Fry sauce

There is nothing better than the only place to stop for lunch being freaking FANTASTIC! We stopped in at the Frostop Drive-in in Idaho on our way back from Montana, and it was such a good idea. They were moderately busy but still great service. The shakes came out quick, and he loved his Huckleberry shake. We both got the bacon cheeseburger basket, and it was LOADED with super crispy bacon. The bun was so good, and all the veggies were super fresh. The fries were perfectly crisp, and their fry sauce is pretty good, too. But honestly, the best part - the price! Their burger baskets (burger fries and drink) are all under $14.... the plain burger is even less. The stalls are a bit narrow, but we fit just fine in our big vehicle. The bathroom was teeny but well kept and clean.

The food was excellent! Good service, too. We had the western bacon burger and the pastrami burger. We also had the huckleberry shake. It was one of the best I ever had.

We wanted a snack after coming back from seeing the Mesa falls. Huckleberry shakes hit the spot. The Fresh berries and a wafer cookie on top of shake were a lovely treat. The friendly server came out to take our order and offered us a pup cup. My dog had never had one before , so why not. Omg , she made it so special and it had bacon strips on top. Dewey was in heaven. We all had treats. We loved the fun Halloween decorations outside and the inside was warm and inviting on this chilly day. We will be back !

Classic American drive in- what a gem! Server was so sweet. And those spice potatoes are amazing!

Good burger! We stopped in for lunch and it was really good! We pulled in and ordered right from our car: 1 hamburger, 1 cheeseburger, 1 cheeseburger basket (with tater tots and a drink), and a corn dog kids meal. The total was just over $30. The burgers tasted great and were made to order! The tots were pretty basic and the French fries were yummy!

Not a fan of spring mix on a hamburger. Stale bun. The large root beer float had little ice cream and the ice cream was icy in texture. Fries were great crispy.

The food was decent but nothing special. Not many options around so a solid choice if your hungry and in the area.

This place is delicious. Our CarHop was amazing she was quick and friendly and fun. My niece had shrimp and chicken that she said was amazing. And I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries also amazing. We both had root beer floats and they are to die for. Recommend highly getting a root beer float. We came in and off time so it was not busy at all.

Frostop Drive In is located on Highway 20 with a large root beer sign in the corner, you can't miss it. On our recent road trip, my husband, our little girl dog and I were driving towards Twin Falls and happened to see this on the road and decided to make a U turn and come back to check this place out and also get a photo with the giant root beer (my husband is a big fan of roadside attractions, which helps to break up long road trips). We parked and took a few photos of our little girl with the giant frosty mug and then an employee came up to us and asked if we would like to order anything. After looking over the menu, we ended up getting: Small Huckleberry Shake, $5.29 after tax- Wow this is definitely a pretty large size for a small, which is perfect for sharing (but the employee did tell me that they also sell a child size shake, which I probably would have preferred). This shake was more like scoops of ice cream that we ate with a spoon. I liked the sweet flavor of the huckleberry and also liked that there were pieces of huckleberry pieces in it. This shake is also served with 2 wafer cookies. My husband and I both liked this shake (our little girl surprisingly didn't try it after she sniffed it and moved her head away. She really loves ice cream but I she isn't a fan of berries in general). Service was friendly but wait time was longer than expected. When my husband had asked another employee about our shake, that employee said they are working on it. Eventually a few minutes later, the same employee that had taken our order earlier came out with our order and apologized for the wait. She said they had got hit with several customers all of a sudden. Please note that we came last Friday, around 11:45 am. This was a nice find on the road and I liked my shake but would probably order a child size if I was to come back. The menu is filled with some great diner food and I would probably want to try some of their other items if I was to pass by this place again.

The owner works so hard, and you can tell she truly cares about her customers. She is always kind, welcoming, and makes sure you have everything you need. We've been coming here for about two years now, and every visit has been consistently good. We actually heard about this place from the teenagers who love coming here on their school lunch breaks -- and they were right! It's a hidden gem with great food and even better hospitality. Highly recommend.

It's telling that the framed review of how good the place on the wall is 10 years old. Big selection of food but none of it seemed appealing. I've been to lots of Mexican places before. But that's personal preference. Only 3 options for vegetarians. Got the Quesadilla with spicy pork and the pork was overcooked. The pork and lettuce tasted burnt and chewy. Gross aftertaste and it was obvious the food was all cooked from the same pan. Vegetarians were served meat and when told the waiter, was extremely dismissive and angry when told. Said it was mushroom rather than accepting the mistake. Turns out the waiter was the owner, which explained how defensive she got. Cross contamination like this could be dangerous. Extremely rude behavior, refused to make simple alterations to food, angrily dumped our plates on the table, trash talked us when confronted, and accused us of tampering with the food to create complaints. I liked the horchata, but everyone else who ordered it didn't like it. Everyone else's food seemed fine. But the treatment and the food some of us got wasn't good. Everyone left their food on the table because her behavior left us all uncomfortable and we decided to leave. I don't know what's going on in her life, but this wasn't an appropriate way to run a business. Reading all the reviews dating back years, it seems she's always been like this though.
