Flood Rescue has taken care of our home twice now in the last few years. The first time we had a small creep leak (behind the shower wall) turn serious very quickly. They professionally assessed and repaired everything between the upper floor shower and the lower floor ceiling, to the point that we can't even tell there were at one point door-sized holes in both the walls and ceiling. Second time around they replaced an eroded underground pipe to bring our plumbing back in order and eradicate the no longer mystery odor. Wish I had checked there and not just licensing board. update: this company's license has been suspended for not having workers compensation insurance. we learned after the fact that they performed work on our property after their insurance had expired. Reminder to all: check all the details at BBB, CSLB, and 1-star reviews for genuine red flags before signing or agreeing to anything with any contractor. 1. High-pressure sales. This is water remediation, so it tends to be a "do it now!" situation anyhow, but they push hard. 2. NO estimate provided, even on repeated requests and calls from insurance 3. Terrible communication: voicemail never got through, texts only occasionally responded to, information requested and promised was never delivered. 4. Bad on timing--failed to show to pick up equipment not once but twice. 5. Invoice sent to insurance company was hugely excessive, included services that were not performed, labor hours well beyond those provided on-site, materials that weren't used, and rates well above industry average. Invoice was NOT provided to the owners at all. 6. Billing consisted of presenting a single-value bill (no detailed invoice), with due date and billing date the same. 12 hours later: $35 "late" fee applied to "past due" bill. Every day: additional late fees. Hard to get in touch with billing and they are also just a hired billing firm; impossible to get in touch with project manager or any management at the company. read more

We asked Flood Rescue 911 to help with the plumbing leak and mold issue in our house. Our 3-floor house had one of the junctions fail in the water supply line, which caused a small leak that turned into mold in the ceiling drywall. They sent the project manager Aiden over with a thermal sensor to quickly confirm the issue, and got to the mitigating work. They brought heavy-duty drying equipment (dehumidifiers, blowers) to make sure that the ceiling is dry, coordinated with the plumbing and general contractors to fix the issue completely. If I could, I'd leave lower then a 1 star. Absolute scam, run the other way! Don't even engage. I was referred to them by a plumber for a water leak. I was desperate because the emergency happened over the weekend, they came to take a look without me checking them out online. Which I totally regret. The project manager Eddy Ngo came in, looked professional and almost fooled us with a device saying the water damage is severe and we need to tear down the roof of bathroom. He started his dehumidifier and left it to run overnight. I decided to look them up online and saw an F rating on Better Business Bureau along with bad Yelp ratings. I called in another plumber who fixed the issue within 30mins for $400. When I told them that I'm not going forward with their company and asked them to come get the dehumidifier the response was really aggressive and unprofessional. The person started cussing me out on the phone and hanging up on me multiple times. They look professional but they are big scammers who will upsell you for no reason. They are a dishonest business and should never be hired by anyone. read more

Very disappointing experience. Communication was poor from start to finish. I was repeatedly told someone would call me back, but I often received no follow-up and had to keep chasing them for answers. They installed the drying equipment and later removed it, but I did not see the regular on-site monitoring I expected during the drying process. I also had concerns about the final mitigation report because the monitoring data showed conditions steadily improving, even though another leak occurred in the area during that same period. When I asked for clarification, getting clear and consistent answers was extremely difficult. For a water damage mitigation company, I expected much better communication, transparency, and documentation.
