I had already reached out to the team of "experts" and I was already annoyed that I had to reach out to different phone numbers. So why would I want to waste more time and effort to contact more people (who probably will also fail to help, through other platforms when when FIOS failed me 3 times in customer service and 2 times in knowledge base? Spectrum may not get your speeds but at least they send capable, knowledge, and prepared technicians. Your company has the chance to set a strong foothold in fiber optics and what do you do? So they gotta get guys out here to fix it, it might be another 2-5 days" Which is the most backwards way anyone has ever told me "Your home is not connecting to the service, new cable needs to be run." When we inquired why he couldnt do it since he was the "technician" and he said he jist can't do that. I immediately call to cancel because I dont want to wait another 5 days but low and behold, there is a different number for new customers and existing appointments! But they go to the same call center! Because the call center lady said "I called at the right time to sign up for a great deal!" And then proceeded to ask me to check my email for an order number. I have no internet, it is a new home set up which I told them when I placed the order, I am currently on my cellphone in a place with not great service attempting to get internet and she had the audacity to ask me to go online and check my email? I was shook. When I inquired to her why it wasn't able to be set up she told me I would need to ask the "technician." We decided to switch to frontier communication because a sales person promised us fast speed Internet and great customer service. When the installer came to install the wiring, he crawled into our attic and then proceeded to fall through the ceiling into our bedroom. This happened in December, yet despite almost daily phone calls to frontier they refuse to take responsibility for fixing the ceiling. The installer admitted to the damage and even sent his boss pictures from his own phone of the damage he caused. But all we get is the runaround from frontier. Now 2 1/2 months later we still have a hole in the ceiling Where his foot went through the ceiling and long cracks that extend the length of the whole ceiling. I'm so disappointed in their lack of response. They keep giving us the runaround and nobody will take responsibility or fix the ceiling. Been having an internet problem for about a year now, intermittent internet and phone, customer service sucks horrible, had 2 field engineers come out and look, fixed a wire, they weren't gone too long and the same problem. Any time the weather changes the Internet goes down and sometimes the phone will get static on it. I have been a Verizon customer for years and have always received excellent service. Ever since Frontier took over, I have had nothing but issues. Their billing system is the worst. Apparently, they can raise your rates at any time even though you've signed a contract. Sad to mention their employees are also the worst. I have yet to come across an employee that has any idea what's going on with their system, nor do they care about their customers. I'll be leaving this company sooner than later. If you have a choice do not choose Frontier, you'll be sorry! I even went directly to the President's office and still they did not follow through with what they promised. We had Tmobile 5G iternet and were having some issues with it being slow sometimes, particularly in our bedroom. My wife had some important zoom calls coming up in a few days so I decided to switch to Frontier fiber 500 with a mesh system to cover my whole house. The guy who did the installation was weird. He kept asking my wife for the Chicago cable and the New York cable and saying things like that. He did however leave us with three satelites, even though we only were paying for one. It didn't matter though, because the internet never worked long enough to watch a movie or do anything else. All the Eeros kept turning red. I frantically chatted and called for help. The lady in the Phillipines making 3.00 an hr went through the typical troubleshooting over the phone stuff with no luck. The earliest they could come out was in three days, after my wifes important zoom mtgs. I cancelled the troubleshooting appt and cancelled the service. They wanted to charge me for one month at 69.00 plus a 50.00 restocking fee for service that never worked! I asked the guy I was talking to while cancelling, "You're going to charge me 50.00 restocking fee for service that I had for three days and never worked?" He said he could waive it. I thanked him for that. Now I'm still stuck with the 1st months bill of 69.00. I'm going to go to the Bureau of Consumer Affairs, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, the Better Business Bureau because it just sucks the way they treat people and get away with providing crappy to non existent service. I used to think Frontier was pretty good, but they've lost me forever now. POS company making a ton of money off of US citizens and giving all the work to 3.00 an hr people in other countries while treating us like what we are to them...a source to exploit. We went back to TMobile and they welcomed us back with a 50. discount and told us they were in the process of building two new towers in the Yucaipa area, so our service will be better! How can you go from one provider to another (frontier), who claim their services are better, and experience slower service. Then they want you to upgrade at more expense. Feels like a set up. I am incredibly frustrated with this service already. I have asked for internet service and had an appointment for today. I have been home all day and NOBODY SHOWED UP so I called at 5pm and have been on the phone for over 1.5 hours now speaking to many people between customer service and tech support. They continue transferring me to one another. They continue pointing fingers at once another between customer service and tech support. Here is a warning to all Frontier customers. I decided to cancel my home TV, Internet and Phone service because of their constant practice of billing me for things that were supposed to be included in my service and the bill never being correct causing me many hours on the phone trying to get it corrected only to have the same issue the next month or in most cases a new issue to deal with. After a year of this I decided to cancel my service on the 5th of this month September and go with another service provider. Frontier said I would have to pay them $198.51 a full months service even though I only had their service for 5 days. Frontier said that if I was to use even 1 day I would have to pay for the entire month. SO USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK! The absolute worst! If I could give zero stars I would but the last couple of reps I've spoken to have been really nice. Originally 7 years ago I had service with Verizon for Fios Internet then it automatically switched to frontier..I kept it but years later when I had issues I called their customer service and all of my information was wrong. Name, phone number, had some pin set up that I didn't know so they couldn't help me, I called again later some nice person was finally able to help me so I stayed. Now my internet service has been horrible. I pay for 500mps but my speed test runs 60? Really?! I have gone through 2 routers and multiple technical support calls and the best they can do is 200. Half the time I have to use my data/hotspot to do anything because nothing loads. Today it took 30 mins of online chat JUST to get through my freaking acct information verification. While on chat I called spectrum and got new service. I pick everything up tomorrow I will connect it and call frontier to finally cancel their service. I understand during the pandemic demand is high but then cut ur price! Offer a discount! Paying for something we aren't getting is an absolute rip off. read more

