Alright well this was our first time ever trying out Frugals and many people have talked about it and said they had one of the best burgers ever. So had to go try it out and let me say damn this burger was super good and thr French fries were pretty good as well, this place is small and reminds me of an old style Cafe and only hold max capacity 17 people. Tried on a whim i baught a cheddar burger lol with a large fry and a huckleberry shake (its january).... now when i went to pay i was kinda shocked about it less than 20... it was also here really fast becuase i live by scc... but it was FREAKY GOOD like they are really being nice not to charge alot.... wow the shake was devoured the frys were perfect and the burger was amazing with krispy picles and this sauce of katsup and some idk... it was really good.... and i paid after tip like 19.8something.... 9.87/10 overall will recomend this place. Stopped in with my son for lunch since we were in the area. At 1st we were the only people in there, but it very quickly filled up in there! We ate at the counter and got to watch our food be cooked. The cooks were constantly checking temperatures of the food. The huckleberry milkshake was delicious. I enjoyed my fresh cheeseburger and fought over the cheese curds with my son lol the fries were pretty salty though. If you plan on eating there you need to have good timing. read more

It's actually a really good basic burger joint. The milkshakes are pretty standard, definitely have had better. The reason I gave them 3 stars is their customer service wasn't that great. People would walk in and be told hi but then they would leave the customer standing there wondering what to do next. While we were there 3 different groups came in, stood there and when not helped would finally leave. We finally realized it's a seat yourself situation and then we sat there waiting for a menu. I finally had to ask for one. There was a gentleman who came in before us and still hadn't had his order taken. Someone finally asked if he ordered and he said no, can I have a menu. Have been told to check this place out for awhile now and it is definitely worth it! the menu I just had a couple of items. I got cheese curds, a frugal burger, and a chicken sandwich, all of it was really good. The cheese curds were probably the best I've had, they were white cheddar which I've never had. The burger is really good! It cost like 3 bucks and it's a really good size burger. The chicken sandwich is big and hardy, the pickles on it are just amazing. I will definitely be returning here! Great little corner burger stand! Counter seating makes it feel nostalgic and neighborly. The burgers were fresh, tasted great, and came out hot and fast! If you're hungry and on a budget than this is definitely the place to go. Fresh made to order burgers which you can clearly taste for a very reasonable price. The fries are surprisingly really good. Thin, firm and semi crunchy with not too much salt. Great prices on their shakes too even if they only have 3 flavors!! Small cute location where wolfyys used to be. Not a whole lot of parking but it's a cute little section with a lot of other small businesses surrounding it. Friendly service, clean malt shop atmosphere with great prices on really good food!! Went here for lunch for the first time. It exceeded expectations. I had a double bacon cheeseburger with fries and a soda. It was quick, they cook it right in front of you and it's delicious! I saw the cook take the temp of the fryer oil which is awesome, because undercooked fries suck. It's the old wolfy's so its fairly small but a fun place. I like that their menu is smaller so I'm sure the quality of food is better. Also the price point is great! A meal here won't cost you an arm and a leg. read more

When I first came when they opened the name was applicable. The burger was around $2. Now it's $5. That's around a 100% increase. Since I got the combo my meal was like $13. Basically, the prices have increased a lot. Also I had to ask for lightly salted fries because Everytime I get the fries I feel my blood pressure rising. read more

Was super excited about this new burger joint since the building has been empty for so long. First of all...the staff, including the cooks, could not be nicer! Super friendly! They seem to have a lot of drive thru customers...but there is bar seating inside. I thought the burgers were ok....the fries were not done enough for me. They are generous with fries, but I wanted them to be more crispy outside and cooked inside. Decided to give this place another shot since my first and only experience wasn't the greatest and I gave these guys 4 stars instead of the 3, i tried their cheese curds and those were probably the best ones I've tried out here! They weren't greasy and had a breadcrumb type coating on them instead of beer battered which I think helped with them not being so greasy to where you feel sick after eating a couple! I went in on the 18th of July with my family and was pleasantly surprised the food was better than expected. Usually, when you eat at burger joints, the burgers are way too greasy, but this place is good. The style of the place is old school. We were excited to see Frugals come to Spokane since we regular stop at their location in Parkland. We love the food there and the double drive through made service super fast. This location is much smaller so it's not able to provide the full menu that the west side location does. They've dubbed this "Frugals Express". The smaller menu should mean faster/better service but that's not always the case. It is usually pretty good but still hit or miss. Same can be said for the food quality. Burgers are usually served hot but are sometimes dry. Same with the fries, usually hot and crispy but sometimes not. Between us, we have maybe 7 or 8 visits separately and together each of us has had a great visit and each has had a really bad one. We keep going back for the value and convenience each time hoping for a great visit. We're usually pretty satisfied--if they get more consistent they'll be unstoppable. read more

I am in love with this establishment. Walking past it may look like your everyday burger joint made for college kids and some quick grub, but this is so much more. This is a home. Almost 5 star. Maybe after I try a cheeseburger w/ bacon. And I'll have to see how the fries are. I decided to just go with a basic burger to get a good read on what they do. It was real good. The best thing was the meat. Tastes like fresh beef. Like it should. The bun is good and the condiments, incl lettuce and onions, could have been more plentiful. This is my family's #1, go-to spot in all of Spokane. We live 30 min outside of Spokane and will make a special trip when they are craving burgers. There are no other burgers like this. Totally fresh, awesome toasted fresh Franz buns, fries are so good and the price can't be beat. The best.
