My mom and daughter were looking at the quart menu and "oohing and ahhing" over the flavors when we were abruptly asked, "Are you buying a quart or scoops?" My dad politely asked her to repeat herself, and she responded, "DO YOU WANT A QUART OR SCOOPS?" When we said we wanted scoops, she bluntly replied, "Then you're looking at the wrong menu. This is the menu for scoops." We were the only customers in the shop, yet we were repeatedly rushed with, "What would you like? What would you like?" I eventually had to tell her that we simply needed a moment to decide. When I ordered a junior scoop of cookies and cream in a cup, she snapped, "In a cup or a cone?!" even though I had just said "in a cup." Before I could even finish my order, she was already asking, "What else? What else can we get for you?" The entire interaction felt unnecessarily pushy and rude. The funniest part? Her attitude completely changed once she noticed my incredibly kind father had still left a tip. Suddenly, we got a smile and a "thank you." The ice cream itself was just okay, but the service was what really ruined the experience. This is a place my family and I have driven past for years on our way to our cabin, and we were excited to finally stop. Unfortunately, we won't be back. If you're serving people who are likely passing through, a simple greeting, a little patience, and basic courtesy would go a long way.

Twain Harte Creamery is located in downtown Twain Harte across from The Rock. Parking is usually street unless you get lucky and are able to park in front of a business. The inside is small, but homey. It could also use a deep clean, but the really fun is outside though. They have a nice patio area with a play area and jump house for the kids. You must buy something at the Creamery in order to partake in the fun though. We got in line and it seemed to more a bit slow -- we finally got to the register and ordered one Horchata Milkshake. Once we paid, the young kid at the register said it would be a little while before our order came out. As expected, it did take a while for our Milkshake to come and it was not worth the wait. Overall, I know I am a city girl and used to the more fast paced life so I will give them a little grace, plus their staff were friendly and doing their best. Rating is 3.5 stars! I'm sure we'll be back next time we are in Twain Harte!

If you're looking for a tasty burger in Jamestown, CA, look no further than Frosty! I recently stopped by and got a double cheeseburger and fries, and it was simply delicious. The beef was juicy and perfectly cooked, the cheese was melty and flavorful, and the bun was soft and fresh. The fries were equally impressive - crispy and seasoned just right. I couldn't get enough of them! The restaurant is a walk-up-to-the-window type of place, but there is a spot to sit inside and a table outside. It's a great little spot to stop and eat while in town. I recently visited Frosty and tried their banana-strawberry shake, pineapple-vanilla shake and chocolate sundae. All three were delicious! The customer service was excellent, with friendly young staff working the counter. The location is great, situated on a nice corner with plenty of parking and options for both outside and inside dining. A memorable moment was when a customer came in with a wooden sign to show appreciation for the burgers his family had enjoyed the other day.
