As a first-time mom, I was nervous and had a lot of unknowns going in, but AshLee made sure I felt educated, prepared, and confident long before labor even began. She helped me create my birth plan and took the time to talk through everything I was worried about, turning anxiety into confidence. When labor actually arrived, AshLee was exactly who we needed in that room. She came armed with tools, ideas, and an endless supply of encouragement. When my partner Cody and I were exhausted and foggy, she was the clear-headed one keeping things moving. She has an incredible ability to read people and read the room, and she was always one step ahead, offering new options to try and knowing exactly where support was needed before we even had to ask. She made sure Cody wasn't just a bystander. She showed him what to do, gave him direction and encouragement, and made us both feel like he was in the thick of it with me- and he was. That mattered so much to both of us. One of the things I'll never forget is that AshLee also advocated for me when I was too out of it to advocate for myself. She asked the right questions to make sure I was getting what I needed and wanted. In between all of that, we laughed, shared stories, and connected on a personal level that made the whole experience feel warm and human. She brought a light, funny energy into what could have been a really tense space. But AshLee didn't disappear the moment our daughter arrived. She has checked in on me consistently postpartum, offering support both physically and emotionally. She even offered to help with dinner or cleaning the cat litter boxes, which honestly meant the world to me. At our first postpartum visit, she stayed well past the time she was required, and we spent the whole time going over the birth in detail and diving deep into all of our new-parent questions. She never made us feel rushed. She texted me on my first Mother's Day, which meant a lot to me. AshLee truly felt like part of our team -- not a service provider, but someone who was genuinely invested in us. She is a part of our daughter's birth story, and we will be forever grateful for that. If you are a first-time mom (or any time mom) who wants to feel informed, supported, and truly seen -- please choose AshLee. You won't regret it.

We were a little on the fence about hiring a doula since this was our second baby, but we really wanted that holistic, nurturing care that a hospital alone can't always provide -- and Nomarie was exactly what we'd hoped for. I'm not what you'd call a "country granola" type of mom -- I went into this birth fully planning on (and very much wanting!) all the pain relief and medical support. But there's still such an important place for a doula in that environment. Nomarie helped bring warmth, connection, and a truly holistic touch to what could have otherwise felt like a very clinical experience. From the very first meeting, she made us feel comfortable, supported, and truly heard. She took the time to understand our hopes for the birth and was such a calming, confident presence every step of the way. When labor began, Nomarie was our angel -- grounding us through every contraction, guiding my partner on how to support me, and helping us navigate all the twists and turns that came our way. Even when things got complicated after our baby was born, she never left our side. Her steady reassurance and calm energy made us feel safe and less scared during a really overwhelming moment. Looking back, I honestly can't imagine our birth experience without her. She helped us feel empowered and cared for in one of the most intense and beautiful moments of our lives. I would recommend Doula Love and Nomarie a thousand times over -- they gave us the support we didn't even know we needed.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a world where sweat glistens a bit more elegantly. The MAC isn't just a gym it's a sanctuary of stature. You don't simply walk in... oh no, you belong here. Membership isn't a convenience, it's a declaration. Behind those doors lies a realm of polished marble, hushed conversations, and the faint, dignified clink of perfectly chilled water glasses. Inside, it's sleek immaculately so. Machines aligned like soldiers of fortune, locker rooms that whisper spa-day indulgence, and a calm that feels imported from somewhere far more exclusive than downtown Portland. This is where ambition meets tranquility... where CEOs, legacy names, and those in-the-know escape the city's chaos without ever leaving it. And the vibe? Think Nob Hill with a gym membership and a trust fund. There's no chaos, no clanging weights echoing into oblivion just refined motion, deliberate pace, and an understanding that wellness, like wealth, should be curated. So if you find yourself wandering downtown, peering in like Gatsby outside the green light, just know: this isn't merely a place to work out. It's a lifestyle one you don't stumble into... you ascend into. Lifestyles of the fit and the fabulous, darling.

The a la Grivois cocktail started the experience on a high note: amaro and vermouth together make for a velvety sweetness. The house green soup was a winner, I'm sure the French Onion would be also. We were there for prime rib night and their version rivals that at Clyde's: a hearty cut and full of flavor. At first glance, I was disappointment to see scalloped-type potatoes, but these were the best I've had. The warm bread and salad were above par. Great service by one of the long time waiters.

Like plethora of others in the reviews have mentioned, you are met with security that's far from friendly. My wife and I were greeted by security who held up his hand like he was holding an invisible business card. "ID" is all he said. Sure, no worries, we are in our forties. Hand it over. He then proceeds to ask us about marijuana products on our person..... WAIT, WHAT? This is the Pacific Northwest, my guy. I've seen legit bongs on curbside picnic tables at other bars (Thunderbird on Foster). But this guy wants to peruse your bags trying to find weed. I lied to this securi-nerd, and waltz'd past him. I'm a grown adult, my legal toking is none of your business. Took awhile to get two basic beers. We were met with smiles by staff, but they didn't ask us if we wanted a drink or menu. Finally someone came over and took our drink order. This was a one and done place for us. It has this fake feeling of a PACNW dive bar. It didn't feel legit. It felt put on. Noticed a large table of locals wearing "OREGUNIAN" sweatshirts, and the vibe at this place is just way off. I felt like I was on the East coast--not the West coast. Again, who asks patrons if thy have weed on them with zero explanation? Every single music venue I've been to in Portland could not give less of a crap about your weed vape, so why does this pretend dive bar? What a weird, un-Portland like vibe. The ick is real.
