Such a nice treat on a hot day, healthy too! The man who took my order was an absolute pleasure and even brought me water while I waited for my açaí bowl, this was a nice touch since it's a casual counter service place. Will definitely be back read more

Great service and delicious smoothies. Price is pretty high bit I assume the quality is great. The cashier was very helpful with out million questions and the venue is pretty small but earthy on the inside. There are seating options as well. read more

Very cool little dessert spot. I came in an ordered two scoops of cookies and cream. It was very creamy and soft. It was perfect for the warm day it was. The lady that works there showed me all the wonderful smoothies that she makes. They looked so delicious I can't wait to go back and try them. I appreciate small business owners like this. They take a lot of pride in what they do. read more

This shop is very welcoming and the owners are very kind. Their menu is massive and you're able to make changes with add-on's as you'd like. The smoothies we got were so refreshing and tasty. I highly recommend going here either for a snack/meal/dessert. read more

waited 15 mins for my smoothie when there weren't any other customers when I arrived. Paid almost $7 for the "Kale Colada" which didn't taste like much, since most of the drink is crushed ice and the produce used by the shop for their products are stored in an open "beverage cooler" style refrigerator in the dining area, haphazardly wrapped in cling-wrap. No, thank you. read more

I ordered takeout. The wait time took longer than expected, but I did enjoy the food. The açaí bowls where good, so were the empanadas! I also ordered some arepas which were okay. read more

Bomb vegan empañadas and smoothies! My girlfriend and I frequent the place when we're down bad. The food is amazing. All the people on here who complained about a wait time are too impatient and probably not okay with themselves. Rest assured the people behind the counter are putting the time in to make you good a** food. read more

Every time I go in their menu has expanded to more super goodness! Just great smoothies and smoothie bowls. Their food menu is expanding and I am definitely going to be a regular this summer for the smoothies. read more

Be prepared to wait 30+ minutes. Pros: -delicious açaí bowls -many options -portions are larger than other places. -delicious trio arepas! Cons: - takes forever to get one bowl. I came alone once and there was no other customer there, and I waited 30 minutes for 1 basic açaí bowl. I honestly didn't even hear the bowls being made. I feel like they were growing the açaí berries, importing them, and then creating the bowl. I later went with friends and it took even longer of course. Do not come if you're limited on time. read more

DS (Dear Spouse) and I have started taking evening constitutionals, mostly because I want to be the sort of person who takes evening constitutionals. He decided to start adding Fruit Paradise to the agenda periodically, even though it somewhat defeats the "Get out, get healthy" idea of the walk. But I love it. I really do. I'm boring, so I get an ice cream cone. He's more adventurous, and is going through their smoothie list. So far, his favorite one is "the pink one," which has Dragonfruit in it. But they're pretty much all delicious. If you decide to go to Burger King for a sweet, walk just a teensy bit further down the block and patron this establishment. And, according to the advertisements, they do delivery too. So if you're not the evening constitutional sort, they can take your constitutional for you! In case it matters to you, there isn't a 430 ILCS 66/65 sign that I could see. Huzzah! read more

Amazing açaí bowl! I have been walking by this place for a month and finally got to try it! The bowls are a great price and so delicious! We got the classic açaí bowl, a pork empanada, and blue chocolata and everyone enjoyed their food. Will definitely be back!! Don't sleep on this hidden gem! read more

My açaí bowl was very good. The wait took longer than expected and when I got my bowl it was somewhat melty which I was kinda disappointed in because I just got it after waiting 25 minutes. The customer service was amazing and the guy at the register was very kind and helpful. read more

Not only is the food and ice cream amazing, but so is the customer service. They let us try everything before we ordered. Also, they have this genius idea of serving ice cream on top of shaved ice so it stays colder longer. read more

I loved my peach sundae...actual peach fruit with banana ice cream, topped with whipped cream. It's near a park and burger king. I can't believe it's been there for over a year! While supplies last, for each purchase, there's a voucher for free bowling at Waveland bowl read more

