Some decor inside She Bop

This is a pretty awesome store! I was looking for something like this in Portland. Seattle has a few stores that are similar and I am glad that I finally made it here to check it out. She Bop is an adult boutique... obviously with a sex positive attitude. She Bop is more oriented for female clientele but as you continue to observe through the selection of books and other adult toys it applies to a broader customer base as well. The staff here are super friendly and very informative about all of their products. She Bop is also very clean...a far cry from those adult oriented businesses that you may see in a 70's grindhouse flick. Definitely worth return trips since it such fun, welcoming place for those of us who are not in the vanilla variety.

The Titanic exhibit was really interesting and packed with information about the ship, passengers, and its history. There was a lot to see and read, which I enjoyed, but some of the interactive screens had so much information packed into them that it took quite a while to get through everything. You either end up waiting for the person ahead of you to finish, or you feel pressured to move along when people start piling up behind you. I found myself skipping some of it because of that. A few more screens to spread everything out would have made the experience better. We also watched One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure at the planetarium, which our son enjoyed. The Science Playground was fantastic too. It was really fun watching our son explore and play with all the different activities. We didn't have enough time to see the rest of the museum, so there's more for us to explore another time.

Those are separate from the regular admission. And okay for free go check it out because it's 2-2.5 hours tops that you will spend. For little kids there is not much. For kids over 9 not that much. For elementary aged kids maybe through 3rd or 4th grade there is a lot. I don't like coming because between parking (which is always crazy,) and then paying for every little thing - it's expensive. But IF you go on a free day it's worth while. The Submarine tour is amazing. My daughter and guy did the Titanic exhibit a few months back and both really liked it. But that's not my jam. Nor is it something I'd pay for. It's also disappointing how many things are broken or can't be used. With what y'all charge it should be WAY more of a museum.

The production value alone is enough to write a review about. This is no pop-up drag show in some bar, this is a full-on production with seasoned and dedicated queens. We are talking professional sound, multiple lighting engineers, and a legit stage with all of the theatrical bells and whistles. The walls are covered with portraits of all the queens who have graced the building over the years. It's the type of place where you can just FEEL the history. You can tell it is clearly a very special and well-loved place. Have an occasion coming up? Darcelle's is a fabulous place to celebrate a birthday, wedding, divorce, anything! They have seated drag shows Friday and Saturday nights (followed by the men of Darcelle's strip show!), and a drag brunch show on Sundays (only $32 for breakfast AND a show!). On Tuesday nights they do an open call drag competition and it's only $5 to get in and they have $7 drink and food specials all night. You cannot beat that deal...especially being downtown! As someone who works weekends in the entertainment industry, it is amazing to have something fun and affordable to do on a Tuesday night. Do not miss this experience!

The brunch wasn't the star of the show but the queens ate and left no crumbs. Service was very friend and fun! Membership isn't a convenience, it's a declaration. Behind those doors lies a realm of polished marble, hushed conversations, and the faint, dignified clink of perfectly chilled water glasses. Inside, it's sleek immaculately so. Machines aligned like soldiers of fortune, locker rooms that whisper spa-day indulgence, and a calm that feels imported from somewhere far more exclusive than downtown Portland. This is where ambition meets tranquility... where CEOs, legacy names, and those in-the-know escape the city's chaos without ever leaving it. And the vibe? Think Nob Hill with a gym membership and a trust fund. There's no chaos, no clanging weights echoing into oblivion just refined motion, deliberate pace, and an understanding that wellness, like wealth, should be curated. The a la Grivois cocktail started the experience on a high note: amaro and vermouth together make for a velvety sweetness. The house green soup was a winner, I'm sure the French Onion would be also. We were there for prime rib night and their version rivals that at Clyde's: a hearty cut and full of flavor. At first glance, I was disappointment to see scalloped-type potatoes, but these were the best I've had. The warm bread and salad were above par. Great service by one of the long time waiters.

The only downside I see is that the parking lot next to it doesn't belong to them according to the person I bought my ticket from. I have mobility issues so I park in ADA and did so. The lot has a ton of tow notices clearly stating customer parking only, but the building seems up for lease. And when I went back to my car, there was a very graffiti covered bent sign, which looked like it was saying parking for the theater. I'm paranoid because some of those tow companies are straight up scary. Just saying park at your own risk. The bathroom... clean, easy to navigate with soap, easy to use sink and you get to wipe your hands. Concessions - yes! And thank you for having such a great selection, actual ice, fountain soda... delicious popcorn that was fresh... and Bravo to the sweetheart responding to my epic butter request by demonstrating how heavy the bag was.... I love you so much! The prices are completely great too! I am always scared going in to a new space, especially when I am going to be sitting down in that seat for 2 hours. What a great surprise this was - when I picked the seat on the screen, the guy said he felt the ADA seat was really the best seat in the theater at Laurelhurst.
