We lived in Canton and moved near Mansfield. We drove back and forth on Route 30 and always stopped there. I live in Twinsburg now. The last 2 years I drove down at Christmas time and ordered gift baskets and other items. Spent $250 this year and about the same last year. I don't like the remodeled store. They don't have the Amish goods they used to sell. Hardly any Heggy's candy. That was my last trip ever

We were first greeted by a friendly girl that explained to us what Grandpas was all about. They have a restaurant, cheese shop, gift shop and across the way is a candy shop. So many cheeses to try!! We bought several cheeses that we were able to taste first. We are excited to take them home and enjoy them with family. We also got some pickles from their huge selection of pickles. We went to the candy shop last and got stone home made fudge, The BEST gummy bears and some chocolate covered pecans and raisins. This was a great stop!!

I did try the dill pickle at the counter and it was definitely homemade and delicious. The service was so helpful and the layout was great to move back and forth to see the cheeses, pickles, trail mix, and sweets. As soon as we got home we started sampling the cheeses with crackers. The Pearl Road consisted of turkey, raclette cheese and cheddar cheese topped with a spicy berry bourbon mustard between sourdough bread slices then grilled to perfection. The Boho was also a grilled sourdough concoction, this time topped with cheddar, horseradish spread, salami, raclette cheese and grilled onions. Everything like traditional cheddar and swiss to more unique options like veggie, and buffalo wing. Most of the cheese had samples. It was a perfect way to get a sense of the differences between some of the varieties (standard vs smoked vs aged for example). Most cheese could be purchased in blocks, slices and cubes. They also had some beef stick options, dips and cheese fudge. I had never heard of cheese fudge before so was very intrigued. It had a different texture and flavor than traditional fudge but was definitely worth trying. They also have traditional fudge on the other side of the store. There were workers behind the counter actively packing cheese and willing to answer any questions you might have. Much like other tourist attractions, you have to walk through the gift shop to get to the cash registers. The line was kind of long, but it moved fairly quickly. This was a great stop with a lot of tasty products. Definitely recommend a visit!

This is the only place we will buy our deli meats & cheeses, just so much far above the store brands. Spices? They got 'em, fresh and 1/2 the price of store bought brands; big selection! All kinds of beans, home made chocolates, snacks, jams, jellies, etc. The employees are honest & knowledgeable too and parking is never a problem.
