Well, My Mom is at CVG and has been waiting all day for a flight. Frontier keeps going back and forth with their excuses about the weather and mechanical problems and they basically can't get their story straight. So they are talking loud and rude to the people that are delayed and are very disrespectful to the people that are paying their wages, THE CUSTOMER. Not only has my Mom been waiting, she don't drive so she is stuck there. I am 2,000 miles away or I would be there to do something, anything since the "Customer Service" people obviously are CLUELESS when it comes to being helpful to the customer. What else? Oh, yeah...they did not offer anything except a food voucher and the problem with this lanebrained bright idea is that ALL THE FOOD PLACES ARE CLOSED! You guys at Frontier are about a joke, unfortunately no one is laughing except for the jerks that work for Frontier. read more

If only there were a negative star! My granddaughter and girlfriend were scheduled out of CVG @ 6pm 4/14 to Ontario CA, stop in Minneapolis on to Denver for 10 hour layover on to CA, arrival Sunday morning returning Tuesday morning $500 x 2, they had prepaid b&b for 2 nights $360, rental car and concert tickets $236. They checked in on line 2 hours before departure, no problem indicated, fine. I dropped them at airport at 3:55, before I got off airport property the girls called saying flight was cancelled. I turned around, parked at an airport hotel and waited to see what would happen. They claimed weather in Minneapolis, they offered no transfer to another airline even though 4 other airlines had open seats to LA. No refund, no voucher for future flight, nothing. While the girls checked every other airlines for 1.5 hours, they were notified that frontier was going ahead with service to Denver, skirting Minneapolis ( which meant everyone already on the in bound flight plus any passengers in CVG heading to Minneapolis were now dumped in Cinti for days with no hotel or food or compensation). They made it to Denver where they found out they were stuck until Tuesday (the day after the concert) for the next flight to CA or 4...count them FOUR F***ING days till they could get back to CVG. No hotel, no voucher, no food voucher nothing. They spent $125 in Uber, $360 for 4 nights at a Ramada inn Denver plus eating out for 4 days and 2 days lost wages for both girls, total $2895! Bargain my ass! If they flew Delta they would have arrived safely had fun and returned home for total of $1600+. They are the worst! Do not fly with them, if you have to, get flight insurance cause you will get nothing from them. Just saw on news where Minnesota got 12" snow and had wind gusts up to 80 mph so the cancellation due to weather was valid but treatment of passengers and financial loss to passengers is inexcusable! UPDATE:. Just to keep it real. Picked up the girls today at CVG, they finally made it home (and flight landed 17 minutes early). While it took many hours on the phone and demanding time and time again to speak to the person's higher up (pretty impressive for 2-22 year olds, who by the way, were financially able to handle all this on their own without calling home for help!), Frontier finally, FINALLY, refunded the price of the air tickets and the cost of the Ramada inn Denver. They were still out money and a memory, but they made limoncello out of lemons and as they said when I picked them up..."we had a blast!". Very proud of those 2! read more

CVG should kick out airlines that can't handle their baggage. 90 minutes is not acceptable

I'm a happy repeat customer of Frontier. I fly the SFO-CVG route fairly frequently. This was the first time I experienced a delay but they compensated quickly with a $25 voucher to everyone on board. I can't say I'm dissatisfied at all! Make sure you understand the luggage policy (not generous). Good for a weekend trip or shot vacation! Great for flying back home! Seats are generally the same size as other airlines, but no free food or beverages are provided read more

This airline just charged me $90 for a checked bag and a carry on... I guess the flight was so cheap I should have known- but I am in utter shock of the greediness of this company!! Ugh read more

NOT WORTH 1 STAR Paid $30 baggage fee, flight delayed 4.5 hrs Frontier did not notify counter staff so upon arrival there was no one present to check luggage despite paying the fee. Airport staff instructed u to bring luggage to gate so airline could stow from there. TSA required disposal of all liquids as they should have. They instructed us to take a picture of items so when airline is contacted for reimbursement they was proof. Flight took off after midnight for a scheduled 8 p.m. flight. Contacted Frontier and they refused to refund baggage fee while making no offer to reimburse for items required to be disposed. Eventually they offered a $25 voucher on Frontier. I declined the offer indicating this was not acceptable and in fact Frontier was "forcing" use of their services to receive value for cash paid to them. They stated they could not refund cost post flight. When I asked how a refund could have been requested prior to flight they had no answer. Do not recommend Frontier at all. Poor customer service and no interest in developing sustained customer base. read more

