I have read a lot of reviews for Frontier written by fools. If you are a fool, read those other reviews. If you are not a fool, then stay, and I will tell you the REAL DEAL. Frontier tickets are cheap as hell, because they include NOTHING. Frontier doesn't try and hide that. In fact they totally shove it in your face. If you want anything, like a carry-on bag, you have to pay extra. If you want food, you have to pay. If you want a snack, you have to pay. If you want to change your flight, you have to pay. If you want to have an agent print your boarding pass at ticketing like it's 1990, you have to pay. So if you know what you're doing, and don't want a ton of extra stuff, this is great! I flew round-trip across the country for $160, because I didn't need a carry-on or to feed my fat face during the flight. I just needed to get from A to B. Apparently they've got a good safety and maintenance record, and the aircraft were modern and clean, but again, no frills. No video system or any of that stuff. No chargers. Just a jet that takes you from one city to another. The people who give this airline one star show up with a bunch of crap they didn't pay for, and then get upset about having to pay. And then they get upset because the employees don't want to give them things for free, and they call that poor service. I saw it happen twice while I was waiting for my jet to board. If you want awesome service, go pay Delta $900 instead and they'll let you have a carry on for "free", and they'll even give you a couple Biscoff cookies and a sprite and you can feel like the king of your little cylinder of recycled air. One more thing, and it's why I gave them four stars instead of five: because they are a smaller airline, if something goes wrong, you don't have a lot of options. They're not going to have another flight in two hours. You're going to just be screwed. So take that into consideration if you are on a critical schedule. read more

If I could give them a negative rating I would. One thing they said. My flight got delayed. Then said. The layover with hotel and volcher for food. I received an email of $30 voucher but when I received the text. It was reduced to $20. Keep in mind it's a two people flight. Me and my mom. What food in the airport cost less than $13 per person. Let go back to why the flight got cancel or delayed. This airline never announced that they were delayed. But send an email. 20 min before the new departure. The work show up. Tell me. Just go to the next destination and once you get there. They should be able to help you. Terrible communication skills all together. Called customer service over 5 times. And talked to two different supervisor or manager read more

their website is absolutely horrible!! took all afternoon to actually book a flight !

Frontier Airlines is an absolute shit show. We paid extra money for more leg room, but had a very rude worker sitting right in front of us the whole flight. I wish they had to wear name tags so I could identify them by name. -0/10 CHOOSE ANY OTHER AIRLINE!! read more

Frontier is terrible! There is no way to speak to a live person on the phone unless you're an elite customer or it's 24 hours before your flight. Can't change your baggage- meaning subtract a bag, only add baggage. My husband & I booked flights together and then when they seated us they seated us apart for the flight. There were several people not yet checked- in so they could've seated us together, but did it just to try and get more money out of us. In order to sit together we would've had to pay an additional $63...ridiculous! I don't recommend this airline even if you save a little money. read more

I took a round trip to see family from Colorado to Cincinnati and back. My flight out was canceled and I was able to rebook, although it made me spend all day in the airport. Fine, it happens. The next weekend, my flight back was also canceled. The replacement flight, with a connection to Tampa, was then delayed for three hours so I would miss my connecting flight home. I called customer service to get another flight and the agent was rude and unhelpful, and I was forced to pay an additional $125 to get another flight the next day with a significant layover in Tampa. Don't fly frontier if you actually expect them to get you to point a to point b when you pay them to. read more

HORRIBLE. I cannot stress that enough. RUN! Unless you want a completely failed vacation with no refund, and not even an apology from Frontier Airlines. * 20 hour delayed flight. ** Followed by Lost Luggage. *** No Refund & RUDE "Supervisors" (Miss Paola) ****** Then Charged $75 for an extra 8lbs of weight on return flight because we had to spend $100 of our own money in clothing because they lost our luggage for our extra trip. *********Delayed 50 min on return flight all to hear we had a hydrolic failure error message in the left engine and then taxied back to our gate. Trip is ruined. No apology from any Frontier staff; furthermore they made it sound like it was our fault and that all their issues were "completely common issues." Been on more than 400 flights in 37 years and have never experienced this many issues, untrained staff, rudeness, or incompetence; especially offering no resolve, no apologies, and no compensation for our well planed special trip that we have been waiting a long time for. Save yourself, if you booked with Frontier, cancel it now. Soon they will be out of business and you will be the one left with Frontier Airline tickets in your hand and no refund. read more

