They have ice cream that comes in either a cup or a nice homemade cone, which also has its own flavors. They have slushies and milkshakes. Their ice cream has me undulating with happiness. This is a nice little place on the way to hanging rock state park, just around the corner right before you turn from state highway 89. You can't miss the homemade ice cream sign. It might be a few miles out from hanging rock state park gate. We stopped here on our way back home from the the state park. The kids loved the vanilla and chocolate ice cream (1 scoop here was bigger than cold stone 2 scoops!), and the coffee ice cream was out of this world. Tried their banana raspberry smoothie with almond milk and it was refreshing, after a long hike. The owner was very pleasant and friendly, and even came out to give a treat to our furry family member. Do stop by and support this local business! The sweet lady working was a delight - so happy and smiling...it was nice to see an ice cream shop busy on a Tuesday afternoon workday - that's definitely a testament to how delicious the homemade ice cream is! They make each waffle cone fresh when you order, which I have NEVER seen at any other ice cream shop. I've also never seen flavors for waffle cones - who doesn't need a Red Velvet Waffle Cone?!?!!!! Also a great variety of flavors, some that are staples but a lot of seasonal and unique choices too! Sitting outside at a shady picnic table is the best way to enjoy such a treat and this spot is in a great place to enjoy just that - there's even "cow bench" for pictures. We visited this place for the first time after a hike on hanging rock around 3 on a weekday and they were not too busy. There isn't a lot of parking on the pavement but they do also have grass to park on. It's definitely the best waffle cone I've ever had! The ice cream is also amazing. They have such a great selection of ice creams, shakes and smoothies. The lady who served us was also very polite. Came here again Sunday July 9th at 4:40 and yes they are busy! But we got our ice cream very quickly! Another thing to mention is the smell as soon as you get up to the porch, it smells like heaven!!! Very cute ice cream spot at the base of Hanging Rock Park! You park directly in front of the store which is pretty small and limited. Nice to see that they hand make all of their ice cream and waffle cones. They had a great variety of ice cream flavors, waffle cone flavors, and their prices are very affordable. My partner and I both got a single scoop and felt like it was equivalent to double/triple scoops given at ice cream chains. We could have definitely shaved 1 single scoop together. Service was very pleasant an friendly. We got their seasonal pumpkin pie ice cream in a red velvet waffle cone (overall 8/10). The ice cream had great pumpkin pie spice flavor and was VERY creamy. The red velvet flavor of the waffle cone wasn't very strong but was made fresh and very crispy. I got their mint chocolate chip in a chocolate waffle cone (7/10), not my favorite since the chocolate chips were like very large cookie-chocolate chips but the ice cream was still creamy and minty. Would come back again! Last time I was there, it seems like they had pretty limited hours of 12pm-4pm most days of the week and 1pm-6pm one weekend day. This place is out of this world. They make amazing flavored waffle cones to order. I got blueberry waffle cone with cherry cheesecake ice cream on top. What was handed to me was this warm waffle cone that is so full of blueberry flavor and crunchy. It is a 5/5 on just the waffle cone itself. Then you have this awesome cheesecake ice cream with chunks of cherry in it...the combo was heavenly. This place is a total gem and a must stop when you are in the area. read more
