Of course it would be yesterday, one of the hottest days, that the breaker controlling my refrigerator and thermostat would go out. I've never had to call an electrician before so I hit up Yelp and started calling and leaving messages. Lee from Frontline called me back within 15 minutes and after some discussion and sending a couple of photos of the breaker in question we set an appointment for this morning. Less than 30 minutes later he called back to let me know one of his guys was finishing up a job a little early and would be able to make it to me yesterday afternoon. Lee made sure to tell me who would be coming and that he wouldn't be in a company vehicle. I really appreciate this because you can't be too careful these days with people coming to your house. Ricci showed up less than an hour later and in less than 30 minutes the breaker was replaced and my fridge and A/C were back running. He didn't even mind answering a few questions for me while he worked. That is a big plus for me because I like knowing what is being done on my house but electrical is completely outside my area. So these guys get a big A+ from me and I know who to call for any future work. read more

I called Frontline about an RG6 cable that I needed re-routed to another room in my house. Lee, the owner, showed up about 25 minutes after the call. I told him I needed to move the router and modem into another room and needed to figure out the best way to run the cable. He checked the attic, the outside connection coming into the house, the garage and other rooms and told me how to do it. And he didn't even charge me. This guy is awesome. Very knowledgeable and most of all, very compassionate. This type of service is very rare in this world. Most contractors just want to see how much they can charge you. We've never hired an electrician before, but definitely needed to when the outlet for our washer was working sporadically. I found Frontline on Yelp and requested a quote on Sunday evening. The very next day, we were contacted and a project proposal was drafted. They were able to have an electrician come out the very next day, Tuesday. I needed three canister lights changed to LEDs. Frontline was very professional through the entire process. They sent email estimates, confirmations, receipts, etc. It took awhile to get the estimate and get the electrician out but everything went smoothly. The estimator arrived on time and so did the Frankie, the Electrician. The work ended up being extremely quick and easy so we overpaid, which is why I took one star off. I think the estimator thought the electrician would need to go up in the attic. Frankie called the office when he finished and got the price reduced a bit since the scope of work ended up to be easier. The lights and dimmer are fantastic and he was great to work with. Despite the pricing confusion, I definitely recommend Frankie and Frontline Electrical. read more

We are very happy with work that Frontline Electrical Services did in our bathroom. They added an additional GFI outlet and replaced the existing outlet. It's great to have two outlets that work well. Gary gave us an estimate first, he arrived on time, was very knowledgable and provided us an estimate via e-mail that afternoon. I've hired this company based on the rating on Yelp, and I have to say I've been very much disappointed. I had a fire in my building in Vallejo and I needed to have the tenants back to their home very urgently. And for this I needed electricity being backed up ASAP Lee asked for $1,200 for structure inspection and instead of that they basically sent me a one page report explaining I had a fire and I needed to pay him an extra $10,000 for another inspection (not including any fixes). I had more information just by watching the news. I don't understand how they have such good ratings, but I do not recommend their services. read more

Well, can't make this short, as I am a customer who previously gave a 5-Star review, and I'm taking back a few stars Lee. After contacting you for your follow-up to correct problems in my attic wiring, wondering what the heck happened, you informed me (after returning from your well-deserved vacay) that you'd been ill, and soon after you were short of staff due to their subsequent illness. I'm saying all this because I am not a hard person to work with and was willing to wait another few weeks for another appointment, which you were willing to do after I called you again. And then, I never recieved a call, weeks went by, but no follow-up, no call and no new estimate to correct a potentially hazzardous wiring problem in my attic. I've had 2 other contractors tell me it is un-safe as you left it sort-of up in the air, dangling with just a rudimentary fix. My suggestion to you and those in your company is, that if you don't want the small jobs, just say-so, I've had other people in the trades do so, and I was able to move-on. My other project, a chandellier which needed hanging and the loose box in the attic that you recommended I secure better before you'd wire and hang the light, has since been hung. I waited, again for weeks to hear that you were returning, because I thought you did good work and were dependable. This I can no longer say. A month ago I made another appointment (in a month advance) for another very busy electrical business, but I'm hoping they will follow-through, and if they can't, at least they'll call and say so. read more

Electrician came out within 2 hours of first call. Choenyi was professional, and quickly diagnosed the problem. Turned out to be an issue with the solar inverter, but with a good description of the issue and plenty of pics, I was able to get the solar contractor out the next day and they were quickly able to understand and address the problem. We were planning a large landscaping project and needed to run 4-20 amp lines into the backyard. Gary came over to provide a free estimate and discuss the project with me. Gary pointed out that I probably didn't need to upgrade my electrical service, that I would probably be better off with a less expensive sub-panel. He offered to calculate my current and available load based on all my needs. In the end, Gary was right. I had plenty of current. I just needed a sub-panel to fit more breakers. Juan and Ricci came over to install the sub-panel. They listened carefully as I explained about the project. The positioned the sub-panel in a convenient place. Contacted Frontline to perform some electrical work in a new home we bought. Two electricians came out and did a good job. Installed a dedicated circuit, added an outlet in master bathroom, installed GFI on outlet and ran new electrical in our garage. Person making appointment on the phone could be improved as it wasn't very friendly. The technicians worked hard. Overall good work and done right but customer experience can be improved. read more

Frontline Electrical Services installed our new TESLA wall connector. From the first inquiry to city inspection, Frontline was prompt, professional and thorough. The company answered or returned phone calls quickly and followed through on all their commitments. Installation day started on time and Frankie worked most of the day in our garage despite the record heat. We were particularly impressed with how he finished the job by repairing the drywall holes created in order to install the wiring as well as the clean-up when he was finished. While Frontline would have gotten the city permit for an additional cost, we had secured the city permit ourselves. This process was easy and considerably cheaper since Frontline was not required to make an additional trip for the inspection. The follow-up inspection went off without a hitch.