Our flight got delayed, no fault to any employee. While we were checking in our baggage, we had some errors on our part while purchasing checked in bags, and Tae was so friendly, patient and professional. No judgment came from him (even though we were brainless during the whole check in process). Thanks again Tae! read more

I took my first flight with Frontier in September 2019. I flew from Tampa to CVG. The flight from TPA to CVG was smooth. The inside of the cabin was spacious with ample leg room. I was comfortable in my seat. They have in-flight service for food and drinks. There is an additional cost of course. Credit card please. No cash accepted. On the way back from Cincinnati, there was a three-hour delay due to some water issue with the plane or something. Frontier provided everyone on board with a $10 meal voucher to be used within 24 hours of issuance. I didn't know that you had to use the voucher at the airport where the delay was. I thought I could use it on the plane. The problem with using it at the airport is that they gave it to us about 20 minutes before we were about to board so I really didn't have a chance to use it anyway. I was so annoyed :-( I would fly Frontier again. But I will only fly if it's a direct flight. I would not dare risk a layover with them. read more

You have a low cost airline to begin with and the gate agent was one of the Nastiest person I've ever come in contact She was Rude, dismissive and Unhelpful. I would never spend my money riding this airline. read more

Good price for the overall flight. Every Frontier flight I have had with frontier has been delayed by minimum two hours. Do NOT check a bag. I have waited anywhere from half an hour to four hours just for them to bring bags off the plane. Overall, not a good experience. Will not ever be using again. read more

I've flown with Frontier a few times. Each time I'm suckered in by the low cost on their website. They fool you with a 'round trip price' that turns out to not be one price for a round trip. After selecting the 'round trip' price, you have to select your destination and return flights. You pay for each leg and end up paying more that the advertised 'round trip price'. Very misleading. After you pay for both legs and all the additional fees etc.. you are very close to a round trip price from Delta. What I do expect is common decency and good customer service. You get the minimum with Frontier. The gate staff talk to people like they are a burden and I witness one staff member practically scold people for getting in the wrong line. My first time on Frontier the return flight was cancelled. Thankfully, I paid the fee for a credit should this happen. If you fly Frontier I highly recommend you pay for a credit in the event your flight is cancelled. My second time on Frontier my return flight was delayed. Shit happens. No big deal, but this seems very common with Frontier. Once we landed we were rushed off the plans with commands given over the intercom to move quickly like an army drill. I imagine they are trying to meet flight times and have to rush rush rush. Makes for a bad experience. They also repeat themselves far too much. Passengers were told 6 times in 5 min to ensure you discard all trash items when exiting the plane. Being told 2 times is sufficient. Again, I am sure this is a result of trying to avoid delayed flights. The seats feel like you are sitting on a wooden bench. The tray they offer has barely enough room for a can and cup. Forget about putting a snack on the tray as well. You can take a backpack on for a fee and they never seem to be ok with how far you push the backpack under the seat in front of you. Flight attendants are trained to be borderline rude with a smile. There is a difference between genuine customer service and fake with a smile. I would rather pay an extra $100 or 2 with Delta as you get great service and a monitor to enjoy movies, shows and games to pass the time. I thought about 1 star, but felt a little extreme. If you are on a very tight budget than Frontier may be your only choice. If not, stay clear. read more

Never again. I tried to check my bags at 12:52. Stood in line for the agent to tell me I could not check my bag until 1:04. 2 hours before the flight. Frontiers employees are untrained. Doesn't matter at this point as I will never fly frontier again. Coming here everyone self-tagged their bags, only to stand in line waiting for 1 employee of the 10 different counters check everyone in. Luckily, the only other employee that could be helping was standing at the line entrance ensuring you had your bag tag already. What kind of morons are sitting in leadership positions make decisions on what is "efficient?" To add insult to injury, I paid for priority boarding in zone 2. Evidently the personnel working the gate doesn't understand this. As boarding zones just formed a big line, and the agents did nothing to correct this. Frontier stole money for a service they were not going to provide. The last pic is filth on the seat in front of me. Seriously Frontier? Cleanliness does not seem to be their primary concern. read more

