I was unexpectedly surprised how big this thing was. I love a good acai bowl and this did not disappoint. You can pick either an acai or dragon fruit base or 1/2 & 1/2. I went with 1/2 & 1/2 and a PB and the Bee. It comes topped with granola, honey, creamy peanut butter, bananas and blueberries. Delicious!! It was fresh and amazing. Good & quick service. Great smoothie! I went to Planet Smoothie for the first time this week, got their mango smoothie and I substituted bananas for spinach. There was no extra charge and the staff was so nice! Also my smoothie was too good! I'm definitely going to come here again as the spring/summer months are coming. It's nice and clean inside and there is seating outside. I loved everything about it! No complaints at all and reasonably priced for fresh food/ingredients! read more

From lean and green to coffee infused to protein-packed, Planet Smoothie has something for everyone. While a recent pineapple-avocado concoction is not one that I would repeat (unpleasant avocado aftertaste), it's a rare miss as I've enjoyed the Fiji Island Breeze (greens/pineapple/passion fruit/mango/banana), Java the Nut (coffee/cocoa/peanut butter/banana/fro yo/nonfat milk), and its cousin Chocolate Elvis (energy blast in place of coffee), among others. All are thick and blended well. The folks working here are always polite, and wait times are minimal (or nonexistent if you order ahead online). That said, Planet Smoothie is not cheap for what it offers (even a small smoothie will run about $6) though a loyalty program that lets you eventually earn a free smoothie eases some of that sting. read more

Planet Smoothie has become my go to place in High Point for my smoothie fix. I have multiple favorites so it is hard to recommend just one. If you are looking for a protein smoothie I would try the Peanut Butter Power Up. It is extremely tasty and filling. From the superfood menu I recommend the Amazon Kick (I like adding peanut butter to it as well). The manager and wait staff are vey friendly and knowledgeable. read more

The smoothie pictured is one of the new smoothies with almond butter called almond mocha jolt. It has coffee and almond butter in it with a hint of banana. It's delicious! I've eaten my way through at least half of their menu and I haven't had a smoothie that I didnt like. The owners are so polite and I always look forward to them handing me my smoothie and telling me to "taste It to make sure I like it," before I walk out. I'll have to remember to check in more often. I love this place! I almost want to go back and get this smoothie again right now. Truly the fastest I've ever drank one of their smoothies. I'll be back soon. read more

Super clean smoothie shop with a wide variety of options! The workers here create such a welcoming atmosphere and every smoothie I've gotten has been amazing. It is a tad pricey IMO - my usual 22oz (small) order is over $6 after tax but, the nutrition profile of most of their smoothies is way better than that of competing shops. They also offer a rewards program where you get points towards a free smoothie each time you visit! read more

I've been here 3 times already and the owners already know me on a first name basis. Every smoothie I've tried so far has been excellent but I think my favorite so far is the Java the Nut. Looking forward to trying other flavors but it's going to be hard to pull away from that one. Glad this side of High Point has a legitimately good smoothie place and is leaps and bounds better than Tropical Smoothie! read more

I had the pleasure of stopping in this new establishment this morning. Their menu is displayed and the smoothies show exactly what's in the smoothie. The menu is broken into different segments, like lite menu, power foods, etc, and they offer different size smoothies. I got the last mango and what seemed to be the owner encouraged me to taste it before before I left to make sure I liked it. The combination of fruits I chose tasted like i images. Exactly what I needed!!! The owners are a couple and were running the store. The wife was sweet, she explained the rewards program to me and it's a great deal. I got the Twigs and Berries which is simple but delicious, tastes refreshing. You also get your money's worth with the sizes too. Omg, horrible service, the people working here spent 10 minutes trying to please one family and answering their questions. I don't have a Problem with staff members helping other customers especially with different requests or needs, but what I do have a problem with is when they don't acknowledge the customers in line behind them who may very well have a very quick order and be able to be on their way well another staff member works with the customers who are having more difficulties. The employee took the payment, repeatedly shut the window abruptly, and when she returned with the drink, she handed it out without saying a word. As someone who is loyal to Tropical Smoothie Cafe and recommends it often, I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service during this visit. I hope this experience can be addressed so future customers are treated with more kindness and respect.

I don't know if the ownership has changed or if they just made some decisions to alter things, but either way it changes our opinion of the place. First and most important for us, they used to be the only place we were aware of in NC to get Gluten Free Crab Cakes which was a major reason we frequented Sammy G's. That has apparently changed and the new Gluten Free menu is basically just the meats menu which is a real shame. It looks like they have made some other small changes to the regular menu as well, none of those were all that concerning but the loss of this GF treat is a real blow for us. If you are a celiac and found reviews about the GF crab cakes, please be aware they appear to be gone now. Additionally, the prices across the menu seem to have gone up by a few dollars. When you consider that Sammy G's was never a cheap place to eat, and given the state of the economy these days, that actually does come out to a noticeable change and makes it harder to justify going. However, with the loss of the old GF options, it's unlikely we'll come back anywhere near as often as we used to.

Finally, a local ramen place that reminds me of what I had in Tokyo. They have several combo options with fried gyoza, or drinks. Speaking of which, the fried gyoza are delicious. The vibes are amazing, and the service is great. I can see Iso Iso being a winner. I can also see a lot of ramen in my future.

I always get the Straw Ana which is vanilla custard with fresh strawberries and bananas. My mom and I got the same thing but I just got hot fudge on mine which was really good if you like chocolate. If you're going, be sure to ask for a pup cup and they'll be sure to give you a little bit of custard to take home for your best friend! Great spot, though I will say I'm a bit disappointed they seem to have changed their rewards program since my last visit and I swear it used to be every dollar spent earns a point, now you only get a point every $2. I don't really like that, and may make me reconsider my visits.
