I had the team from the Bronx sent out by my insurance company. The guys that picked up my things seemed to be polite and professional. Now what happens down at their facility is beyond me. I remember what I have and have photographed everything I sent. if I do not get all of my things I am going to immediately inform my adjuster and also the attorney general, and will print every last complaint against them from YELP. I already lost my home, I'll be damned if I'm going to lose what little clothes my children and I had left. I was told by one of the representatives that I would receive an inventory list but have yet to receive one. My clothes are being returned tomorrow and I swear everything had better be there. read more

Do not use this company I'm usually one to let it go and move on but after losing almost everything we own, I was so excited to get back some of the stuff from my closet that was considered salvageable. It got sent off to a company called FRSTeam and that is where my nightmare started. The communication with this company is a JOKE! First of all they gave us back over 50 pieces of clothing and baby blankets that didn't even belong to us. I was nice and returned it. We couldn't find Rylans baby blanket but later found it folded inside of another blanket. WHY???!!! I voiced that other thing are missing, that I watched them take, and was told I would get a response by Wednesday and its now Saturday and no one has called. Now I'm finally cutting the tags off of my clothing feeling excited to have a little bit of myself back, only to find out they used a tag gun right through the sleeves of everything. I know its small but its just one more thing that made me feel just a little less happy and I swear right now I just don't have anything left in me. So anyone that uses Allstate know that this company is a "preferred vendor" and if you ever come across them, save yourself the heartache and use someone else I want to add an update. I finally got to speak to the owner and he appolagized and was able to get someone to fix most of what I sent back. There were still about 10 items that were messed up and I was just so happy that so much was fixed I just agreed to throw them away and move on. I will point out that AGAIN they lost clothing. I know that 2 shirts are missing that I sent with them this last time and while going through my clothes someone else's clothes was mixed in with mine. This company was recommended by Allstate. The way it was explained to us, Allstate's policy is that they require all fabric damaged in a fire to be cleaned first. If it doesn't come clean, they will replace it. They also mentioned that Allstate pays for the service. That seemed fair and reasonable. We could get our clothing cleaned quickly and returned to us before we would even have time to buy new. After all, our house was a total loss and we had more important things to do than shop for clothing. We signed the contract with Frsteam, a contract that holds the owner of the clothing responsible for payment. They did the best they could, but we found the only clothing they got clean and didn't still reek of smoke and/or cleaning agents was the clothing made primarily of cotton. Everything else was a total loss. They cleaned all my work boots, but whatever process they used made the soles come loose all the way to the heel. We were left with several piles of clothing and shoes that smelled like smoke and/or chemicals...though they were nicely hung and pressed, dry cleaner style. These were all in the basement of our temporary house making it a reminder of our fire loss every time we walked down stairs. After a week, we pulled all the cotton items from the piles and loaded up 8 large garbage bags with the rest of the shirts, pants, dresses and jackets and put them on the curb for garbage pick up. The bill from Frsteam came, it was over $6,000. Allstate paid it immediately. We had only $40,000 in coverage for contents. Insurance companies do pay for Frsteam's services, from your policy. Our losses added up to over $50,000 for the contents of our home. Allstate paid us $34,000 ($40,000 in coverage minus $6000 for Frsteam) Frsteam made $6000 by going through the motions and saving about 75 items, mostly Jeans, Socks, T-shirts and underwear. We lost everything and are still trying to recover and pay off thousand of dollars of credit card debt. Unless you know that your insurance coverage exceeds your losses by a large percentage, DON'T SIGN A CONTRACT with this company. You will be charged more than you can even imagine. You will be better off throwing the clothing away and using the insurance money to buy other items you lost. Learn how to launder smoke damaged clothing for your cottons and find a local dry cleaner to make an attempt if there is anything else you feel you want to try and save. Chances are you will spend more than the item is worth trying to clean it. Frsteam charged us $6000 to clean about $5000 worth of clothing. We threw out $4000 worth and had to replace it anyway on our credit cards. The combination of Frsteam and Allstate made a horrible house fire where we lost our dog and all our possessions even worse. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Our insurance company recommended this company after some water damage we had, but I would not recommend them. I had a very nice jacket that they was suppose to take care of and when it came back I was heartbreaking. That's about all I will say except beware if you want to use them. read more