Take away: CHECK YOUR BAG EVEN IF IT FITS UNDER YOUR SEAT!!!! I'm only going to give you the facts. You make up your own mind. I flew from CVG to Denver. I put my personal sized suitcase under my seat as it was designed to do. No problem. After multiple delays, as I was boarding my connecting flight, the gate agent required me to check my bag for $99! I called customer service to no avail. Case was escalated and I was provided with a 90 day voucher for $100. I don't think I will have an opportunity to use it since it's 90 days only. read more

This company goes out of its way to make their customers mad. To start off, they intentionally split couples up in their seating assignments eventhough you may be the first ones to check-in. I would imagine it is done to make people pay extra so you can sit next to your spouse. Next, is the self tagging of check-in bags. They had two kiosks to print luggage tags that they didn't allow you to use until 1 hour before boarding. So massive line formed and just about made the last people late for their flight. Another transparent attempt to have people pay the extra in-person assistance fee. Of course there is expensive carry-on and checked baggage fees. No snacks or drinks without purchasing. So, overall just do not go by the initially cost of flights, do the math with luggage cost and customer service. Frontier may not be the bargin you hoped for. read more

We were flying out of RSW to CVG for a quick football game. We threw a sweatshirt, toothbrush and some chips in our backpacks and started boarding the plane. We were abruptly stopped by an employee who demanded we had to fit our backpacks in this little slot or we had to pay for a carry on. Well what do you know...it didn't fit in that tiny little area but it sure fits underneath my seat in front of me. We were then FORCED to pay $179 for two backpacks! Why Frontier?! It was the only personal item we had. No purse or any other bags. Why do I now have to pay for my sweatshirt and snack I'm taking on the plane and putting at MY FEET?! I will make sure everyone knows this airline is full of rude employees and tons of hidden fees. Thanks for ruining my little getaway Frontier! read more

I have heard all the horror stories and read all the ridiculously horrible reviews. I was really, really apprehensive going in. But that price was realllly tough to pass up. Round trip tickets with the second cheapest carrier was $370 per person. Frontier ended up being $153. Ok, so here goes... (+) Both arrivals and departures were either on time or early. Yup. That is correct. I read so much about delays with this place, but I simply did not experience that. (+) Flight Attendants were pleasant and in good spirits. Lots of joking around and keeping things light. (+) both flights were smooth and relatively turbulence free (-) Man, those seats suck. It wasn't unbearable though. I did 3 hours one way and 4 hours back and it did the job. Just keep expectations very low. (-) those trays are pitiful. lol. It was an annoyance, but definitely something that can be dealt with for the right price. I would definitely use Frontier again if the circumstances were right. Just pack light and keep the in air time down to a couple of hours and this airline will do ....for the right price. a damn good price. ... I say it's totally worth it! Just keep expectations realistic and think of the money you're saving! 3 stars. A-Ok. read more

I paid $57 in advance for my carry-on bag. My bag was too big by 1 inch on both sides so I had to check the bag at the gate for $99. What isnso upsetting is that Frontier does not provide refunds for pre-paid carry-on if they have to be checked in at the gate. I can't imagine how many customers they lose each year by being so penny wise and pound foolish. I have canceled a lot of companies this past year. Frontier just got added to my list. I will not fly Frontier again and I urger others to not fly them either until the become a more customer friendly conpany. read more

i wish i could put zero stars. They are fucking ridiculous with their "personal items" and there workers here are miserable and rude.

I know the poor reputation of low cost airlines, and have actually been burned a few times by them. However, in this case, I felt it necessary to share a positive review. I ended up with an issue that could have been a nightmare, however, agent promptly reassured me. She was able to help immensely. Her name is Tammy Jo and she was working the CVG to Ft. Meyer gate. Very professional, friendly and customer service was stellar. They do seem to be getting stricter on the personal size carry on. Everyone had to put their own bag into the kiosk stand and if it was even the slightist over, they were made to pay for a checked bag. Just keep that in mind. read more