I had the best experience flying with Frontier Airlines from CVG to Tampa in Feb 2017. My sister and I were traveling with a 16 month old (hers) and a 7-lb puppy (mine)- which was stressful to say the least. But Frontier airlines went out of their way to accommodate us and made the trip much smoother than expected. They relocated our seats so that we could have a whole row in the back together. The flight attendants were so nice and went out of their way to entertain my 16 month old nephew, keeping him happy and contained. Definitely will be flying them again! read more

Signed-up for a Frontier Airlines Credit Card--reason to get the air miles. My Air miles expired--and that was my fault. **Called as was told Frontier would, as a courtesy, they would reinstate my air miles. Told daughter she could come home for mom's birthday and could use Frontier air miles. **Called Frontier regarding the air miles that they were going to reinstate, and now was told the miles only would be reinstated after we booked a flight. AGGGGHHHED Ok, so booked a flight and used the Frontier card to pay. **Called Frontier expecting to get my miles fixed, since just booked a flight for my daughter to see her mom on the birthday. Now Frontier is says, only counts if "I" fly, not that I booked and paid for the flight. AGGGGHHHED AGGGGHHHED AGGGGHHHED!! CANT WAIT TO BE DONE WITH FRONTIER. I REALIZE IT WAS MY FAULT WHY MY MILES EXPIRED--BUT EXPECT STRAIGHT ANSWERS. read more

Cheap airline, don't expect to be on time. The plane sat on the tarmac for 30 mins waiting for a open gate so we could get off the plane. The captain kept giving excuses. This airline is never on time, plan on being late as hell to where ever your going read more

Flew to MCO from CVG then return trip. We arrived at Orlando flight was great. Baggage claim was awful at MCO (June 14th) it took 45 minutes for the bags to get to us. The flight back was delayed about an hour and half, so we arrived at CVG's gate at 11:15 (June 23) at night. Our bags didn't get to the claim until 12:30am(June 24th). If you want to save money and use this carrier, I'd only do carry on. Too many reviews here and elsewhere regarding lost luggage. read more

The tickets I purchased for a flight to San Diego, were comparable in price to Delta, Southwest, etc...but the customer service was comparable to nothing. You have to purchase their water, because they won't even throw in a complimentary bottle, with 1500.00 worth of tickets. (3). Then they charge you 2.99 for a bottle. I will NEVER use Frontier again, their staff is rude, and the overpriced tickets made me believe we would get some sort of customer service, I was wrong. read more

I have no idea why someone would care about the extremely small table. I mean you are paying less than 300 for a round trip which saves you about 250. I flew from Cincy to Orlando, the flight was right on time, crew members and check-in people were much nicer than any AA or Delta people. And come on, the seats are okay. read more

Unbelievable, waiting at CVG airport to board our flight home because Frontier is waiting for catering to load drinks and sodas to SELL to passengers!!! It's all about the almighty dollar. We were here 2 hours before loading time and our plane was sitting at the gate then. This coupled with charging us twice for our baggage makes us NOT want to choose this airline again. We prepaid for our luggage when we purchased our tickets and they charged us again when we printed our boarding passes. We were told at the gate that FAA regulations required the airline to be catered before departure. After an hour delay and no catering service arrived we were allowed to board. When asked about this supposed FAA regulation the agent at the gate replied that the pilot overruled the regulation. Really? This airline really needs to retrain their employees. Finally in the air the flight attendants started selling drinks to passengers. Unbelievable that these drinks they wanted to sell were already on board! read more

Just last weekend, I flew from CVG to Portland, OR - round trip for $240!! Since the weather is warm, I was able to take all I needed for the long weekend in my personal bag for no extra charge. (they allow 18'x14"x8" for personal bag). I took my chances on seat assignment to avoid an extra fee, and ended up in an isle seat 3/4 of the trip, and a middle seat 1/4 of the time. I brought an empty water bottle through TSA and filled it before getting onboard. Also brought my own snacks. There were no problems with the flight or any of the personnel I encountered. The flight attendants were super friendly and even fun at times. This is by no means the only time I've flown Frontier. Even before they came to CVG, we would drive to Indy to get flights out to skiing in winter. A few time we had significant weather delays, and they were incredibly helpful. Once they even put us up in a hotel. Another time they gave us each a future flight voucher for $200. I can't think of a reason to complain about them at all - especially given the low fares. read more

