I've been wanting to try Fresh Food Deli for a couple months now, since I saw the "Coming Soon!"…read moresign. Fresh Food Deli has been in Medina for at least the last 15 years or so, and they've decided to expand to the Green/Akron/New Franklin/Portage Lakes area! They have a private parking lot with enough room to back out and turn around without having to go onto Caston or Main in reverse. Their entrance door is off the right (when facing the restaurant), and it's fairly nondescript. You may think it's an employee entrance, but it is not! It's for you! This location appears to be primarily for takeaway and catering. It's clean and quaint and reminds me of one of the small places you find in Europe. The owner Yannis is very friendly and helpful! He is originally from Athens and his food reflects the quality that you come to expect from authentic Greek and European food! I decided to order the Gyro Wrap w/ Side (from the Board Specials). When they named this restaurant "Fresh Food Deli", they were telling the truth! It's absolutely fresh and delicious! The salad was crisp and filled with toppings. The gyro was warm and fresh with delicious pita. I love their tzatziki sauce. And everything is homemade, prepared fresh when you order. Fresh Food Deli in Green/Akron/New Franklin/Portage Lakes area is a hidden gem and I will absolutely be coming back here regularly! Opa!

The four cheese melt was kind of a disappointment. I was expecting a nice thick gooey grilled cheese with a juicy big slice of tomato. It was still tasty, but wow not what I was expecting. The tomato slice with thin and had to glance up close to see multiple cheeses. The Cajun red beans and rice was impressive. However, be prepared for heartburn later with the delicious Cajun flavoring and andouille sausage. The nacho basket starter is a puzzler to be honest. The queso was absolutely delicious and flavorful, the chips were good, but what makes it a nacho basket? The jalapeños seem random even though they had a kick. Now to why I'm leaving review. A couple days ago I had a problem with my order and delivery and at first, my problem wasn't being rectified in the manner that was acceptable in the customer service business. Instead of going full throttle on a review platform, I decided to reach out to their FB page via private message. I expressed my displeasure of the service I received from one of their staff members and in less than an hour I got a written statement back from the owners. Mr and Mrs Lehman explained to me how the mishap of my delivery happened and their process of delivering to my location. Next, they addressed the response I received from from one of their employees and assured me that, it was very unacceptable in the way said employee handled the situation. Lastly they thanked me for giving them a heads up on my situation because it allows them to grow and correct things other than letting something like this situation fly under the radar. I was granted my refund and I thought Debbie and Ernie handled this situation as best as possible. I love to see owners involved in their business to this magnitude and trying to correct what was wronged, right. Can't wait to fly back home and enjoy their food. Thank you
