Bacon cheeseburger and fries were good. Your basic griddle fried burger but very good. The fries were fantastic, crispy but still a little soft inside, they looked like homemade fries. Stopped by here today for an ice cream and ended up with an entire meal plus a cone! Hubby and I both got the cheeseburger meal. The bun was soft, the meat tasted good, and the crisp and fresh veggies on top made it that much better. The fries were tasty and the portions were plenty big enough! We were stuffed by the time we left, but since we had driven out for ice cream, we had to each get one before we left. We got two small dipped cones. If these suckers were the small size, I don't even wanna know what the large one looks like! Three big dollops of soft serve were neatly stacked one on the other. I could only eat half before I felt like dying. Thank god for hubs. Always there to save the cone! The area was clean, trash was kept to a minimum, and the new tables and fans are a nice touch. There is also indoor seating with license plate decor that makes a fun thing to see. Everyone working seemed friendly and happy and had no problem talking to customers. Ok... I can see why fellow Yelper give Jimtown low ratings for price structure. I mean the difference between a single burger and a double is $5! Especially when the patties are the size as In-n-Out's. However, Jimtown does have a great deal: A Burger or Cheese Burger, fries, and 16 oz drink for only $4.99. If you want a light lunch them Jimtown is the place to go. As for the food. I found it very enjoyable. I would of ordered a double if I did not have to pay $5 more. Food is incredibly over priced - $16.75 for 1 hamburger, 1 bacon cheeseburger, 1 small fry and 2 "large" 16oz drinks. The price would have been OK if the food was decently sized - but the hamburgers are smaller than a McDonald's kids burger. Service was horrible - and had the same yelling, "telling" us that there are no substitutions on combo orders and then "telling" us that the 16 oz drinks are a large. Hmmmm....strike two. Very pricey for overrated burgers. They had everybody's order out before mine even though I ordered way before they did. I asked for a kids meal cheeseburger and got charged a regular cheeseburger and a separate charge for a small fry. I could have saved $5 if they took the time to listen to my order. I understand that it was busy and especially during lunch but if they don't take the time to get their orders right, there's no point in getting food there. $35 for two meals. Dumb. I am so disappointed. JTF has been the place we always stop at when we would come visit Grandma, a corn dog and a chocolate malt. The new owners have changed everything. The burgers are different, and they don't make corn dogs! I was so bummed when I got to Grandmas, and went to get our traditional pair. The malts are not the same either. Now, I'm not saying what we ordered wasn't all that bad. The burger was really good and the chocolate malt was okay. Just super super bummed that I can't get a corn dog and a chocolate malt from Jimtown Frosty. As far as what we got the other day, it was alright, the cheeseburger was decent, and the malt was decent as well, just not as good as it was in the past. My boyfriend and I had never been there and were very curious about what it was like since we always see the parking lot full. As soon as we got there, the woman working immediately asked us if we were ready to order. While looking over the food, the prices were very high and seemed a little overpriced but we hoped that the food would make up for it. The woman sort of pushed our tray at us and then left. The food was NOT worth the price and you could get better quality at Burger King or McDonald's. This place was amazing.. I moved to the area 2 years ago and this was my first time here.. the hamburger meal which included a heap of home made fries and a coke was $5.50 and totally worth it. Small frosty was $2.40 but was huge.