Frontier delayed our flight to 2:14am to Orlando. Emailed us that it was delayed but never warned us that TSA closes at 9pm. Frontier left a large group of people stranded at the airport. Family missed their vacation time. I ended not being able to go to Orlando and loss $200 something to my hotel cancellation. Frontier customer service was rude and didn't refund our money. These airlines just want to take your money and run. read more

Recently flew from CVG (Cincinnati) to Phoenix and found the total flight experience to be very good. Those that complain about seat purchase and bag costs need to do a comparison with other carriers who have the same itinerary and they would find Frontier is very competitive. Any free beverages etc, that are complimentary, people should be intelligent enough to realize the cost was in their ticket! read more

This airline just sucks. I rather spend more money than to ride with them. The times that I've flown with them attendants speak way too loud early morning when people are sleeping. No beverage offered. They gave me ice. Seats are like sitting in a wooden chair with no space. Delta was luxurious compared to this read more

This is quite possibly the worst airline in the United States, I have flown extensively though American, Delta, and allegiant. And nothing I experienced through those airlines even remotely compares to frontier. I attempted to fly from CVG to Denver but due to weather Frontier had a weight limit on their planes, and they had to cancel 45 seats on my flight. So did they inform us of any alternatives? Nope. We found out there would be zero compensation and no alternate routes unless we flew out on Saturday. Absolutely ridiculous, not to mention that there was only one gate agent working at baggage claim while over 50 people waited in line. This airline is atrocious and I highly encourage you to not fly Frontier. read more

Follow everyone else's ADVICE. I had a flight here, and they cancelled it and had no alternate flights for a few days because they have such few flights. Also the customer service representatives at the kiosk didn't even know how to use the computer system. So, after we found out our flight was cancelled, they spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to rebook us, and assign vouchers for travel. I was willing to go to another state and drive to my desired location. They told me that they would accommodate me, and then last minute they said "never mind, that is not an option." Listen to everyone else who negatively reviews them, they will take your money and most likely end up getting you cancelled. read more

Trust the rest of the reviews when they say this is the worst airline in existence. It is simply not worth the atrocious customer service, high potential of literally NEVER reaching your destination, and all the fees that add up to the same cost as the more respected airlines. If one single thing goes wrong, you will be out hundreds of dollars with no alternatives, resulting in a ruined or canceled trip. I will never attempt (and I say attempt because I never actually boarded the flight I paid for) to fly Frontier again. read more

This is the worst airline in the history of airlines probably ever. I gave one star ONLY because the plane landed safely. One hour delay to take off, one hour delay to park on tarmac. Returning flight was delayed about 10 hours (supposedly for mechanical issues), so we bought Delta tickets ONLY because the workers at the Frontier gate counter told ALL of us that we would receive a ROUNDTRIP refund. That was a lie - only refunded one way. They told us that they would transfer our luggage to our Delta flight headed to SF. That was a lie because they dont even have an agreement with Delta to do that! So we are all home and still do not have our luggage nor can we get ahold of anybody to tell us where it is! The customer service was horrible when dealing with all of this mess. They need Tom Hopkins training or something! I know its a budget airline but COME ON!! Do not use this airline, Go with Delta they are awesome!!! read more

I flew Frontier for the first time today and I'm impressed. I haven't flown a discount airline in probably 20 years so I was expecting old interiors and dirty seats. When I got on, I was surprised at how clean and new everything was. The staff was really friendly and I loved the snacks. $1.99! On all the other airlines, you're charged $10+ for food, headphones, etc. on this airline, everything was super affordable so that I didn't mind paying. Flight was on time, it was easy to purchase the bundle ($49). This gave me seat selection, one checked bag, one small carry on and a few other things I can't remember. Totally pleasantly surprised by this airline! read more

