I would not recommend frogbox to anyone. As they clearly cannot manage their delivery schedule. First, I was asked to move my box delivery date by them to a day early. I moved my schedule in order to help them out. Then when it came to pickup they did not show up. Their reasoning was that I had not responded to an email confirming pickup. Naturally as anyone moving would be, I was busy and missed the email. It is not a good look that they would not honour a default pickup date. They indicated that this is because they have a "busy long weekend". That's PR for they overbooked themselves. if you're trying to pay them to make your move easier, it certainly does not do that. Let's not forget the main value of the product is not having to be worried about buying boxes and disposing of them... When I contacted support they offered a pickup date 5 days later and $50 refund. $50 does not cover having to move a week of my plans around due to their overbooking. So now after a stressful move I have boxes in my apartment making it difficult to move around. Taking up space that I would like to use to build new furniture, walk around in, etc. Frogbox made my move significantly harder not easier. I have previously used gorilla box and will use them moving forward. read more

I used them last year for my move - best moving-related decision I ever made. I had always used cardboard before this, and my primary reason was the environmental benefit, but when the dust settled the more significant reason is the time-savings for the movers - they don't have to make up cardboard boxes, they don't have to collapse the boxes afterwards, and just the time savings from this alone makes it worth the rental fee. Moving is stressful, no matter the circumstances. I didn't realize, though, that there's a wonderful solution to at least one of the stressors surrounding a move, and that is about packing boxes. I've moved my business four times in the past year due to a flood in my old building and then the end of my lease coming before my new space was open, and then into my new space finally. Only on my final move did I make the decision to go with Frogboxes, and I'm honestly wishing I had used them for every move. The ghosts of miles of packing tape haunt me! They are super responsive, delivered two huge stacks of boxes upstairs to my pop up space and came to pick them up from the new spot, with nary a complaint. I was able to extend the rental easily, and felt guilt-free about this move from an environmental standpoint. They're fast, convenient and clean - I encourage anyone considering a move with Frogbox to go for it. You'll pay as much for packing tape as you would for these, so go ahead and do it. read more

The boxes were delivered ahead of the window they provided me with. no Big deal. Then pick up time came and I selected a time and got an email advising the time would be different. I rearranged my day for the new pick up window. Than the driver called me 1 hour before the window and told me he will pick them out earlier. I was in the middle of an inspection elsewhere and would not Be home until the window of time I agreed on. If you provide customers with a time window, then change it and the customer agrees to end up changing It again what is the point? read more

Soooo, I'm basically renting a box? For the same price I would pay if buying rubbermaids? Suspicious. Why would I do such a thing? Why, robin? (yes, I'm playing call and answer with myself) Because moving is complicated enough that I don't want to have to deal with going to some big box store to buy a couple of giant rubbermaids, haul them home in what's likely to be either some form of public transit or a tiny car-share type of vehicle. Also, Vancouver apartments are small. Just where the hell do I think I'm going to put the the big ugly blue rubber boxes once I'm done with them? Mies would not approve. Smart idea, Frogbox. The whole process was so SO easy. Order the boxes online, call to let them know that I don't actually need that many, they change my order, no questions asked. A couple of days later, an entirely friendly Frogbox delivery man shows up with a whack load of big green boxes for me to fill with physical objects that represent my life. And because I like to torture myself, I moved everything on my own. Even with my sometimes erratic driving, these bad boys stayed in place. Not a box toppled the whole drive across the city. A few days later, friendly Frogbox delivery man shows up at my new door, and just like that, the giant green boxes are gone. Poof! Also, as an aside, Frogbox is local, Frogbox is sustainable, and Frogbox works to help those little froggies in the Pacific Northwest restore their own homes. You know, so they don't go poof... a reason to use the service right there, I'd wager. read more

Ok so we usually always grab frog boxes for moving, BUT I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. In two of the frog boxes there was CAT PEE ( HOW DISGUSTING IS THAT) ! It stunk! Much easier than cardboard boxes, and about as clean as used cardboard boxes. But not quite as clean as new cardboard moving boxes. Our frogboxes had a bit of grime in them, especially in the corners. Not terribly dirty, but not as clean as could be. The wardrobe boxes were in pretty bad shape. When assembled, they wouldn't hold their shape very well at all, making it difficult to pack. Once loaded, the weight of the clothes on the hanger rods stabilized them. They are very easy to pack, and stack very nicely. Not sure I would use them again because ours' were a bit dingy. The delivery guy was going to give us removable labels so we could label each box, but he ran out so only gave us a few. We ended up using our own masking tape. Some tips: - Distribute heavy items into several frogboxes so no single frogbox is too heavy. Example would be books; load a few books into each frogbox, then top with lighter items (e.g. textiles). - If your frogboxes are dirty, line them with new garbage bags before loading "clean" items. Example would be clean clothes, dishes, etc. read more

