Was doing an inspection in Pone Valley and stopped by this unassuming shack for lunch. I ordered a cheese burger and a Diet Coke the burger was awesome. I was so impressed the price and the quality were fantastic. While I was there other people were there getting ice cream shakes and cones and it looked so good. Abhorrent wait times, probably due to the lack of staff. We waited at least 40 minutes in line to place our orders. There were only 6 people in front of us, and the time we waited was comparable to that of a sit down restaurant. Burger is supposed to have mustard. I went to the male cook and he stuck his fingers in my burger and moved around the ingredients and said "there it is " ! Like a dot of mustard. Been supporting Frosty Burger for a long time, even though it is more than a 2 hour round trip for us. Arrived on 9/21/2021 around 1:30pm to find the place completely dark and closed, despite there being an open sign and the hours showing 11am-6pm. Although I really wanted to like Frosty Burger, they have given me no choice but to leave them only two stars. Don't be confused by their 1950's diner exterior. Even though it looks like a old fashioned burger and malt shop, Frosty Burger charges prices that you would expect to see in the year 2050! They are really expensive. And they are not open all the time. Just when they expect the suckers to roll into town. The staff was nice and the food was average. As an example of their pricing, the fries were $4.05 for an order. They get an extra star for crinkle cut fries, but they are still asking too much for an regular sized order of fries. Milkshakes are $5.00 a piece. Their fish sandwich combo at $9.24 is downright criminal. And once you step into the "burger combo" side of the menu, you may need to apply for a small loan. My advice would be to stay hungry and go elsewhere, especially if you have a family to feed. Sorry Frosty Burger! read more

I took my grandkids here, we were at the descanso, patade Amd fair July 7th, 2018... it was hot, the fire in alpine, took out the phone lines, internet, as well as cell services We came to pine valley, to replenish, and check on our loved ones, let loved ones know we were safe..... Great burgers and ice cream/sundaes. Nothing else is off the charts good though. They just heat up wings, in the microwave I believe and they don't do well at that. I got wings once and they were cold, mentioned it and they replaced them, with another Bach of cold wings. Frosty Burger is a roadside shack off of the highway in Pine Valley. The shack is in the vintage style, with original Betty Boop art and what looks like original or early signage. The menu is a bit confusing. I say this only because there is an overhead menu, then afterward, you see the good stuff randomly posted on pieces of paper around the service windows. The staff was seemingly impatient with people, and a bit brash. When it was our turn at the window, the gal was nice enough, but very matter-of-fact. We waited a pretty long time for a cheeseburger, a corndog, onion rings and a soda. Everything was hot and flavorful. The bag of onion rings was ginormous. The value for the price was fantastic. The outside seating area was a hot mess. I don't know if it is ever cleaned or maintained. There seemed to be years of crusted-on condiments and schmegma on the tables and on the ground. The trash overflowed and the ground was littered. I wouldn't even sit down to wait for my food, for fear of what was on those benches. It was vile. I would stop here again for a quick bite if I happened to be in the area, I just wouldn't recommend eating on-site. read more

The service at this place is so bad. The people running the front and back have no idea what they're doing. We been waiting and waiting for a shake. Actually two shakes. One came up after about 20 minutes. We asked about the other shake and they said, oh we forgot about that one. I remember ordering hamburgers and fries there about five years ago. And swearing I would never go back to the place. I forgot. And here we are, still waiting for a shake. Nobody in line. So. My daughter has been waiting for a half hour for her shake.