Tried to fly from cincinnati, Ohio to Las Vegas, I was a lil bit late for the flight and had about 30 mins left, i understand that i cant get to this flight, but most of the time that i had exp would be switch to others flight then tranfer back to my destination and would be a lil bit late for what i expected to be there, but what i got this morning at 6:40 AM was 1 BADDDD customer service from ticketing agent on the online bag drop desk cuz she didnt try to help me at all !! , all she said was just to try to charge me and my gf for another $75 from each of us so thats $150 more !!! for just tranfer us to another flight at 8-9PM !! thats ridiculous.... so at first we was ok cuz we got no choice but have to pay for an additional $150 and wait for 12 hours! but after we stood there for a lil while, theres 1 GREATTTT service ticketing agent's name Jill ... she helped us to put to another flight that was going to Denver then tranfer back to Las Vegas from 9.20 AM to 3 PM. I was so relieveee and love her soo much .. Thx so much again Jill. I hope theres a lot more great service tiketing agent like U !!! Ps. Would have gave 1 star but another star is for Jill. read more

Buyer beware - these guys nickel and dime you, charging extra for carry ons as well as check ins. That's no news - the kicker is how they have you pre-select a seat (the cheapest is $12). What they don't tell you is you don't even have to pre-select a seat and you'll just be assigned to a seat depending on how soon you arrive and check in. It's free. read more

Worst airline ever. I fly at minimum 4 times a month on different airlines. This was my first and last time on Frontier. 4 hour delay do to plane issues and the customer service agent at the podium, in front of the computer, could not repute me around my missed connection. Had to make a call to a reservations number. That person, who I could not talk to, gave me one option that lands at another airport an hour away. I suggested several other routes that I knew would work but they refused to look at them. Only other option was to get on a flight the next day without compensation. This airline is cheaper for a reason. Worth paying more knowing you will actually get there. read more

I booked 2 tickets to Denver (for Nov 25) in late Sept. I just looked online and they are now 40% cheaper than what I paid for them!!!! RIDICULOUS! Plus I have to pay baggage fees. NEVER AGAIN! The last time I flew Frontier they made every person boarding check the fit of their bags in the contraption by the gate. It took forever. I should have learned my lesson. They are a rude group... I am not happy. read more

Zero stars...flight from Orlando to Cincinnati cancelled at last minute (11:40 p.m.). Piece of garbage airline. Offered no explanation, hotel reimbursement, and corporate office had the one person they had working on hold for 45 minutes. Pilots damn near ran off the plane through the terminal and were rude when I asked when we might be boarding (earlier). Bottom line...horrible company. YAY DELTA FOR SAVING THE DAY! read more

The worst airline ever. The good thing in this airline is airplane new and clean. Bad bad bad bad bad bad service

Seriously quite possibly the worse airline in the world! Not just the U.S. Worse airline ever! Horrible customer service! I will never fly frontier again! My flight time was changed without any explanation! Now I can't even get a hold of someone, have been on hold for 45 mins the 1st time then hang up and called again and another 30 mins no one!!! Last time I flew frontier and had to call for something, same thing happen and when finally someone answered, the person was totally clueless! Seriously?!? So now I'm suppose to change my whole life around Because you changed my flight time by more than 6 hours without any explanation, and so conveniently you won't pick up the phone???? I rather pay a few dollars more than deal with this BS. read more

Used my credit only after incurring a change of date fee...all done, now.

Flew from Cincinnati to Vegas for less than $50. Lots of posts are about price gouging, but those folks obviously didn't read the fine print. It states prices online just like every other airlines. A+ for prices. The issue I had was the unprofessional and unorganized team (probably why they have terrible layovers). Both times I've flown with them they appeared very confused and out of rhythm. Most recently this caused my flight to take off almost an hour late. While in the airport they changed gates not once, but twice. Once I was on the plane they struggled to get everything organized so we could pull away. Once we took off the pilot did his best to make up the time by flying faster than normal, at the expense to the passengers comfort. Not to mention, the seats... they're terrible. They're like a hard plastic chair with a thin cloth coating. The ONLY thing they have going for them... is their unbeatable price. read more

Please just don't do it. Yes the prices are cheap but don't really have somewhere to be. You wouldn't t make it. With delays and no flight attendants and canceled flights after hours of delays you mine as well pay the extra 50 for southwest read more