I will use Frogbox next time I move for sure. They were recommended strongly by a friend so I checked them out and they seemed really great. 1% of the proceeds go to Frog Habitats! Hell yeah, frogs rule. AND, no wasting paper! I will never use cardboard again. I never realized how annoying all the flattening, taping, folding and disposal was until I didn't have to do it. The boxes are a perfect size. It's hard to get carried away and make them too heavy... unless you fill them with only books, but that's unavoidable. Also, they're stackable! Good for saving space when you have a lot more packing and organizing to do. They are really really flexible about the delivery and pickup time (you can select while you order online!) and they show up right away. There are also wardrobes you can get if you have any items of clothing that you want hanging and not folded. I ordered one as well just in case, but didn't really end up needing it. My delivery guy gave me a roll of labels to put on top of each box. They stick well but peel off really easy. Handy! They even included a bottle of complimentary enviro-friendly multi purpose cleaner. I think it was for me at least... because I didn't give it back...and they haven't asked for it. :| Oh, and they lend you a moving dolly too. Freaking awesome. read more

Long live the frog! I'm sure you're thinking, 'it's just boxes, what's the big deal?". I'll admit that I was skeptical at first too, but when we decided to do much of our recent cross-town move by ourselves ... frogboxes seemed like a nice fit. The local company rents frogboxes which are big, sturdy, stackable, reusable boxes. I'm all for not killing the environment by using an abundance of cardboard, but I was more drawn to how easy the boxes would be to handle. Super sturdy with built-in handles, as well as the ability to stack. Frogbox rents the boxes in various size quantities and we found 25 boxes the perfect fit for our one bedroom. We re-filled some of the boxes and probably packed about 35 in total. The boxes were delivered on time (2-hour window) and were super clean (no smelly, sticky boxes). The delivery guy was so down to earth and friendly (no sketchy dudes). We used the boxes for two weeks .... and decided we needed one more day. I called Frogbox and got a cheerful voice who said, "no problem!". They arrived today and picked up the boxes, once again ... a super nice driver. Couldn't be happier -- using Frogboxes and Go Truck Go (see my other review on this mover) allowed us to do our move for just under $300 in total! Both are great local businesses! read more

The transaction did not provide al confirmation number, email or a returned phone. Not only that my credit card has been charged Frogbox has ghosted me!!! call the number and they do not answer during business hours. I tried frogbox for the first time in 2009 then again in 2010 then again in 2011. I will continue to use their services for my moving needs. It is definitely a bit pricier than some of the other alternatives but if you think about some other factors, it suddenly doesn't seem that expensive: 1. They deliver to your current address and will pick up the boxes from your new address (the delivery guy was on time and was extremely pleasant to deal with) 2. These boxes are sturdy as and they are very easy to use and stack away after 3. No additional packing supply need (ie. tape) and you don't have to assemble them 4. You can choose to rent them for different lengths of time if you are slow packer/unpacker (they're stackable, so they don't take up a lot of space in case you are done with them early) 5. Less environmental impact using these boxes over the traditional cardboard boxes 6. They donate 1% of their revenues to the restoration of frog habitats Of course there will always be a cheaper alternative, but at least for me, I find that it's money well spent when you save time and lower your stress level in already a very stressful event in your life while doing good for the environment! read more

Excellent service!! Well, I called Frog Box and spoke to Mike, super friendly person on the phone. I explained that i needed the boxes asap and could he deliver them today! No problem he said I could have a guy in your area, ( North Vancouver) later that day! Great was all i could think. The delivery would be between 2-5 that same day. The delivery person ( DARN DIDNT GET HIS NAME) called me 3 times explaining that he was running late coming back from Squamish with traffic ad the rain that day. The boxes arrived and were deivered up my very long driveway and neatly tucked under the awning of my garage where i wanted them. It turns out I looked at my calender and completely had the wrong date for my move. I also heard from our contractors and the house that was to be ready to be moved in will NOT be ready.. Now i don't even need the Frog Box's until middle of October and it not even the end of September yet!! I called Mike again and he said he would extend my rental for another week at no extra charge! Who does that these days?? That is customer service at its finest! So happy with this company, i cant say enough. read more

