I have been interested in trying Deli Ohio for a few years and finally made it. There is a board of soup, salad, and sandwich options available including pick 2. Deli Ohio has a rotating seasonal menu. One of the fall seasonal rotation options was the sausage, kale, and barley soup which was delicious. Today, I got the pick 2 with half roast beef and cheese sandwich and the sausage, kale, and barley soup. The meal includes chips and pickle spear. A great experience overall including friendly staff. read more

Cool local spot in Canton. Roughly 10-15 minute drive from the National football hall of fame. We were starving after spending the morning at the hall of fame and looking for a quick lunch spot before driving back to Cleveland. They have a lot of sandwich options and nice seating inside. Got the roast beef and cheddar sandwich, which came with a pickle spear and homemade chips. I wish the bread tasted better read more

Great selections of food to choose from.Great location. On the bus routes downtown Canton.

Good food, solid atmosphere and support local people doing local food. I tried the italian and the bacon avacado turkey, which is what I reccommend. read more

What a wonderful lunch spot! Staff is so friendly, restaurant is clean, food was delicious. We LOVED the ham apple brie sandwich. They have some great sandwich combos, as well as fresh sides and ingredients. It was busy when we walked in (prime lunch hour), but it was still only about a 10minute wait for our sandwiches to come out. Order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Parking was easy, in the parking lot behind the building, but plenty of street parking as well. We weren't sure if we had to pay for the street parking so we opted for the lot. Big fan, I'll be back! read more

Deli Ohio is a must try when in the area. Perfect lunch spot for fresh sandwiches, soups and chilis. The Italian has been my favorite on the menu and the white chicken chili is the best. The desserts are also very good! read more

Love this place; the food and mission are delightful! Never had a bad experience or meal from them.

Oh myyyyyy. Why have I not stopped in sooner?? I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and two sandwich cookies: bacon pecan filled with maple cream and am oatmeal cream. I took a bite of the bacon pecan maple while waiting for my biscuit, and I can't say I've had a cookie quite this delicious in a long time. It is pretty rich and sweet, but the salty nature adds a really nice balance. Biscuit was duly delicious. It's so cute here too. There is a "free little library". Staff is super friendly. Everything here is five stars. read more

The food was so good! This little deli is located in downtown Canton, but still has ample parking if you are visiting. We were able to call ahead and place our order so I was able to run in and out. They definitely had a steady stream of people visiting including a lot of downtown employees. The sandwiches were fresh as were the sides. I love how there is a seasonal menu so items change up frequently. Their cookies are amazing. You have to try their oatmeal sandwich cookies. I will be getting this again for sure. I tried the roast beef sandwich with the seasonal macaroni salad which was great. The ingredients were fresh and you could see them making the items as people ordered. If your visiting the area, definitely put this in your list to try. The outside of the deli had amazing artwork in it as well. read more

Great food. Friendly service. One of my favorite local places. Will return. Highly recommend!

Food was mediocre. Sandwiches not toasted. Bread not fresh. Toppings skimpy. Traveled 45 minutes to have lunch with a friend and ohio deli was recommended to us. Visiting a friend worth the trip. Food definitely not worth the trip. read more

My office order pick-up and I ordered the Reuben. It was the worst one I've ever had. It was fatty and rancid. I called to talk about it and he tells me he's not going to change anything about it and that people hug him for it. Ummm, okay why do I care. You could have just said thanks for the comments we'll try better next time. read more

First timer here, it's apparent from the reviews and the line out the door when i stopped in today that people love this place. If there's one tip i could give, if you are coming down on your lunch hour, ORDER AHEAD! there was a line out the door. I didn't have time to ask for suggestions since it was so busy, I went with the turkey bacon avocado minus the avocado, and i grabbed a piece of their special apple cheesecake out of the cooler. I will say this before i even get to the taste review, they must have not looked at the ticket first because they put avocado on the sandwich the older lady wrapping it noticed and took the avocado off, but then she took a paper towel and started wiping the avocado off the sandwich and that totally disgusted me. Maybe better kitchen etiquette in the future because that was a HUGE turn off. Onto the sandwich, it was good, you can definitely tell it wasn't cheap ingredients, the turkey was full of flavor and the bacon was thick and delicious, but as you can see from the pictures i attached, the bread to meat ratio wasn't great, ( i took one picture with the toppings and then took the toppings off to show just the meat) for what you pay for (8.50) i definitely would have liked more meat. Overall it is good, I will go back a second time maybe when they aren't so busy or order ahead, it would have been 4 stars if it weren't for the paper towel scrubbing of my sandwich, and the meat to bread ratio. Good little place though and I love supporting local small businesses so i encourage others to try it out! read more