I had a 3:38pm flight out of Indianapolis today. I was visiting my daughter and she lives 1 hour away from the airport. I got a travel alert text saying there was a delay and that it's going to be 6:00 pm before the plane leaves. Before long a 2nd text alert saying 7:30 pm. Then a few moments later a final alert saying 8:00 pm. So I call Frontier customer service to see what's going on. When the agent finds out that I'm not at the airport she said that customers were supposed to arrive at the gate one hour before the original departure time! I asked her why Frontier didn't put that in the alerts? I told her I was only one hour from the airport and that I could get there in plenty of time. She stated that there wasn't anyone on duty to take my bags to the plane if I were to come. Once again I asked why Frontier didn't explain that in the three alerts I was sent because I could have been there but why be trapped when I could be at my daughter's nearby. She offered a full refund which is why they get 1 star... But, I had to pay 2.5 times the price to get a flight out the next morning... I will never fly Frontier or recommend them in the future. read more

Horrible. We waited and waited and ended up boarding after our time the flight was supposed to leave. Do not use the service.

Frontier's terminal customer service is not up to even 3rd world standards. To say it sucks gives "sucks" a bad rep. Was delayed because of snow on 12/15 in Denver's airport. Everyone on the planet knew the storm was coming. On 12/14 The Weather Channel tracked the storm minute by minute all day. Signaled out Denver all day for what was about to happen to them 12/15. Yet Frontier was total unprepared. They provided zero customer support in the terminal in support of the teeming stranded passengers.. You could not find at Frontier C/S with a search warrant. Hard to believe as Frontier consciously made the decision to abandoned there customers like they did in the terminal. Jim Green read more

This is my first time flying with your organization and I have to say I am nothing but dissatisfied. My flight to my destination (#1182) was delayed almost 2 hours because a flight attendant was late which made me late to an event I was attending the following morning. Now, I am SUPPPOSED to be on my way back home and instead we are sitting in the aircraft due to some computer issues that have taken more than an hour to figure out. I am not sure at what point it is deemed unsafe to fly an aircraft that has computer issues?!!! Why are we not being transferred to a different aircraft? The flight attendants are acting like they have no clue of what is going on and when asked by costumers if there are alternative flights they are quick to respond with an attitude not offering assistance. read more

flew the red eye from San Francisco to Cincinnati. We wanted to eat a nice dinner before the flight. Instead they had the counters closed and we had to wait 2 hours before we could check our bags and pass through security to get to the restaurants. The seats in the aircraft are a new low in uncomfortable. I was very tired but could not sleep even one minute. I think they have found a way to pack in a few more passengers by making the seats even more narrow and taking the last of the leg room. I am 6 feet tall and if they move the seats any closer together I will not be able to sit down. there is little or no padding on the seat back so plan on ibuprofen for the pain. I don't mind paying for snacks and drinks and that service was great. I was so uncomfortable that even though this is the only direct flight from Cincinnati to San Francisco, I will try to avoid Frontier in the future. read more

We flew today from CVG to TPA. The flight was slightly delayed due to weather so the ramp was closed which delayed baggage being loaded. They must have rushed to put the bags on because several peoples bags never made it including ours. We were first told there was another truck with baggage but then we saw claim forms being done. Ours never got loaded at CVG. I got a call several hours after leaving the airport that our bags will be in late tomorrow on a plane from Denver. I looked up flights from Denver and I see one coming in at 10:30 pm. They said the delivery company will call before coming, so I guess I'll be getting a "very late" call. Since it's Fathers Day and my gift is in there it would have been nice to have it today. If you fly Frontier I would recommend carry on vs checked. read more

I am disgusted that I even had to give them ONE star to post this review! My son is a United States Marine. We arrived an hour early for his flight. There were 3 people working the ticket counter and we were maybe 15th in line. It took us 45 minutes to get through line and I was told when we got up to the counter that I would NOT be given a gate pass to go with him to board the plane because they didn't have time. It takes a whole 30 seconds to print out a gate pass. I have requested this on SEVERAL occasions with other airlines. He will not be able to return home for at least a year, maybe longer. I am thoroughly disappointed and disgusted that my "see you later" to him had to be at the entrance for security. How impersonal! Needless to say, we will never fly Frontier again and I am letting everyone that I associate with in the Military know about our experience. read more
