadas which were delicious. Only 2.28!!! I love them, not so much the customer service but the mangoneadas are definitely worth it

    Betts C.

This place is legit, authentic Mexican juicery. If you've never had a bionico, I highly recommend you try one here. Highly addictive, and healthy. The lady behind the bar was super kind and suggested a juice to help me feel better because Im sick. She explained what is in it, and the benefits. Although the decor is not like an expensive restaurant, they keep it clean.

Although I get annoyed at ordering at the front, I will say they try and speed the process up as much as possible. I've tried quite a few dishes on the menu and still have a few left to experience, but my go to is always something with bacon. The potatoes are cooked perfectly, along with the eggs, and steak (I believe they are cooking sous vide so they turns out perfectly every time) They have outside patio section that is shaded, along with little fans to help in case flies get in the way. This is a perfect brunch spot or a place to take yourself on a solo date, or family that's in town.

Everything feels clean, classy and thoughtfully put together. When you first arrive, seeing the line out the door can be a little intimidating. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

We came in on a Saturday and was unable to find street parking so as others advised, I had my friend watch the car and drive around as I made my way to the shop. The shop was so cute, it's small but with everything you'd need for a cheese and meat party including breads, canned additions/fish, and wines! I grabbed a fresh loaf of baguette to add to the order. Both trays were ready and absolutely fresh. The honorable cheesemongers overlooking shop were very nice and helpful! One female worker was providing samples for a gentleman when he asked for recommendations and my cheesemonger asked what kind of cheese texture I generally liked and offered to give me a cheese from three different animals, which I thought was absolutely awesome! She even offered to help me carry my trays out. The veggie tray was awesome, a great size, half pickled half not pickled, the dips were both amazing! We got the green goddess and Calabrian chili aioli and both were such a hit at our get together. The peppers are slightly spicy and were so delicious. We loved the variety of cheese and did not have a single cheese we didn't like. The petite toasts with the meat and cheese board is a must! So good and crispy and a perfect size for a bite. The trays were really sturdy and we appreciated the care put into the layout. We'll definitely be back Oh La Vache!

Firstly, since it's all plant-based, I was able to eat literally anything off the menu, which is always delightful. Started the meal with a Tricolore Salad and the Pizza Montanara for appetizers. The Salad was good, best when you can get a bit of every ingredient in each bite. The Pizza Montanara was hotter than magma when we received it, but once it cooled and we were able to tear it into pieces, it was very, very good. These two items themselves would be a great light meal. We had glasses of red wine with the main course, which paired well with the pastas we chose. One Vesuvio, which was really tasty with a little chili heat (not so much so that it made eating it a rough job,) and another pasta dish that I can't recall the name of that was very lemony and cooling. We both shared these dishes and the alternating between the two very different flavor profiles was really fun. The online menu doesn't have these pastas listed in the "Dinner" section, but the in-store menu did. The only thing that was kind of a bummer was that they were out of things like meatballs, olives, and a couple other items, but we were still able to choose dishes that were delicious. The restaurant's vibe is very laidback and like, elevated casual, if that makes sense. They have great little water glasses and everything has a modern feel, from the green decor accents to the fancy pasta forks, which are the first of their kind I've ever seen. The bathroom had a bidet, which was my first experience with the same, and it was cool and fun. Thorough! I laughed at the sticker on the bidet saying it WILL spray you in the face. All in all, this was a fantastic experience. Definitely be patient with finding parking, as we all know how 4th Street is. This will likely become a favorite celebration meal destination.

It's been a while since I found a New American restaurant that I thoroughly enjoyed everything I…read moreordered. Saint & Second just hits the spot for me! For starters, we got the Parker House Rolls, which comes with truffle butter, local citrus honey, and grana padano cheese. These rolls were so fluffy and flavorful. We also ordered the hummus, which was so rich and creamy, and the oysters from the raw bar. For the main, we ordered the Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop, Fish & Chips, and the Wedge salad to share. And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. We ended the dining experience with their Peach Cobbler Hand Pie, which came with streusel, pistachio crumble, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!

He immediately complied and proceeded to then antagonize him by telling him people eat there. He said yes I understand and got off. She proceeded to turn back MULTIPLE times to keep going. She then said you and your party can get out or I can call the cops. When I asked the clear manager in his outfit, requesting who the fake GM was, he along with the Bartender on shift played stupid as to supply her name. Margarita clearly was not a GM but felt that she needed to keep creating an unnecessary situation. The situation was already de escalated when he complied with what she asked. Do better with your staffing saint and second.