Fruit Paradise - Peach sundae. Yum! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I am glad I found this cute cozy place. Even with the winter months, I am still in the mood for ice cream for myself and kids. I am particularly in love with their acai bowls. I used to go to the PEELED place in Evanston, IL not only was it over-priced but the staff was rude and the owners did not really care about customer satisfaction. At Fruit Paradise however, the owners are very personable and really want to please the customer. Everything is fresh and done with a friendly attitude. The prices are reasonable and you can bet you will find something you will like from this little snack place. May I recommend their empanadas. I love supporting small businesses as these especially when the owners truly are true advocates of customer satisfaction. (Goodbye Peeled Hello Fruit Paradise) read more

A solid 4-stars for the cutest "hidden gem" I've found thus far in Avondale, and perhaps the only combination kids' bookshop/cold sweets/empanada/coffee stand I've ever stepped foot in. On first glance, it's hard to tell what the main emphasis is. There are colorful decorations and kids' literature for sale; a full menu of shaved-ice, ice cream, and smoothie confections (many of them in the Mexican-Caribbean style); a selection of empanadas and other salty options; and decent coffee (not quite up to specialty/snob level, but better than the starry mermaid). In the end, it's mostly just a cute, Chicagoan riff on the little shops you might stumble into somewhere along a Mexican or Caribbean coastline. It doesn't quite reach the level of 5-star "exceptional," for me (and the prices seem a dollar or two too high), but it's worth a visit if you're in the mood for a colorful, tasty treat and the sensation of having left the country for a minute. read more

This place is literally Paradise!!! Customer service is the best!!! They let us try a lot of their flavors being first timers to get an idea of what we wanted and let me just say, everything we tried was so delicious!! It will have you begging for more!! We had their Empanadas, sandwiches, the mangonada (the best one we have had this far) Their Gloria Raspanieve (First time ever trying this and it was the most amazing thing I've tried ever) and their creamy iced coffee which was the best coffee I've had!! I definitely feel like I just walked out of paradise. Not to mention it's such a hip place, so cute and cozy!! And they are open late!! I will defiantly be coming here forever!!! Best snack shop in the neighborhood! Sure, there are other neveria in town, but this cute little shop has the most extensive menu and friendly staff who will answer your questions and made substitutions at your request. Lots of flavor choices, lots of interesting combos. Ingredients are fresh and delicious and everything is made-to-order. This is a true "mom and pop" shop which are so hard to come by these days. The owners are behind the counter everyday and they really care about their work. read more

AMAZING. The sunrise smoothie definitely hit the spot after my workout ;) this is a must go to place. It looks like they have other really neat ice cream concoctions and beyond. I definitely plan on coming back. read more

Fruit Paradise is a secret neighborhood treasure that should get more publicity. It is simultaneously healthy and indulgent - the mango smoothie is delicious, as are the ice cream sundaes and shakes. You should really be here twice a day - breakfast and dessert. And the prices are cheep cheep cheep. read more

The bf and I come here often. We're a block away and for years we would pass by it. One day we went it when we saw it was opened late and instantly I fell in love. I had an açaí bowl the first time I came here and it was good. But what I come here for now is the tamarindongo which is the tamarin smoothie . It's so good I'm seriously addicted to it. The bf gets a banana split. It's pretty good I've tried it before. I don't really have a sweet tooth so it's not really my thing. They have a decent size menu which I have yet to fully explore because I can't get enough of the tamarindongo. Great small place , they have a few board games and sell some independent books and art. Highly recommend this place and they're opened late. I think they close at 1030 pm. Also the prices are reasonable ,you definitely get what you pay for! Highly recommend . read more

Really like this place. I always get the Açaí bows. Well made, and good portions. Good healthy option in the neighborhood.

Great place if you want to wait 25 mis for a simple smoothie that didn't even taste good. Not recommended at all, do not worth the price!

I'm a regular customer and often order from Uber. I don't live super close by, but the food is always packed well and still cold when delivered! My parents and I love the Acai bowls :) I also really love their smoothies. Highly recommend! read more

I love having this place in the neighborhood! Everything they have is amazing, but their açaí bowls are #1 in my heart for breakfast.

Great place for smoothies and sandwiches. The sandwiches are big and packed. Smoothies are freshly made. How many more words must I type?

I ordered the kale colada smoothie and it was phenomenal. This was the best smoothie I've had in Chicago. My girlfriend got the Tropical Green smoothie, which was also great. I'll definitely be back to try the other things on their menu. Highly recommend! read more