Updating my review from 1 star to 3. They still have bad customer service. They gave me a return date for all my stuff and then forgot to put it on their calendar. They never contacted me. I had to fight with them to get my stuff back and it took twice as long as they promised. Their lack of communication and mishandling of my return dates made me worry that my clothes would be mishandled too. This was NOT the case. My stuff is back now and the cleaning was done wonderfully. Everything was clean, packaged nicely, it was beautiful. I am sensitive to perfumes and my clothes smelled clean but didn't have a perfume or chemical smell. We had some tricky items... a very expensive, wool kilt, a leather "Indiana Jones" style hat, a wool pea coat. They were handled with care and came back clean and in great shape. I had a special, sentimental, stuffed animal that I should have held out, but it slipped my mind. It has a battery and talks and light up. I was very worried this would get washed and the electronics might not work, but it came back clean and working. I was VERY happy. Their cleaning was top notch, 5 stars. read more

I got a rug cleaned by FRSTeam due to a flood i had in my house. They originally told me it would take only 2 weeks but I didn't get my rug back until a month and a half later after my house was already put back together. I called several times to check on it and they said they would call me back with an update which they never did. It was very frustrating to work with them. Thank you! Knock off 1 star for Angela calling me and telling me I owed a $500 deductible to them. She had no invoice on what it was going to cost to clean my clothes! I even received an attitude when I questioned her. Almost as if she were a bill collector. I called my insurance company who stated that she should have never made that call to the customer, the invoice, when ready should be given to them. I did not owe anything to them. I recently had a fire in my apartment and needed my clothes cleaned and many of them right away, and FRSTeam did an unbelievable job of getting me all my suits and work clothes the next day and did a great job with all the clothes and were able to deal with the insurance directly. They went above and beyond when we had extreme water damage at our house. FRSTeam helped us save, clean and store our damaged items when we had a burst toilet pipe damaging our home and belongings. I accidentally put my 18 year old daughter's basketball shoes into a bag that went on the FRSTeam van with all of our belongings to be cleaned on the night of my daughter's high school basketball championship game. When I realized the shoes were missing and that our daughter might not get to play in her last game, I texted the woman who was helping us, Veronica. Even though she was 45 minutes away from us, she turned around on Friday night, in the rain, in traffic, and came back to give my daughter her basketballs shoes so she wouldn't have to forfeit her game. We had a house fire in 2020. FRSTeam was assigned to to remove, evaluate and clean our textiles and electronics by our insurance company. Although the staff was very friendly, the quality of service was subpar and I would not recommend them. To start with, FRSTeam broke some of our appliances and electronics, either by mishandling them when picking up or when inspecting our property. Also, as part of the process we were instructed to view textile items on a web page and decide whether or not to have them cleaned. We were told some of our clothing/textiles were not or were likely not salvageable. We asked FRSTeam to clean everything. When our items were returned, it became clear not all of our clothing/textiles had been cleaned. A good portion of our clothing FRSTeam said was not salvageable had been cleaned and was in good condition. But some of our clothing/textiles had not been cleaned, and while still wet, been sealed in plastic bags and put into boxes to get moldy. So from FRSTeam we received a mix of cleaned and moldy, ruined clothing/textiles, and broken and working electronics. As if the fire wasn't enough. read more

Do not use this company. After a fire at our house the vendor that cleaned up sent our linens and curtains to FRSTeam. Communication with FRS Team is not satisfactory. They told us the insurance company had not yet paid them. After emails and calls they finally called to tell us they had been paid and would arrange delivery. After no delivery they again claim the insurance company has not yet paid. They are obviously disorganized and unreliable. Run from this vendor. read more

I had a terrible fire in our building beginning of Feb 2019-I am a claim professional and was really taken back about what happened to me and how people treated me during this event. One person always come to mind in a very supportive and positive light-FRSTEAM Shelby. This great guy was kind, and clear on support and directions of what would be done with my property. Shelby was my first responder 4 days post fire I felt my belongs were in good hands. He has a clear sincere loyalty to his profession and organization he works for. I had a fire in my home in September and have been impressed with the company since day 1 so much so that I am joining Yelp in order to review them. They came in and gathered all of the items that needed cleaning and were made of cloth. I had some of my clothes back within a few days. Even more impressive; however, was the kindness, compassion and understanding of everyone, especially Chris and Martine, but also the office staff when calling. Chris was especially kind in trying to get a couple of my kid's, who are very young, beloved items back to us asap. And as we have tried to finish things up these past months Martine has had EXEMPLARY customer service. Seriously, she should get a bonus as she represents her company so well. They delivered items to the hotel, to my work and went out of their way to work with me. If an item didn't seem clean, they were honest in what might work, trying to clean it again or honestly assessing damage with integrity. They really tried to make the best of a difficult situation where some treasured items were lost. A+ read more