I Could have sworn I wrote a review for these guys. I used Frogbox in summer '13. I got enough for 1 bdrm, but wish I had ordered more. 5-10 More. The boxes were very clean, smelling like vinegar, as claimed. I requested to have them for two weeks and I think even had them for less of the time since it was an encouraging way to get your stuff unpacked. I did not have to make ten trips to the grocery store for boxes. Mr. Frogbox Guy just came in and dropped them off/picked them up. They have two sizes a small and large. They also come with stickers so I was able to label all the" fragile " stickers on the boxes and the movers knew right away which helped on the communication and everything moved really fast. My recent experience with FrogBox, as usual, has been challenging. After supporting this company over the years with various moves, I am always disappointed with the execution and the order through delivery process. If it wasn't for the fact that I love the product, I'm not sure I would ever recommend them to anyone. Good thing I followed up with the Vancouver location when I didn't receive a confirmation of my order booked online as it was lost. Don't call the 1-800 number because that goes nowhere other than a survey loop for a free trip... that's bad style. After eventually reaching the Vancouver location directly, FrogBox assured me I would still receive the order between 9:30 - 12:30 as originally requested. Not only was the order late (2:30pm) which affected the progress of our move but the FBox driver ruined my mother's front lawn with his lack of driving ability, care or attention to where he was going. After complaining about this and further problems (no supplied labels and other issues), they covered the costs of the tote rental in full which was very much appreciated but I wasn't looking for a freebee, I was looking for timely, well executed service from drivers who are professional with their appearance and conduct. The crazy thing is, I will rent from FBox again because the totes are perfect. Strong, durable, stackable and environmentally responsible - this is what ultimately matters to me but I hope it's easier next time. We used them when we moved, and it was a dream. Hassle-free delivery. The boxes were light enough for me to carry, stacked well, and saved us TONS of space when we were unpacking. I chose Frogbox not for any environmental reason, but because I didn't want to go through the trouble of finding boxes for our move, and because I didn't want to further attract silverfish into our new place (they love feeding on paper and paper-based products). It was just a bonus that FB delivers and picks up after work hours, and that their boxes eventually made us more space-efficient during our move. All of the boxes were the same size, so there was little wasted space in the back of the van where our boxes were. All in all I'd really recommend them. No surprises, the price and service were exactly as advertised, and they ended up saving us a lot of time in the end. I'm planning on using them again when I move in a few months. As a side note, knowing that the boxes had to be returned after a week prompted us to unpack faster. The entire apartment was set up 5 days after our move. Success! read more

Frogbox is a simple service, well-executed. You need boxes? They got boxes: big, solid (but lightweight), plastic affairs. They'll drop them off at your old pad, you pack and move them, and then they swing by the new place to take 'em back. They'll make drops on the weekend and at convenient weekday hours. The drivers are friendly and efficient, and can show up on pretty short notice. The Frogbox guys are smart enough to ask for Yelp reviews a couple times in their follow-up customer satisfaction survey, which I think explains why they have so many: not just shenanigans! Give them a look if you don't have time to look for cast-off boxes and won't have a place to store purchased cardboard boxes from e.g. Uline; it'll be the lowest-drama part of your move. read more

Super convenient service! No need for packing tape, the boxes close up on their own. they stack up really high so they take up less space. Their volume is pretty large so most items fit without any trouble. All the staff we encountered were amazingly friendly. Really great service - will never move again without Frogbox! The staff is really easy to deal with. I needed a 1 week extension and they responded to my email within 5 minutes and didn't require any more info. The whole process is just so easy I can't imagine going around trying to find cardboard boxes to move. Only thing I noticed was that there weren't enough labels for the boxes, so maybe ask for them to add extra. A suggestion for Frogbox would be to make boxes specifically for wine glasses (with square slots like a liquor case) or delicate items. read more

We had a great experience with Frogbox! Soooo easy. Especially if you don't have a car. Delivered straight to you, picked up from your new place. Plus, because they're all the same size and made to stack on each other, they fit into a truck like buttah, people. However, after I made my complaint, I almost immediately heard from two senior representatives of the company with what I felt were sincere apologies. I also believe that my experience wasn't normal and that this company is serious about its service. Moving is stressful, so anything to ease the procedure is fantastic as far as I'm concerned. A friend gave us the Frogbox service as a gift, and we were a bit skeptical at first, but we are now complete converts. Frogbox makes moving easy: they deliver the boxes to your door and pick them up at a pre-approved time after your move. If you need more time, you can continue to rent the boxes at a very reasonable price. They also include labels (which you don't have to take off--they take care of all that). The delivery people are helpful and will answer all of your questions. Further, you are sent e-mail reminders about drop-off and pick-up. They also call fifteen minutes before they arrive--it's great. I wish I'd known that you can also order packing paper, bubble wrap, and plastic ties through Frogbox. Also, the big boxes are really big, and when they're full, they weigh....a lot. Next time, we'll order three times as many small boxes and half as many big boxes. Oh, this made the move so much easier. The boxes were easy to stack, big enough for pots and such from the kitchen, and came with labels, so the movers knew where to put the boxes in the new place! We used Frogbox based on a review we saw on Yelp and could not have been more impressed. Many moves over the years have resulted in hundreds of wasted cardboard boxes and we found the cost, the ease of booking and the reliable service fantastic. I booked online and found the process quick and easy. The delivery was on time and the boxes, labels and dolly self explanatory (of course). The size of the boxes is different from some I have used in the past but I found that for all but the unusually big items I really liked the size. They hold a ton of stuff and aren't big enough that I would overload them and make them unmanageable. I will only use Frogbox for any future moves and am more than happy to refer my clients to them. We just used Frogboxes for a move - Since we were moving into a different unit in the same building, same floor even, using Frog Boxes made the most sense. They are much better than cardboard boxes! The delivery guy (both drop off and pick-up) was always on-time, and incredibly friendly! Our boxes were clean and we didn't have any issue with any of them.
