It's a very no-frills vibe as others have mentioned. Their food is so good (I am addicted to their beer battered fries!), the service is always prompt and friendly, and their prices are super-reasonable. This place always seems to be hopping with locals and for good reason. I need to branch out and try a few other things on their menu, but my current faves have been the grown-up grilled cheese and their meatball sub!

This place is a hidden gem for most people in the Brainerd Lakes area. They have all the regular options and I chose the two piece French toast with bacon. Their bacon was so good. Cooked perfectly, it was a bit thicker but not so thick that it so chewy. Pieces bit off cleanly and it had a rich flavor. French toast was equally delicious. I could taste a hint of egg in the bread, which was thicker than normal bread. So good. Staff was great. The other cool thing is they went all out on Halloween. Decorations galore. They had a skeleton family eating at a table. They had a hall or terror going to the restroom. They also had a miniature Halloween village where people added rocks with memorials of their loved ones as tombstones throughout the village. Very cool.
