Nope, there's no porch. And you kind of feel like you're driving into industrial waste land to find the spot. But it's worth it, especially on a sunny day, when the brewery is open to the outside. (It's almost like a porch, right?) Beer selection leaned toward sour beers, though they had a couple of other types. They did the sours very well. What's also unique is you can do a whiskey flight of some common to less common whiskeys. For example, they have Brenne, which I've only seen one other place in Connecticut. Other perks include a Nintendo system, arcade game, and tons of board games. Cool spot.

4 stars for service, hours, and options! We had a good time on their first Saturday opening - you first walk in and it looks like it's pitch black (if you come during the day) but the eyes adjust quickly. Seating- They have tables, couch and some seats at the bar. They definitely need more seating that's the con. They were packed and I was lucky to snag a stool but watched many people come in and leave without ordering because of the lack of seating available. Libations- flights are $10 for 4 and they have 8 beers on tap and have whiskey, wine and some spirits as well. We got 2 flights so we could try them all and wound up both liking the Ego Death pale ale with lime and vanilla. We aren't big IPA fans but we heard a lot of people say "show me what you got" the IPA with mosaic was really good. I had it but again not a big IPA fan so I can't judge. They had some snacks, board games, nintendo 64 and they are open late!!! That's probably my favorite part - they are open almost regular bar hours which for those of us that work 6 days a week and get out late finally there is a place that I can go to after 8. Service was friendly, it was cozy, we will definitely be back.

Came here in the afternoon after a hike in the area. Cute spot with a small, cozy atmosphere. You can bring your own food and your dogs! The beer I tried was great, a saison and I loved it. They also sell homemade dog treats made by @melmakestreats featuring their used spent grains - very cool!

I was really looking forward to hitting this brewery. The beers from them I have tried at beer fests were always good. The day I went the variety of offerings was less than desirable. We ended up getting a flight to try it all regardless. It wasn't the worst beer I ever had, decent. Industrial setting was okay. Crowd was okay. Beertender was okay. I guess I wouldn't NOT go again...

Great place to hang out. They have board games, video games, whatever. They make some good beers but also have guest taps and hard liquor. Plus they're open late!

On my first visit, I ordered a flight which consisted of a Belgian Dubbel, a Session IPA, a Sour IPA, and a Pale Ale.

I was in the area on a beautiful day and decided to pop into a new-to-me local spot for a drink…read more That's how I ended up at New England Cider Company. It's tucked inside an old industrial park. If you're not looking closely, you'll drive right past it. Outside, there's a casual setup with a tent, whiskey barrel tables, and some umbrellas, which sounds nice in theory, but the grass really needed a cut. It kind of took away from the whole outdoor vibe. I was planning to sit out there, so that was a bit of a letdown. Inside was a pleasant surprise. It's much bigger than it looks from the outside. The bar is right at the entrance, which made it feel like a high-traffic zone, so not ideal for lingering. There was a private party in the main room, so I headed back outside to enjoy the sun. Now to the cider: I asked for 2 samples and ended up with the cider that I didn't actually choose, but hey, I'm not one to make a fuss so I went with it. The cider I wanted was actually pretty tasty, so I might return just to give the menu another try. You know how some ciders are sweet and yummy? The one I got was the kind that tastes sour but has a higher ABV. Still good, but my goal was sweet and yummy. Service was fine but not overly warm. Nothing bad, just not memorable. Would I go back? Sure, on a really nice day. If they had live music, I'd absolutely give it another shot. There's potential here, especially for cider fans, but it's not quite my go-to yet. They did have a very cool bathroom sink. Points for that!

Their lineup is always evolving, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy pushing boundaries--whether it's a hazy bursting with tropical hops or one of their wild, dessert‑leaning experimental releases. There's a sense of playfulness here that keeps every visit interesting. The taproom has a great vibe: relaxed, welcoming, and just quirky enough to match the personality of the beers. It's the kind of place where you can settle in for a couple pours, chat with friends, and work your way through a flight without feeling rushed. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the staff clearly cares about what they're pouring. They're quick with recommendations and happy to talk through the weirder offerings, which adds to the experience. If there's one thing keeping it from a full five stars, it's consistency--some beers absolutely crush it, while others feel more like fun experiments that don't quite land. But honestly, that's part of the charm here. When Abomination hits, they hit big. Overall, a must‑visit for anyone who loves bold, creative craft beer and a taproom with a personality! Cheers

It's spacious, energetic, and has that low‑key hum of people who actually care about what's in their glass. Service is dialed in. The staff knows their stuff--like, actually knows it. Ask about a collab stout or a triple‑dry‑hopped hazy and you'll get real tasting notes, not the generic "it's smooth" answer you get at lesser taprooms. And the beer selection? This is where 12 Percent flexes. Rotating taps full of experimental drops, collabs with cult‑favorite breweries, and a lineup that swings from pastry stouts to funky saisons to IPAs that taste like someone squeezed a whole orchard of tropical fruit into your glass. It's the kind of board that makes you want to order a flight just to avoid FOMO. While you can't order a flight they do offer two small pours at a time and I did just that. Maybe just a time or two. I recommend you do!! Cheers