ERRTHING GOOD Love this local downtown Deli! My advice is to take a tour of the lunch menu by making several trips lol They have clever takes on lunchtime classics. Also sell vintage sodas and homemade deserts. Great environment-- tons of windows provide natural lighting. The ham, apple and Brie is amazing! read more

If you are lucky enough to visit Canton Ohio and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, head downtown and try out this hidden gem. The ham and Brie with Granny Smith apple sandwich on sourdough is a game winning TD. Their selection of sodas include Cheerwine which only adds to my enjoyment. The menu has at least 12 different sandwiches and has several other great options. Service is fast and staff is Uber friendly. Things I would change would be their chips to be more homemade kettle style but that's getting picky. read more

Stopped in with my husband while on a work trip. Cute little deli. Very clean atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Our sandwiches were delicious and made with excellent quality ingredients. Fresh, crisp lettuce, lightly toasted breads, flavorful meats and sauces. We will definitely return again and recommend to others. Thanks for a great lunch guys! read more

We ordered carryout here from work, and I had this: Rustic Turkey Italiano local smoked turkey, local pepperoni, local provolone, house pesto mayo, pepperoncini, red onion, lettuce, tomato, house baked honey whole wheat The stand outs for me are the turkey and the bread. This is not typical lunch meat you would get in the grocery store. The bread is special too. It tastes like and has the texture of something homemade. I would order this one again for sure. read more

I love the whole idea of this place, and the grub isn't bad either. A friend from Canton took me here, and I'm glad he did. All of their foods are locally sourced, and that's a big thing, and a good thing. We both got sandwiches and sides, as we might at any deli, he: the Ham Apple Brie, me: the Italian Beef. Both sandwiches were good(we swapped halves). I don't know, I could go to any random deli, and get a decent sandwich, or I could go here and get the same/better quality sandwich knowing that it was locally sourced. That's important to the local economy, and I like to support places like that. And....... It's BYOB. I brought a Cincinnati beer. @Represent! ;) Oh crap, I almost forgot to mention the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies! Stick one in your face! read more

Deli Ohio - 1/2 Italian Beef, 1/2 Ham Apple Brie sandwiches - Delis Near Me - Canton, Ohio

Great lunch spot! Really cool look, and friendly staff. Went here for a lunch between meetings at work, and was provided with quick service. They had a great spread of classic sandwiches, and some with a signature twist. They use a large variety of cheeses, meats, and other toppings. Very great options all around. The people in my party enjoyed The different breads as well. The only major issue with the food was the choices to toast and not toast certain breads for certain dishes in their default menu listing. Some made the sandwiches soggy and made the textures unappealing for the sandwich. Things that force me to rank it less than I would want to would also have to be the condition of the tables in the dining area. The tables, while being rustic and giving a great atmosphere, were very sticky across the entire restaurant. That is one thing that's pretty high on my list of making a restaurant not as enjoyable. Additionally, the condiment and water bar top was also sticky. Overall, it's a good sandwich joint, but not something that I would go out of my way for at the moment. read more

This place is adorable. It's a small cozy cafe with a lot of natural light. My boy friend and I were greeted right away when we walked in. We came in 15 minutes before they closed and were worried we would have to rush. The staff said we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted! (We didn't, of course!) I ordered the Rachel sandwich and my boy friend got the Turkey Bacon Avocado. While we waited, we got some waters at their water station. It was a table full of mason jar glasses with a giant glass jug of water. It was super nice! Our sandwiches came out on these wooden planks with checkered paper. Everything was delicious. We sat by the window and just enjoyed our lunch. I highly recommend this place! I wish there was one in my town! read more

