Great food, great atmosphere. Ham Apple Brie sandwich was excellent as well as the killer sea salt chocolate chip cookies. Owner is very friendly and will definitely be back. read more

To walk away from a restaurant feeling full, healthy, and fulfilled - it's a sensation that's far too rare in these parts, I'm afraid. Ryan and Ashten's food consistently creates this sensation for me. They care about their ingredients and it shows. Their substantial sandwich menu doesn't steal the limelight away from the always fresh and interesting sides. Even the carefully selected beverages are more flavorful than average. Deli Ohio is like a mirage in the desert that turns out to be a very real paradise. read more

I had the Cuban sandwich. It was ok. Not great. I was so unimpressed I gave the other half away.

This place was great in every way. Large portions, locally sourced food, and lots of care taken in crafting your meal. The owners are on site and working to ensure you have a great experience. I WILL be back next time I'm in town. You must try this little sandwich spot, definitely a gem in downtown Canton! read more

Deli Ohio - Fantastic Ham Apple Brie on home made bread-nom nom nom!!! - Delis Near Me - Canton, Ohio

What a hidden gem! Completely unexpected and totally welcome! Upon entry, we were immediately taken back at the simple yet trendy decor. Community seating was excellent and the process to order simple. Choices of locally sourced products made this supporting local and not corporate. The menu offered many sandwiches and sides all prepared fresh. Served by a gentleman carrying wood planks for the food, each meal was made with care and clean lines. Our food was perfect and tasted fresh! This is the perfect place for a lunch or snack! Make the trip, stop by and try it all. read more

Holy cow! Amazing. The sandwiches are fresh and and taste great. Bent Tree Coffee is brewed there (which is awesome) and brewed one cup at a time. read more

After sampling some of their food on a Canton Food Tour, we decided to come back the next day for lunch. This place is awesome! The atmosphere inside is clean and calm. I love the self-serve water dispensers (I drink a ton of water!). I had the turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich for lunch with the green apple slaw. The food came beautifully presented, and it was so delicious! Just the perfect amount of each ingredient so you could taste everything and nothing overpowers. I will definitely eat here again and suggest it enthusiastically. It might be a little difficult to spot though. They don't have signs visible when approaching from the north or east, so keep your eyes open. read more

Amazing food, so consistent, great flavors, one of my all time favorite restaurants in the Canton area!!

For so many reasons I love this deli, not the least of which is that the proprietors are great people. You'll find nothing north if $8 on the menu, though for the quality you'd be glad to pay a great deal more. Nothing phoned in here - the ingredients are meticulously selected, down to the locally baked bread, high quality meats, and sodas made with whole ingredients. I've explored quite a bit of the menu, and I'm a huge fan of the Cuban. Whatever you try, I doubt you'll be disappointed. read more

We will never go back! The place is not cleaned and the old man who works the register is too non-chalant and too laid back . Who ever is in charge needs to make the employees do their jobs. Work that needs done doesn't get done. I don't want to sit at a dirty table. We got sick off the soup that sits uncovered and the lettuce was wilted. Will never give them a dime again. read more

Great food at a decent price. This is our fifth time here and we would definitely pick here over Panera or another deli style restaurant. I would like to see more chips on the side, but that is just a personal preference. I would highly recommend this place for lunch or a quick bite to eat. read more

We loved our lunch here. I had the Cuban and it did not disappoint. The sandwich is a meal in itself (I only got through half the second half!), tasty fresh meats and delicious bread. My husband had the roast beef. It must have been good because he hardly said a word while he was eating and there wasn't even a bite left for me! We both succumbed to the chocolate chip with sea salt cookies and they were as delicious as advertised. Also worth noting is the wide array of sodas and teas they have in the cooler. Staff was friendly and engaging, too. read more

This deli has the friendliest staff and best food! We've tried most of the sandwiches on the menu and love them all! The cookies are great and it's nice that they have Jeni's ice cream to take with you! Love this place! read more

Went around 11 o'clock with my bestie. Trying to convert her to being a Yelper. The food was very good. Service excellent and it came with a smile. A nice variety of drinks also. My sandwich put a smile on my face instantly, i purchased the Ham apple brie with spinach. Mmmm yummy. The peach perseveres brought an instant brightness to the sandwiches taste. Instead of the chips i ordered pasta salad (it could've used some salt) the tomato and cheese complimented the penne noodles well. Definitely a return trip is in order read more

We have been here on several different occasions for breakfast and lunch. We not only received a great meal, but were also educated on how and why the ingredients were chosen. The attention to detail shows with the entire experience. read more

The sandwich i had was good. I didnt really know the place i was walking into, as i was in town for work, and here based on yelp reviews. It was good honest, hearty food. Which is what i expected from this part of OH. I would compare this place to a Panera, but with a local twist. It was good food. If your in canton and looking for lunch. Deli Ohio - Turkey bacon avacado with buffalo bleu coleslaw - Delis Near Me - Canton, Ohio

The boyfriend and I were headed to a wedding in the Canton area and had some time to kill before we needed to start getting ready. Deli Ohio fit the bill to a T. I got myself a Cuban Sandwich and some soup, while the boyfriend had the Ham/Apple/Brie, switching out the cheese since he's not a soft cheese fan. It was the perfect little lunch, and filled us up until the wedding later that evening. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular lunch stop. Since I'm not, I'll make do with a stop the next time I'm in the area. read more

