They helped us out and we were able to redeem it. We got a coffee and a banana bread for items with the admission price. They recommended us not to take the food in since they have a cat that's food obsessed heehee. We loved petting the kitty's and laying with them. They have some energized cats and some chill ones. They have elder cats and younger kittens. It was a lovely experience to pet the cats and give them some love. Maybe someday we will adopt one! I'd return!!

Each reservation cost about $24.00. That includes an hour of time with the cats, and a drink/snack from the café per person. My partner got a chai latte, and I grabbed a brown sugar(?) cinnamon roll. Both were very good! Special thank you to the barista for the recommendation and the delicious drink. The play-room itself was very nice, with plenty of seating, toys, and CATS! Even with six other guests in the same hour, there was plenty of everything to go around. As with any group of animals (and people), each had their own personality and preferences. JC stayed perched on the palm tree and loved to get pet. The older Bengal cat didn't like being touched, but was a joy to watch. Tatiana (pictured on the table) was slow to warm up to us, but loved to play with the cat dancer. There were about ten cats altogether. The employee inside clearly cares about each cat. He explained the rules clearly, shared the names and habits of each kitty, and was a pleasant guide. Thanks for a great start to our afternoon! See you again soon.

Wait outside on the sidewalk (no exterior seating) and someone will come to take you inside. Do not ring the door bell. The theme is to take it slow. Each customer typically waits 20-30 minutes to enter as part of how they do things, even if there is open seating inside. Not sure if they use a timer to space entries but it seems consistent. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

Seating was available inside or outside under some canopied tables on the sidewalk. Two menu sheets, one for food and one for drinks, were posted at the counter. Vietnamese fare like banh mi and coffee were the main offerings. Egg rolls, egg souffles, and pastries were the other food categories. You could also get matcha, coconut clouds, and espressos for beverages. I selected the first of eight banh mi choices which was the House BBQ Cold Cut and a Matcha Mango for a drink. The sandwich toppings were listed as Vietnamese garlic aioli, pickled jalapenos, carrot, daikon, fresh sliced cucumbers, and minced cilantro. If you look at the photo of what I received, it was French bread with pork meat and spread inside. I don't believe any of the veggies were added so a mistake was made by the kitchen. It was also heated too which I have never experienced before for a "cold cut" banh mi. The matcha beverage was made by the barista at the counter. Whole milk was my choice of dairy. A mango puree was placed at the bottom of the cup followed by the layering of the latte and matcha powder. The blend was smooth with a solid matcha flavor. Between my sandwich and drink, I gave a 3.5 star rating for my experience at Hydout Cafe.

Our instructor,…read moreJaclyn, was awesome and led us through a therapeutic, relaxing session focused on mindfulness, meditation, and encouraged us to be in tune with our bodies and focus on areas of stress and also our own goals. She was very accommodating for all yoga skill levels and kitty engagement. My partner has never done yoga before, and said he could follow her instructions with ease, whereas I, a more experienced yogi (used to practice as a kid), still found the experience engaging even if it was a bit simple for my abilities. I love how she said we could opt not to do the yoga at all and just play with kitties if we wanted! After the session was over, we had some time to play with kitties in the lounge and catio. My partner and I both ordered drinks, and Danielle and Pete made them to perfection! A kitten (Aurora or Nesta) also chose to climb into my partner's lap, which was a highlight of our visit. I highly recommend others to try this unique experience -- a cat cafe that provides restaurant quality food & cocktails along with cute, adoptable kitties and awesome yoga instructors Namaste, Jaclyn, we will definitely be back for more!
