Called Frontier and was offered 3 mbps service. Signed up with Frontier after being told that their offer of 3 megs per second would be fine for our uses. We use our internet for streaming video, such as Netflix and Stars, I play a silly game on my phone and my wife goes to Pinterest and other such things. Well, we soon found that the streaming video would constantly stop to buffer. The system put this silly round circle on the TV screen and you would wait...and wait...for the video to continue...absolutely unacceptable and not what we were promised. My wife's Pinterest worked...kind of...but it would not put any pictures on her screen, which is the kind of the point of the whole thing. My phone game would freeze so I lost every game competition I played. Frontier was anything but fine for our uses. On Saturday morning, about 12 hours after beginning Frontier service, I got their tech support on the line. They said we had the 3 meg service we were promised, and our area did not have a faster service so I would have to live with it. Well, that was it for me. What they promised was not what we got, so I spoke to the retention dept. They said, you got the 3 megs you were promised so you have to pay your bill. I attempted to explain my situation and the promises made before signing up. They did not care...AT ALL! I explained that I ran a business for 30 years and the few times I sold something that did not live up to the promises I would double over giving my apologies, replacements, or money back. Once again, they stated, "we understand, but you must pay your billing statement because you signed up for 3 megs and your system is working at 3 megs." They cared not about the promises given or that their system would not provide the service we needed. They have the threat of collections at their disposal...and I was soon to be in their sites, so now I await the upcoming battle. After not delivering on their promises and less than a days use, they want me to pay for a month plus an installation fee for a total of $50.00. I will not pay. read more

Be careful of Frontier's low cost internet service offers. I've experienced the slowest speed of any provider I've had in the past...it reminds me of the old "dial up" when internet first started...the customer service is also questionable...I'm still waiting on hold... it went from 10 minute hold time to 15 minutes within a second...since being a customer, I've had to call them many times and with each call they push their bundle packages for over $200..."buyer beware"...they finally offered me their highest speed...it will be interesting to see how fast is their fastest...not a fan of frontier...seeking other options... since I have to give a star, of course it's a 1 but in reality, it is a very negative rating...ask as many questions upfront or you'll be stuck in a bogus contract with outdated internet speed... read more

This is the worst experience with any company. They started out by losing to my 18 year old daughter. Tech told my daughter they needed to put phone lines into our home, and it would cost at least 400.00. Well the tech didn't realize we had a phone the day before, we were not starting service, we were switching service. . Then on our 2 nd Instagram date, that I made sure to be home for, the tech told me I could not even get their service due to location if my home. Now the hassle begins, its been almost 2 months , about 7 calls 45 minutes in duration,just trying to have my deposit returned to me. Here it is almost 2 months into this, and I'm still trying to get my deposit back,which they had no problem with drawing within minutes. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! read more

Good luck staying in business when Starlink comes online. Every month-to-month customer will jump ship as soon as they can. You really should treat long term customers better. 50/50 speed for $55/mo for current customers while offering new customers 500/500 for $40/mo. See the problem there? First let me start by saying I started with Verizon over 10 years ago, and never had a problem with their customer service. Ever since frontier has taken over we've had nothing but issues from day one! They tried charging us 3X the amount we were paying with Verizon. After numerous phone calls and representatives not knowing what they were doing, Frontier had to open up an investigation. After listening to the recorded phone calls, they finally resolved it in our favor after finding out we were telling the truth. Now our two-year contract is up and we contacted them again dreading the same thing happening all over again. They reassured us that it wouldn't. Sadly, not to our surprise we received our first bill and sure enough they messed up AGAIN. The bill was 2x the amount after stating our bill would increase by $5. You would think your representatives would know what they're doing after two years... because the excuse the first time around was that frontier didn't know what they were taking on from Verizon! read more

Worst fuckjn service they installed my inter cable at home and worked for 2 days and charge for the whole month plus they charge installation. Then I had too be on there ass too come and check the internet and keep charging the bill knowing my internet wasn't working. Someone came out and they said the installed the modem in the wrong room then the switched it and game me a fucking stupid excuses saying that they would send someone never fucking came. And then I called for Serivce agin and they still didn't come they ended up coming out after I had too talk too then for 4hrs on the phone so someone could fix my internet and it worked few weeks and went down agin then I. All back in and I talked too service rep and he was fucking dick didn't let me speak too a manger I did talk shot too then but I don't recommend this piece of shit Serivce worst Serivce . Called them today to see what kind of plans they offer as they're one of the isp for my area and spoke to a Wes and all I can say is WOW! They're really pushy trying to get you to sign up with them that day and keep comparing their plans to spectrum. They wanted to run a credit check and have me sign up when all I wanted to do was some research on plans and see if they can recommend some other compatible routers and modems other than their own that has terrible performance reviews. Also if you get your own router/modem as long as it's compatible with other isp you can take it with you and not pay for another new modem/router. But frontier was pushing their own router and modem as they say they're able to provide technical support if there's a problem. Well they have the worst reviews and rating among providers for customer service and support so it would be moot to expect help from them should there be a problem with the router or modem. I understand Wes was trying to make a sale during the call but he wasn't listening and kept asking what the point was of calling and not signing up when their plans are better than spectrums. The point is I'm doing research on isp providers and plans before I need to purchase service out there! You being pushy, aggressive and not listening lost Frontier a potential customer. That is not how you make a good impression or future sale. And frontier if you see this review get it together and step up your after care customer service and sales training. You ratings and reviews in those categories are a total shame. read more