I have never been so disappointed by an airline in my life! They not only routed me stupidly through Ohio from Atlanta, GA going to Phoenix. The flight had a 7 hour layover with 2 hours left when the flight got delayed 2 hours more. Then the flight got canceled all together. My flight, because I bought it through Priceline, booked me on another flight for the next day at 9 pm. They said they wouldn't put us in a hotel nor would they reimburse Uber or any travel. I am more than frustrated and really ticked the heck off. If I could write a more negative I would. Never riding with this airline again! They need to get it together!!! I also lost out on 1000.00 worth of work and 2 extra days on my car parking! Super angry! read more

2 delayed flights and one cancelled in a period of 5 days. I wish I could give zero stars. I am actually shocked at the poor service I have received from this airline. My flight from Orlando to Cincinnati was delayed 5 hours and got me to Cincinnati at 4:00 am. The only compensation was a $15 dollar voucher for food, but all the airport restaurants were closed except one fast food store. My return flight 3 days later was delayed twice, for an hour each time. The second time I stepped away for 30 minutes to get a bite to eat, and when I returned they were finishing boarding and wouldn't let me on the plane. I know that they overbook their flights and assume that they gave my seat away. There was no text, no phone call, no overhead page to alert me that they started boarding after 20 minutes rather than the hour they told us. I had to rebook for the following day, with my only option to fly out the next evening or pay more than $400 to take an indirect flight. I waited at the airport 8 hours this time, only to be advised the flight was delayed, and then eventually canceled. The gate staff are unprofessional, condescending, and non- compassionate. I will never fly Frontier again. Photo is gate staff sitting in the floor eating. read more

Everyone hates Craptier for a reason. Seems like they participate in sketchy business practices. They let you book then cancel flights left and right. Our trip was cut short because they delayed our flight twice before canceling it. Had to leave out for vacation a day later. They charge for everything including counter service. I saw them make people pay for a carry on right before boarding although their bags fit in the carry on and personal space fitters. Staff gets a commission for getting people to pay for carry on right before boarding., which is $100 per bag. This did not happen to me, but I saw it happen to others. This airline is horrible. You have the most ridiculously horrible customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. Your employees are snide and rude. Your polices are not transparent and I or my family will never ever fly with Frontier again. Your policies equal extortion and should be illegal. Our confirmation said nothing about arrival 2 hours before our flight to check luggage. We were in line in time, but their lines were so slow and 3 of the 4 self check baggage stations were down as well. We were told we could not check our bags and had to take them thru TSA. This caused me to forfeit a very expensive multitool at TSA. After we finally get to the gate we are charged another $198 to get our bags on the plane. Being very upset we were told to quit yelling (my wife was not yelling, and I am hearing impaired so I talk loud) or they would not let us board the flight. This obviously upset my wife to the point of making her cry. This airline will never get a dime from me, EVER. If I could give them negative stars I would. read more

4-5 hour flight delay. No explanation. No compensation. No paperwork which means our pilot still has us sitting on the tarmac. I'm very disappointed with my last Frontier reservation from cvg to rsw. I had my boarding pass and was at the gate with my mother who was in a wheelchair. The world's worst airline is this one. I flew from Orlando to Cincinnati, and the aircraft was delayed for an hour before finally taking off after another 45 minutes of waiting. When we arrived in Cincinnati, no one told us that our bags will arrive an hour later. Plus the bags were on the wrong carousel on the opposite side of the airport. Overall my whole day has been wasted. On my way back, the flight is delayed again today from Cincinnati to Orlando, this time for two hours, but it has now been delayed for two and a half hours with no news or updates regarding the aircraft. When I asked the agent, she simply replied, "They will let you know when the plane is ready" They usually act in this manner. From now on, I would stay away from this airline. I'll admit, I was a little nervous after reading the other reviews, but my experience was awesome. I've come to the conclusion that people only review airlines when something has gone wrong (which can happen on any airline). Both of my flights with Frontier were on time and / or early, the planes were clean and the staff was friendly. Yes, you'll pay more for a seat assignment in advance, a drink or snack, and to bring a bag other than a personal item; but their fares are still way below other carriers. I'd rather tote my own snack on than pay an extra $200 for a small bag of peanuts and a coke. The planes are older, but they've been gutted and are fine. The seats don't recline and the tray tables are super small, but again, the price is right. I can't wait to fly Frontier again. Great deal! read more
