I've been here several times out of curiosity. Well, the first was curiosity and the others were boredom and because I was in the area with nothing to do. The last time was at least 4 years ago. I wanted to see their video collection. They tons of choices and they seem to be mostly current and they carry new releases. There's another porn store nearby down the road (not sure of the name) but I went in there once and everything was at least 5 years old from what I could tell and not much of a selection. Taboo has tons of choices and has lots of categories and a nice clean store layout. Very easy to find what you want. Also a big selection of toys and magazines. Do people still buy magazines? Or videos much when everything is free nowadays? It's like $4 to rent something here from what I recall. They have a deal where they let you rent one movie a month for free, you don't have to rent anything, you can just rent the one movie and get it free. I would use that I guess but I have the internet so there's no use to drive back and forth. Once you've been to a few porn shops you kind of lose interest and it doesn't seem like it's forbidden anymore. Gotta stop in at least once to a porn shop if you've just turned 18+, it's a right of passage. The staff is friendly at this place. I noticed the few times I've stopped in that lots of guys go into the arcade. I've never been in one. They run porn films in there. I guess its for people who have a family and can't have porn films at home or people driving across the county. One time while walking out the door, after looking around the straight films for awhile because I was near the mall and bored, a grungy looking gay guy stopped me and asked if I wanted to hook up. Last weekend my boyfriend went in the store and was talked into buying a mini wand saying it would be stronger than my cheap vibrator.. WRONG! While my boyfriend was in there a customer recommended a pill that lasts 3 days. Today I go in (to get my $8 toy) and I grab the pill I thought he was talking about. Worst adult shop I've EVER made any purchase from! Not only do they have pretty much zero variety on vibrators,but the pathetic ones they have are overpriced and some of the lowest quality ever made! I went in and bought a vibrator and had them put batteries in to test it. It worked fine..... for a whole two seconds! I took it home and got ONE USE out of it before it died on me! I thought maybe I had a fluke battery, nope! Batteries weren't the problem, it just stopped working for no reason. Just wouldn't turn on. And of course, zero return policy. When I turned 18, this was the first place I came to with my newfound freedom. My first time being in an adult store wasn't intimidating or daunting at all. I've had more than my fair share of experience with sex, toys, and kinks so that's probably why. The first product I bought was an Apollo Reversible Masturbator (Grip). This was a good buy and it gets the job done. There isn't much insertable length though. Don't get too rough with it because if you try to shove your entire length inside, the top will tear (I know this because it happened to me but only a small tear). Otherwise, great product! I also bought a Crystal Fleshjack. Amazing buy! It was around $80 but it's high quality and has many more uses compared to the Apollo product. The arcade is also good. Clean rooms. The buttons are a bit finicky though. Something weird is that the Taboo location in Portland on MLK has buddy rooms, gloryhole rooms, voyeur rooms, and single rooms of course. But this location only allows one person per booth. I wonder why they differ but that's the only thing I'd change about this location. Overall, this is a great place!
