We are staying at the campground in Crosby and my husband ran out to get us a quick breakfast before our departure. We are so impressed with the food and the service was excellent. Great group of people in there in the morning regulars were there for conversation. The ham and the omelette is absolutely delicious and their breakfast sandwich was phenomenal. Great breakfast place in Crosby. Service is great and the food comes out quick. Generous helpings so you won't leave hungry. Weekends can be busy but there is plenty of seating. Definitely a great spot after a weekend out mountain biking. read more

We stopped in on our way home from visiting family. I had the biscuit and gravy and a side of bacon. Fresh biscuit s gravy full of sausage but not very flavorful bacon was done crispy just the way it was like it. Coffee was kept full. Stopped in this rainy summer Friday morning for breakfast. It was busy but the staff had smiles on their faces and were moving around as fast as they could taking care of everything. We got the HuGe Carmel roll as an appetizer and it was amazing. The rest of the food came out tasting incredible and steaming hot. Coffee never got empty either. The food and the service here is excellent. We started with appetizers ( Carmel roll and a cinnamon roll for the table). Hard to choose the winner but the cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting was the winner ( both are excellent). The waitress was excellent. We ordered egg's Benedict, eggs hash browns and toast, western omelet and ultimate mess. All were excellent. We will be back. read more

Small town charm/friendliness pegged to a tee- even at 9:30 am there was only one table still available- it's that popular! Bonus was that one of the locals even bought my breakfast! Food was excellent. Service was great despite the fact they were very busy on a Sunday at brunch. It's a very small cafe. Large parties can sit at a couple of different tables but the two in the back are back to back and it is VERY narrow and you can't squeeze by to the bathrooms in the back very easily when they are full. They do not allow strollers. Had to take ours out. On food alone I'd say 5 stars but for asking us to take out our stroller when their own table set up doesn't allow for people to pass while our stroller left plenty of room is a little annoying. And ask for your cinnamon roll early! They run out. read more

Shit I forgot: This spot (amongst MANY others) stayed open during the height of the pandemic. As did most of the bars & restaurants, in Crosby, Deerwood, Ironton & Cuyuna. As a result, most of the eating & drinking establishments had to close, because they had infected all of their staff. Who were not compensated for getting sick because they were forced to work during a state mandated shutdown due to a global pandemic. No, I don't care if they stayed open & I don't want anyone to "get in trouble" w/the Feds/State. I don't care what they personally, "believe" in, either. I want people to be able to trust the place they're getting food & drink from and "profits over people" is entirely lacking in any sort or kind of business sense. If all these eating & drinking establishments are willing to ignore a State mandated edict, willing to risk the health & welfare of staff & customers for $$$. What other corners are they cutting? I've watched Gordon Ramsay. I am sure most of the spots that were so eager to be "rebels", are nightmare fuel shitholes. PS: The owners are well off enough to be able to afford the closure as well as paying staff for the time off & got grants to cover it, which I am sure did not get passed on to employees. Also, the "elite reviewers" who "review" this spot, aren't from here, do not know that the owners of this & several other businesses are racist & a part of the mis/disinfo & only serve to aid & abet that how so ever unwittingly, in this area w/their "paid reviews." read more

Bacon was nice and crispy and pancakes fluffy. Husband has eggs with just the right doneness, crispy hashbrowns, nicely browned toast, and tasty bacon. He said it was the best breakfast he's had that he didn't cook. HA! Service was great. Cafe style was quaint. Great experience.

Onion rings were definitely house made and yummy. Highlight was the best ever tartar sauce. I could drink it. The salad was good; the blackened seasoning on the chicken could have been more defined. Weekdays are the time to go as weekends pack out.
