They have Pay By The Ounce Self Serve Beer Buy in the 21+ area. They have a good selection of beer on tap. With plenty of clean glasses to use. Like any Self Serve Beer Bar the selection is hit or miss by taste. You will have to let them hold your card on a Tab because it's Pay As You Go. Just follow the directions on the drink card to serve. We had an Anti-Pasta Salad. There was enough to share for two people. However, it was very much lacking in the vegetable department. The meats.... It was just out of the package Oscar Meyer. It was a waste of money for the price. We ordered two 8 inch personal pizza. On a side note they do have a Salad Bar. However, the Salad Bar had virtually no selection and is tiny. That too was not worth the money. I will come here again. Just not for the Salads.

What has happened to Ocean Crest Resort is absolutely disgusting…read more The rooms are horribly outdated and feel like they have been neglected for years. For the prices they charge, the condition of the accommodations is embarrassing. This is supposed to be a resort, not a time capsule with a premium nightly rate attached to it. But the outdated rooms are honestly the least offensive part of what is happening here. Since the new owners took over, I understand that most of the longtime staff were suddenly fired with little or no warning and the restaurant was shut down. These were real people with families, bills, mortgages, and lives tied to this place. People who helped build the reputation and experience that Ocean Crest benefited from for years were apparently discarded without a second thought. That is a shameful way to take over a longstanding local business. Closing the restaurant and gutting the staff didn't just change the resort--it affected multiple families and took jobs out of a small coastal community where replacing that kind of employment is not exactly easy. Then there is the situation involving historical artifacts that were reportedly loaned to the resort under the previous family ownership. My understanding is that some of those items have still not been returned to the people they belong to. If that is accurate, it is beyond unacceptable. Those items are part of someone else's family history and were entrusted to the resort, not handed over permanently to whoever happened to buy the property. Ocean Crest used to have something that money cannot easily recreate: history, character, loyal employees, a functioning restaurant, and a connection to the community. The new ownership appears to be doing an incredible job of destroying all of it. You can renovate an outdated room. You can replace furniture. You can repaint walls. What you cannot easily repair is the damage done when a business loses the goodwill of its employees, former owners, local community, and longtime customers. I would not spend a dime here under the current ownership. There are plenty of beautiful places to stay on the Washington coast. Spend your money somewhere that actually deserves your business.

A disappointing experience this time around…read more I actually left Red Genie a 5-star review after my visit last year because I really enjoyed it. The pizza was loaded with toppings, the crust was great, and it honestly reminded me of the Godfather's Pizza I grew up with. I was looking forward to coming back while visiting Ocean Shores. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. We called in an order for one Supreme pizza and were told it would be ready in about 40 minutes. I waited the 40 minutes and walked across the street to pick it up. When I arrived, they had me pay for the order and I even left a $5 tip. Only after I had paid and tipped did they tell me they were very busy and it would actually be another 20 minutes. ‍ Okay, things happen and restaurants get slammed, so I waited. About 25 minutes later, I went back to the counter to check on it, only to be told it would be another 30 minutes. At that point I had already been waiting nearly an hour and a half for one pizza, I was starving, and most of the other local restaurants were already closed. I finally asked for a refund and left. What really frustrated me was that I could have made a different dinner plan if I had been told the actual wait time when I arrived. Instead, I was given one wait time, then another, and then another--after already paying and leaving a tip. I understand that holiday weekends can get extremely busy, and I don't expect a restaurant to magically control how many orders come in. But the communication could have been much better. Please tell customers about significant delays before taking their money and tip. It sucks because I genuinely loved this place last year and was excited to come back. Unfortunately, this experience totally wasted my evening, and I left hungry and disappointed. I'd consider giving them another chance because I know they can make a good pizza, but after this experience, it's going to be a while before I do.

I try to give advance notice so anyone that reads my reviews for business closures and is motivated to do a farewell can but this closure kind of crept up on me and was short notice. We were in the area on a day trip and managed to swing by here on the final day. It was fairly busy and they were virtually out of beer. We did get the last one they had on tap. Swag was small in selection as to be expected with a closure and customers are grabbing up what they can. I saw some red hoodies with the brewery logo and didn't really want one but saw a gray one thanks to Steve pointing it out. Food orders were steady and pizza was rolling out rapidly for customers to chow down on one last time. I imagine the closure if this brewery is more of the current phenomenon of brewery closures due to shifting customer spending and cost for running a business. Sad to see but glad we managed one more stop before they closed for good.