I have kept passing buy and never had a chance to grab a bite to eat. I made it a priority this past Summer to go and try them out. Loved the look of the place, windows on the whole side facing Walnut. The menu has many great selections and i wasn't quite sure what to order until I saw it right in front of me on the menu board.......a Cuban sandwich!! I have been dying for one for so long. A bag of kettle cooked chips and a bottled soda completed my order. An employee was super wonderful to bring my lunch to me since I'm in a wheelchair. I waited at the counter like anyone else, but he took it to another level which was wonderful! Will definitely be back to have more of those delicious sandwiches. read more

Never disappoints! My heart belongs to the 'ham apple brie' Their soups are great too!

Would go 3.5 stars if possible but 3 will have to do. Place was clean, I enjoyed a cuban sandwich, chips and rootbeer. Food came out quickly, and was good. Wouldn't drive out of my way to eat here , but if in neighborhood would definitely come back read more

I've probably visited 25x since they opened five years ago and never had a bad menu item or experience. Deli Ohio always serves the freshest, most delicious food. My favorites include the ham apple brie sandwich, the Rachel (turkey & swiss on sourdough) and any of the soups. The oatmeal cream pie cookie is seriously THE BEST, I dream about them. If I call ahead for pickup they are prompt with the order, and it's accurate. read more

As far as sandwiches go in Canton, Deli Ohio is about as good as you'll find. They make their own bread, everything is sliced fresh and made to order, it's so good. The seasonal specials are always spot on, and their pastries are also amazing! You will not be disappointed! read more

My husband and I went for a Saturday lunch. We were looking for something fresh and not to heavy. Everything we had was great! I got a vegetarian sandwich with spinach, apple, and Brie with a side of blue cheese coleslaw. My husband got one of the specials of the day which was a club sandwich of sorts. He was pleasantly surprised on how large the portions were. He also got one of the craft sodas which he said was good as well. They have something for all tastes! Service was fast and the ambience and decor was enjoyable. Plenty of parking available when we visited. Overall an enjoyable lunch! read more

I work and live downtown, so I've been to Deli Ohio quite a few times. The selection of sandwiches is fantastic and continually presents a problem -- do I get my favorite, the turkey, bacon, & avocado, or branch out and try something new? I think I've had most of the menu now, and they're all great. I also love the self-serve water dispensers and presentation of the meals on wood planks. One suggestion -- get the dry sodas back! I used to look so forward to getting a dry lavender soda with my meal. They were SO good! Having a faster line for carry-out orders would be great, too. Calling ahead doesn't really serve any purpose when you have to wait 10 minutes in line to pick up the order, even when it's already done. read more

Again another 4 stars sitting here now. Although don't come for the decorum or the friendliness. But do come for the food and just a chill lunch/dinner. Just ordered the reuben! Although it's different I enjoyed it. Doesn't blow me away but it's nice. Still definitely grab a root beer like I posted earlier! For those not familiar with canton its an older city most of the downtown buildings are from the early 1900s some have been updated. This restaurant could use a updated floor perhaps. Overall still not a bad little place as I sit here digesting my lunch. I'll likely again come back sometime here in the future! By the way I've never seen a restaurant serve you your food on wood with paper haha interesting right?! Who would expect that?! Definitely saves on your use of dishes and paper waste! Impressive use for that. Commendable because restaurants can waste space on dishes! Save on soap haha! Happy yelping to all! read more

Reuben, in house cured corned beef without sodium nitrate? It works & works well. Slaw was crisp and fresh. Bread was amazing. Looking for a light lunch before the #PFHOF 2018 tailgate party. These guys are so smart to put this in a location like this. They are SOOO fresh, the homemade slaw that substitutes for coleslaw made this the best Reuben I have ever eaten. So clean, and the setup reminds me of San Francisco. Check this out because their food is the TRUTH!!! read more

If you're looking for a solid lunch/dinner spot, look no further. I've had the Cuban and the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwiches, as well as the sea salt chocolate chip cookie. Great deli in a great spot. Rueben is great. As is Ham Apple Brie. And they care a lot about the City and our region.

Cute place, great deli and veg sandwiches, and friendly staff. It's a great addition to downtown Canton.

Deli Ohio is a great little deli run by great people. The decor is spartan and modern, yet warm and inviting at the same time. It has a great urban vibe that fits nicely with it's location on Walnut. The food is fantastic! I'm a huge fan of the turkey-bacon-advocado sandwich, which is so good that I'm having trouble branching out. I also love the fact that they strive to source fresh food from local farms and favor a sustainable approach to business. Stark County is lucky to have this place, so get downtown and give it a try! read more

I was in Ohio visiting and obviously down in Canton for the football HOF. We stopped in here to get a bite to eat before heading to Cleveland and we're very glad we did. We are from the suburbs outside of Boston, which is a world class metropolitan city, and this place would fit right in in Cambridge, Brookline, or Newton. Simple industrial decor/silverware/flatware/serving dishes. Food was great, coffee was great, and the woman working couldn't have been nicer. If you live in the area or are going to be near Canton, you owe it to yourself to check it out. read more