Visiting from Kansas City. We tried the Rachel with the autumn cranberry apple and nut salad. The staff was knowledge and friendly. The restaurant clean and tidy. The Rachel was delicious and the homemade slaw on top was worth it ! The fresh turkey and bread took it up a notch from your normal sandwich shop. The local chips a nice touch. The salad was crips and fresh with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette. They held the onions which was lovely for me . Come see them they know how to make some tasty food. read more

I was driving through Canton looking for a quick bite to eat and found Deli Ohio on Yelp. After seeing a sign for their special sandwich "The Peace", which featured made in house hummus, locally grown produce and feta cheese, I knew I had chosen the right place. The Food: Phenomenal! Had trouble choosing with all of the great options. In addition to "the peace", I had buffalo sauce cole slaw which had a hint of bleu cheese. Everything tasted fresh and made to perfection. I'd recommend this place to someone looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch, especially for their gourmet sandwiches. read more

This place is perfect for lunch! They have a large selection of sandwiches, a few salads and some soup. You order at the counter and the staff brings the food out to you pretty quickly (again why it is great for lunch). There about 15-20 tables in the place, so plenty of seating. I have had the turkey sandwich and the Southwestern Cobb Salad. The turkey was great! They use as many local ingredients as they can (if not all). It is stuffed with turkey, avocado, bacon and topped with veggies and a delicious aioli. Get it with one of their sides like the mac salad or the buffalo slaw. I think the sides change based on the season or by week so it may always be something different. The salad on the other hand, while good, would not be my recommendation. They have them pre-made and they just grab them out of the refrigerator. This is fine except all of the ingredients are cold including the chicken (it would be nice if it was warm). It would just be better if they made the salads to order like they do the sandwiches. Needless to say, I will be back to check out one of the other sandwich options. read more

My wife and I stopped here for lunch while traveling to a car museum. She had the chicken salad and I had the Italian hoagie. The chicken salad sandwich was excellent and it contained cranberries. The Italian hoagie tasted great with the balsamic vinegar but it could definitely use more meat. My guess is that because balsamic vinegar is used there is less meat since balsamic vinegar tends to be expensive. The balsamic vinegar gives the sandwich a distinctive flavor and taste. I would suggest to Deli Ohio maybe cut the balsamic and go with more meat. Every other sandwich I saw being served, ham, turkey, etc., had quite a bit of meat; much more than my Italian hoagie. read more

The quality of the food here is the most notable along with the friendly staff! Everything is ridiculously fresh

Great sandwiches, soups, and sides. Haven't really had anything bad, although on one visit the potato soup had separated and was no longer creamy. But they were great about taking it back and giving me the other soup offered that day. Sometimes they're skimpy on the toaster, I like my grilled cheese toastier, but they will run it through twice for you. Everything is very fresh, great bread, great ingredients. Favorites are the herbivore, the turkey bacon avocado and the southwestern cobb salad. Love the breakfast sandwiches too (all of them), and when they have the seasonal parfait with apples and granola, try it you won't regret it. read more

Deli Ohio - The Cuban with chips and a pickle. Just amazing! - Delis Near Me - Canton, Ohio

Deli Ohio seems too quality for Canton... Or maybe Canton is improving. Ya we'll go with that. From their fresh organic ingredients, to the whole look and feel of the place, everything makes up for the type of place you might find in a city considerably larger than Canton. Not usually very busy though. I've tried several of the sandwiches, and they all feel and taste very homemade. The Ham-Apple-Brie is popular for a reason. It's interesting but not so much that most people wouldn't like it. And they have a great selection of other products as well. An assortment of drinks not found most places- San Pelligrinos and such. They sell bags of Popped popcorn, which is from Kent, Ohio; and they'll brew you up a fresh cup of Bent Tree coffee (out of Kent also), made with a chemex. I'm gonna say Deli Ohio is beginning to add a new dimension to downtown Canton! read more
