This company remains terrible b/c whomever Holly is representing themself as the owner also does absolutely nothing to resolve outstanding claims as I have yet to hear from Holly or anyone from the Hayward location; please run and take your business elsewhere.

    Original estimate.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had a fire at my house and was referred to this restoration company by my insurance. They have terrible communication and astronomical price gouging, making an already horrible situation even worse. 1. When the representative came to give a quote she walked around, took pictures, etc and said it would be about $10,000 to pack up, clean and pack back my entire house. Now I know this was an estimate, so I was ready for it to be a few thousand more. When the work on my house was done and I requested my belongings to be brought back, they came to me with a bill of $68,000!!! Almost 60,000 over the estimate!! (see photos) There was ZERO communication in between letting me know of the discrepancy and whether or not I would like to continue. They refused to give my belongings back unless the amount was paid. The price to store and "clean" my items ended up costing more than the total cost for the structural damage of my house. Ridiculous. 2. Communication was HORRIBLE. They would not return phone calls or emails. I even contacted the branch manager and left several voicemails, but nothing. This caused things to stretch out WAY longer than necessary causing me to pay more money for storage. 3. I went through 3 representatives in my time working with them. Each time I had to reexplain the problems/concerns I was having and start all over in trying to solve them. Apparently they do no communicate with each other either, which was very frustrating and time consuming. 4. They misquoted how long packing up/unpacking would take. Sending 2 people to do a full house packout because "they had other jobs and not enough staff." 5. And as if that wasn't enough. They lost boxes and boxes of my items as well as damaged several items. Had I not had photos of everything and called them out on it they would have let it be. This was the WORST experience on top of an already devastating house fire. I would NOT recommend FRSTeam at all. My recommendation is to take the insurance pay out, rent out a storage while your place is being fixed, clean as much as you can yourself and just buy everything else new. You will save yourself a major headache and money. I have shared my horrible experience with FRSTteam with everyone I have talked to as well as my insurance company in hopes that no one has to deal with the unprofessionalism and absurdity of this company like I did.

This shirt used to be white. It's now beige. I will have to clean it again.

Back in October of 2019, I had a fire at my place (neighbors fault). I was lucky in that nothing got burnt, but all of my clothes were smoke damaged. It's crazy how many solicitors will show up the day of the fire and automatically offer their services. Businesses like these are making money so they can charge it up to insurance. Anyone who's gone through flood or fire will know *exactly* what I'm talking about. It's almost like a feeding frenzy. I was recommended to this company from Giuliani's construction-- Junior to be exact who I had a horrific experience with. It's almost a year later and after all is said and done, I wish I could give this place 5 stars. But I can't. These are the reasons why: 1) My bill was over $7,000 and had it not been for my insurance contesting this, they would have tried to make more money than they should have. My insurance agent was able to negotiate it down. I'm all about fair and honest practices and after going through a fire, it's so important to me that you don't get taken advantage of. Been there, done that. 2) As you can see from my pictures, several of my blouses that were once "white" are now a beige color. I have no idea why this happened but Dustyn Chance (the rep) assured me that they would take extra care to read the labels and clean them appropriately. On my end, it doesn't look like it. My white hat also came back with this odd brown stain that goes from the top of the cap all the way down to the bill. My cream colored drapes also have a stain that was left on there. Why would a fabric restoration company that claims they are going to be "meticulous" about cleaning your clothes/ draperies let something like this happen?? 3) When it came time to deliver the clothes back once they were cleaned, Dustyn Chance was an hour late from the time we set up the appointment to have him come. He apologized and I was okay with it but because of that, the delivery had to be rescheduled because I had to go to work. Punctuality is key. 4) Just be mindful that if they clean the draperies, they will not install if they have to drill anything back into the framework. Once my contractors finished up the windows and repainted, they covered up all the holes from the blinds and used caulking to seal it off. Dustyn was supposed to come back and re-install the draperies + blinds. Because they cannot drill back into the framework (as per company policy), I told him not to bother coming. I had it installed myself. I am sure there are other Fabric Restoration companies who are much better than this- If you have gone through a flood or fire and need help finding a company to do this for you, I hope this review can help somehow.

My condo building underwent a fire in July 2020. First team went in hired by somebody in the condominium hierarchy and removed all my electronics to repair. Now I'm trying to get many of these items to work. Some are ok, but many are not. It took more than two years to get back into my condo unit, so the warranty was no longer good. The-items sat in storage which was a conditioned storage for the time I waited for my condo to be done. My vacuum was not thoroughly dried so it was filled mold. I called the company never to get a return call. My situation was unusual because how long it took for the rebuild. After the fire and without me given a choice to be present, they went through my home without me being present. Just beware and be sure to be present when these companies run through your home.

Modern Company Scammer, worst customer service, over charging the insurance company, charging me hourly to retrieve my belongings, lost some of my stuff. My recommendation is have your things total and request a check from the insurance company. You can buy new things and it will save the insurance company money.

I've never had to use a Water Restoration service before so I browsed trusty Yelp and reached out to Fire & Water Damage. Glad fellow Yelp friend Karen W gave a glowing review! They seem to answer calls 24/7 and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Mike was main point of contact and gave us an estimate and scope of work. Basically, they had to tear out the drywall and insulation from the wet area, dry and dehumidify the area for days, and then put on moon suits and remove any mold. We were able to have 2 techs come on a Friday and then let the dehumidifier run over the weekend. We also had to tear out our upper cabinet since the top was damaged by water. On Monday, they came back to remove any leftover mode and patch things up. The total price came in well below the estimate, which is a huge plus. Very happy with the service and efficiency. If you ever suspect you have water damage from leaks, call these guys and get the problem resolved to ensure mold doesn't form or worst, spread. Note that their services are purely restorative - they'll dry out the water-damaged area and get rid of all the mold. You'll need to hire a plumber first to stop the leaks and then afterwards, a drywall contractor to patch up the holes with insulation and new drywall followed by texturing and painting.

After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional.