I been with frontier for a little over a year and it's been fine. Internet can be slow, but we were managing. I don't know why but the last week the WiFi has been going down almost every other day! I've called multiple times and they "fix" it and two days later we're back to not having signal. They already sent a tech and it worked then again two days later no signal! What is going on. I have 3 kids all doing online school. One of which gets attendance taken by logging in and she can't do that because we have no internet. I cannot call to trouble shoot my WiFi every two days that seems freaking ridiculous to me. It's been a week of this. And tomorrow will be the 4th time I have to call to get this fixed!! And that's another day my kid will be "absent" from her class meeting with the teacher. Hopefully the teacher will understand. But on frontiers part I'm sorely disappointed. Don't half fix something when you know what's wrong! The person I spoke to flat out told me there was something wrong with the box outside my house. And instead of sending another tech ( because the first one obviously missed it) he just told me to call again if it went down. My 80 year old father has been without phone service for over a week now. Phone calls to 5 different representatives (one of whom was very rude), online chat to review the problem... tech evaluation that says "no problem at home, it's an area outage problem". Back on the phone to a representative today, "there's no area outage listed on the computer". Still no service. He can't call out, can't call in... oh, did I mention we're in a pandemic right now and the governor recommends staying inside over age 65? Being a nurse during these "unfortunate times" I haven't had time to really delve into why my supposed 500 Mbps I pay for running solely a firestick and sometimes a lap top for zoom meetings with family is unable to also connect to my cell phone. I did not receive my first bill and per someone on the phone it's because I enrolled in paperless billing? Also was told that sometimes the first bill "just doesn't make it." But I sure as heck got my second bill with a late fee from my first bill. So sometimes when it "just doesn't make it" they just charge you instead. Also, a $75 installation fee on my first bill. For what? Unsure. Because the guy who "installed" my router literally walked in WHILE ON A PHONE CALL, plugged in the router, then walked out, didn't say a word. THEN my Internet didn't even work and I had to call and be walked through how to set it up myself. What a fraud! According to several reps I was told the guy was supposed to ask if I wanted to set it up myself to avoid the fee. NEVER was asked that. Instead literally plugged it into the wall. So being I've been working a lot, my bad for not investigating why my phone couldn't be connected to my WiFi. Found out about frontiers feature of checking your system to see the actual Mbps running. Super happy 76mbps are working of the supposed 500 I'm paying for. Makes sense. Now have to have someone come out AGAIN. Very inconvenient. Supposedly not being charged. Also had to call back to change my appointment because I teach online the day of the original appt and I can't risk not being able to access because setting up this internet is too hard. And the lady who spoke to me talked down on me as if I inconvenienced their whole schedule. I called maybe 45 minutes after i booked the first appointment so calm down, Karen. Not very important, but I also changed my last name 8 months ago and have tried to change it with this company 5 times now and it still is my previous name. Whatever. I recently moved to the Inland Empire area in California. When applying for water service, the local utility (Eastern Municipal Water District CA) referred me to Frontier Communications. I was familiar with the name Frontier Communications because I had received some of their stock in a spin off from another company and so I agreed to let the water company's representative transfer my call. The stock had been a loser, down 98% and in some form of bankruptcy, and that should have been a warning to me. However Frontier had been doing a lot of advertising in my local area and I figured that I really didn't have a lot to lose by trying their internet service. I was wrong! The service was installed by a person who appeared to me to be the least competent person that I have ever seen install cable and the service was shoddy from the start. I experienced constant outages in the first week. I was calling Frontier daily and the responses from Frontier never resolved or fixed my problems. After about a week of this I thought that maybe upgrading to one of their premium plans might resolve the problems. An appointment was scheduled and I waited hopefully. However the representative never showed up at my home. When I called Frontier about this I was told the the telephone representative had not scheduled the service for my home even though it was a requirement for the upgrade. I asked for another service person to be sent to my home. Well Frontier couldn't do that until at least five days later. I told Frontier that was unacceptable. Then I called another company and they promised to send someone out that day to set up my service with a different internet provider. Next I called Frontier back to cancel my service with them. During my time with Frontier, about one week, I had to call Frontier every day due to service problems. In addition to not getting things resolved my calls were often dropped. I probably made at least three or four calls every day trying to get the problems resolved. It was a disaster! Next came the bill. When I received the bill I called again to complain and ask why I should pay a bill for a service that never worked properly. The billing representatives were no better than the service representatives and calls continued to be dropped. Eventually I connected with one fellow (I believe that his name was Simon) and he reviewed the situation and agreed that the service that I had was not good and that he would request that my bill be waived. He put me on hold while talked to a supervisor. When he came back he told me that he would be able to write off the bill but it would have to be done over two months. At that time my bill was a little over $100 (mostly installation because of the roughly one week period). He told me that he would credit a portion of the bill on that day and that he would credit the balance during the next monthly billing period. Well as far as I know, no credits were ever given and shortly there after the amount of the bill appeared as a deficiency on my credit report. Don't ever deal with Frontier Communications! There is a reason that their stock trades under the symbol FTRCQ at $0.14/share. The Q in the symbol is usually reserved for companies in a stage of bankruptcy. You don't need to deal with a company like this, there are so many other alternatives. read more

I cancelled my service with Frontier on the 12th of the month. They elected to not actually cancel the service until the 3rd of the next month. They charged me for a full extra month. I called several times trying to talk to someone about the extra bill. They refused to talk to me about it only saying that it was charged and they would send me to collections of not paid. I have had no choice but to pay the extra bill for services NOT rendered. My only choice was just to leave bad reviews every where that I can.
